wait wait wait... playing a stalker with forts and mm's up your *** is easier than playing a psi/em? seriously, dex?
-
Quote:An argument for that could be made.So we shouldnt add rules? hmmm TS and HD are on then? hmm your new system sure sounds like fiteklub to me.
But if the last league didn't prove to you how the blind-line-up submission completely wrecked the roles of even more ATs when it came to high-end pvp matches, then there's no way you're gonna see things from my point of view.
i'm PERSONALLY ok with no ts no hd because I (MEMEMEMEME) believe they up the skill-ante, the game stops being a JUST damage spam. so yes, it's fiteclub. it's huge fiteclub.
if you can make an argument that states that playing a psy/em in a league match took more skill than playing a stalker with 4 forts up your *** much like in i12, then i might see things your way. i'd rather be challenged by countering teams than keep playing mf dice with line-ups. -

Quote:HAHAHAHAHAHAHApoison works much better in a fiteclub match than it does teaming. If poison were ported to corrs I'd be singing a different tune, but currently I'd choose TA over poison on MMs, hell I'd choose TA over poison in a MM vs MM match too.
so much bad info.
soooo bad.
bringing a poison to a team match is like bringing 3 cold corruptors. gtfo. -

hey that's the dude that cries when i pop greens in zone.
-
Quote:ok, cool, then instead of 6 psi/ems and 2 emps, we might consider bringing a few forts, and omg omg omg a mastermind or two? nooooo waaaai?I promise you see 2 emps 6 stalkers or maybe the elusive 8 stalker team
, first week of matches. And why wouldnt a team... 6 shraks is 3000 damage roughly.
so go ahead.
go for the full stalker team.
oh but wait, you get all emo when people counter-pick. guess you'll need a rule for that. -

Quote:add to that the fact that it is a viable strategy to send greens to the people that are getting targeted the most mid-match. i've played toons where i don't get touched at all throughout a full match, and we've all heard "i'm out of greens" on vent once in a while. hitting hiber for 10 secs and sending out 5 greens to that dude might be worthwhile.even if you counted 20+ greens being popped people could claim they got them from drops from getting kills.
with observers flight being broken, it would be nearly impossible to watch for anyway.
imo this isnt a problem we should worry about policing because we really just cant. best you can do is hope for a fix.
you just gotta be teh beast of typing in forst to do it quickly enough. -
Quote:defense does get DR'd to trash in MMs. 40%+ ends up being around 14% in PVP. building for defense is a bad idea. now, you do have to get webs if you plan on actually pvping so, you're gonna get your 15% want it or not. in my next respec for my bots/therm, it's going with zero shield and with webs, and i'm taking tactics not phase.Wait this is for a PvP MM right? if that's the case why in the world did you gimp your toon to get that much recovery? you'll never need more than 200% even if your running like 5-6 toggles. Also resistance is more important to a PvP MM than defense; even regen is more important than defense for a MM. This time around try to get more +recharge for the sake of your debuffs and pets.

post elusivity nerf i played my sr brute for 5 minutes before gutting it.
it's bad. -
wouldn't do it unless you're an ice/cold troller or something that lives off of -recharge almost exclusively. i use two of those on my ice/ice dom for messing with buffers in kickballs.

Quote:im going to have 20 greens in my email for every match. lolhonor.I don't think this is much of an issue, observers in and out of match tend to count out green inspirations used and you'd basically become a laughingstock if someone caught you using 40 greens or whatever.
You have to honour system it at this point, turn off emails under your settings and go from there. -
Quote:seeing as our team is pretty much against any regulation in the ladder, and we're heavily outnumbered by the "ban shraks" carebears, i'm pretty sure we could get behind this as a happy medium. My suggestion was pretty much If you have 1 or 2 stalkers, anything goes. If you have 3+ more none are allowed to shark. So for enforcing it, if you get a line up with 3+ in it all you do is snap a screenie, like if t-strike was used, and go from there.
Yeah you could end up with impale spikes, but it'd be interesting to see if they would be worse than a psi spike that has the three hit package along with the ability to continue to follow it up for serious damage, where as stalkers pretty much drop hide and half their damage. (From much less range) -
Just testing the waters;
What is the general consensus on banning more than 2 instances of shraking stalkers instead of just plain 2 stalker limits? -
some thoughts on roster limits:
people that think they should be played and aren't played because they are part of a huge roster have an extra incentive to quit and form their own teams.
newbies have the chance at warming benches and learning a few things by joining good teams (which will let them join since they can bench them if they don't improve while still having a starting 8, and not having to care about the roster cap itself). -

HP, Recovery (MMs eat end like nothing else), Recharge, Acc. Get tactics. Get Webnades. Don't expect to do anything but duel on a therm mm, the healing values are trash and you won't be able to out damage a single blaster wailing on your healing target.

Quote:you may be to fire blasters what ajax was to rads, but you'll still be a liability to your team by trowing ANYTHING other than psi.I know people wont take me theriouthly but barrier there are people with a peg leg to the olympics who actually win
have fun on steatoda/soul_torch's team. hopefully they can teach you a bit about teamwork and how not to be mr. telegraph.
