Quote:or you could get broken-in like this kid was.Not necessarily, I don't suck up to any of these people, and I'm considerably better on my Psy/em (not that its hard to be good on one) then most of these so called incredible PvP'ers, yet I'm still called bad and laughed at when wanting to join a roster.
If I were you i'd listen to the likes of Con, Mac, Vinnie, Peril, Psoma... Even perhaps Barrier on a good day rather then letting obvious trolls troll you. -
add @penny to the roster for some reference old school drama, kk?

Also, I think we should just have a rule that says something like
"All matches will take place on the test server. If test is not available on the date of the event, matches must be rescheduled on Freedom within a week of the original set date."
Basically, what we need to prevent is the ladder coming to a stand-still because of test's erratic uptimes; challenges need to be expedited; and that's how we can use freedom. If test goes to closed beta, then we can go on and play on Freedom of course, but live servers should not be where a ladder takes place. -
Quote:I think we have all learned in the past that test is horribly unreliable. I know the guy's that have been around awhile know. I mean you can try test...but don't be upset when two day's later Test goes down because they added jog and had to close down test....
i'd rather get 3-4 weeks of solid skill-based competition and then step down to loot-skill-based competition than have it all be loot-skill based from the start. -
Quote:2-3 colds in zone.I hear there's alot of fight clubbers there so try to develope a strategy that can take out meleers fast. damage dealer and a debuffer usually works. for example a therm/rad/cold corr and a stalker/dom/ or another corr, poison MM + corr/brute, psy blaster + rad/therm/cold defender or troller.
i remember haunt (rad/cold) and i (fire/cold) switching to cold corrs when the retardo scrapperfests happened in freedom... basically ended it really quick if someone was healing or if we both had trayfulls of green.. -

Quote:definitely beats TV.I disagree... while actual physical activities are important, I think that PvP in an MMO is a GOOD thing for kids today(minus the smack talk and other nonsense) because unlike a lot of activities today, there is no "everyone is special and everyone wins". They get to play and lose and learn from that... that is a healthy thing as well.

ice/psi sucks without pvp procs, and then, it's only an acceptable disruption toon or a way to mess with bad zone scrappers.

Quote:back in i12, i didn't have to market pvp / pve / farm / get io's on live. and everything was happening on test. i'm pretty sure that throughout i11-i13, i logged into live about a third as often as i logged into test; noting that i barely PL'd stuff outside of dxp weekends or in teams. So all the other leagues and pvp events in the past while the old ladder was running split the communities? Really? I find that hilarious. When I was on test (and yeah I know vinnie I was on garbage teams that didnt count) I also participated in tvplp or whatever it was called for two seasons and a league on Pinnacle at the same time. I partipated in every PVPEC event or random event that happened on any server I happened to have toons on at the same time. It wasn't that hard. I still had time to play the game, have a real life etc. More pvp = more fun. Being several on my test team and other test teams did the exact same thing I know I wasn't the only one or that this is a hard concept to wrap your mind around.
that's what makes it all different. haves and have-nots is what this last league became. playing on freedom makes sense as a back-up, but with blind line-ups, it's bound to be equally as stupid as this last league.
adding the pressure of performing in a live environment is gonna take away from people pvping on test...
anyways... i'm not ever gonna be up for spending enough time in game to rival -divine's 200 dollar tanks. even if i'm talking about sitting afk on justice on two boxes with a MM and a tank.
in the end, that bs we went through was a battle of teh loots. and yeah, stupid game design is stupid. -

Arb, quad slot performance shifters into stamina. Three slotting it isn't enough unless you aren't running toggles.
It will make a huge difference. -
