  1. I have the EXACT same problem. I'm running an HD 4830, so the problem seems to lie with ATI cards. Although, I downloaded the game from STEAM and using Windows 7. As far as I know, I'm running the latest drivers for my card.

Using /reloadgfx usually clears the problem after two or 3 tries. Still, it's VERY annoying.
  2. Maybe you could get confront/provoke, to try to keep the mobs on you, while using bodyguard mode.

From what I can tell, using Seeker Drones first would also be a good idea, since it lowers the enemies change to hit, and damage potential. Lastly, summoning the traps/mines at YOUR location before you engage, then using provoke to bring them to you should work.

Even then, loosing just one Battle Drone in a tough fight isn't much.

P.S. Glad to see I'm not the only one suffering in this Phoenix weather

So....like does no one like my costume? it's just a trial...

    Geeze FEEDBACK people.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the blue. Looks...strange. I'd go with a little softer blue - and not so much of it. But of course, that's my opinion. Also, the logo reminds me of Canada.

Also, not sure if anyone caught my costume (I edited the post instead of making a new one).

  4. I'm usually pretty good with the Costume Creator... How are you guys taking the pictures in-game? I'll post mine in a sec.

    EDIT:

    Here we go

    Normal Shot

    Weapons Drawn
  5. Sadly, I don't see Mercs being mentioned at all.

From my limited experience, I'd put Ninjas at the top of damage (no matter how ugly Oni is). Thugs would oust Bots for survivability in my opinion.
  6. With a Pain Corruptor to back you up, I'd go with the most damaging secondary - Fire. It may be a little squishy, but that won't be a problem with a Pain Corruptor by your side. For a primary, Super Strength is always a good choice.

    Vyriss - Bots/?

Hey all, thinking of making another Mastermind. I've decided on a Robotics primary, but I am lost on what to pick as a secondary. The catch is, I'm a very concept-oriented player, so having a good concept is dire.

I've been thinking either Bots/Dark, Bots/Storm, or Bots/Pain (Traps, TA, and FF, the logical choices for concept, are out).

What I want to know is, for all you Bots/Dark-Storm-Pain Masterminds out there, what kind of concept did you create for your character? I already have a name - Vyriss.

P.S. If it's possible to upload pictures, I could show the costume.

Thanks, and sorry for the "unusual" post.
  8. I'd have to agree with Smurphy. I don't think you have to worry about the "ideal" trio just yet. Just follow your interests, but I would recommend at least one of you try a Archetype with a support (either primary or secondary will do) set, as it'll make things a little easier in the long run.

Knowing what I know now (just came back from a 2 year break), I'd say a Blaster/Controller/Scrapper trio would make a pretty efficient team. Pretty much any primary/secondary combo would be fine, just pick what sounds fun. Also, picking power sets that follow a concept or theme (if that matters to you) usually results in a more enjoyable time. Welcome to the game!
  9. Well, I've been playing CoX on Windows 7 for about a month now... No problems here. Although, I'm using a simple Logitech Keyboard. The keybinds I've been using for my mastermind on the numeric keypad have been working fine.

So, I can pretty much confirm it's not a Windows 7 problem (at least not a universal one). Not sure about the gamepad though, but that's where I would look first (not very familiar with gamepads).

P.S. Don't go back to Vista
  10. Hey all, coming back to the game after two years (Lost my old account). I'm interested in making a melee villain, but the "gotta move" mentality of a Brute is too much for me. So, I'm looking for a nice stalker. If I understand correctly, Stalker's attacks now have a change to crit, OUTSIDE of hide, which seems like a pretty nice boost.

Also, like to team a lot, and have been wondering what role Stalkers usually take on, and any tips on how to approach battles (solo and teamed). It seems I'm always face planting in the early levels... Lastly, any suggestions on a good primary to go with /ninja. I've been reading around the forums, and it seems like a good AoE primary would work best when teaming? I know elec and spines are good AoE primaries, but not very familiar with the rest. Any and all tips are appreciated. Thanks!
