Hey guys, Iv'e been meaning to make a new character post-i16, but i havn't really had the time.

I was hoping you all could help me with a look for my new hero-to-be. He's going to be Electric Melee/Super Reflexes...

I was thinking of a more casual look, than that of the old-school "hero" look. Maybe something close to a modern Sasuke' from Naruto? Anyways, ill leave it up to you guys!!

Ok, I uninstalled object dock, updated to SP2(i believe) I had a pretty hefty update, and my fps seems to be better.

Somehow, my video drivers were washed, and i took this opportunity to roll back my driver as stated above, to maybe see if this helped, and now the colors on my monitor are odd. WAY too bright, and this is after installing display drivers and such.

I played Counterstrike Source, and I was getting about 65-70 fps. Thats about what i was getting before.

Anyone have anymore guidance?

Yea, I am, lol.
Well, at this point, the fps is tollereable, and i really dont have the money to go out and buy a new card.

But if i were to, would I see a huge increase in performance?

Also, my computer seems to be acting weird. At random times, the display driver will fail and crash back to windows. And like I said earlier in the post, the FPS isnt consistent. One time i play, i will get great fps, and another time, ill get terrible fps, and the only way to fix it, is to restart my computer.

Any ideas?

I actually messed up...I have a quad core core prosessor.
And I also overclocked my card and saw a small increase, but mainly from higher demanding games(Resident Evil 5) where I could play at 1080p with 40-50 fps.

I run CoH at 1080 as well.
So...if i buy a new graphics card, which one should i get, and would I see a huge increase in performance?

So do you think thats the reason for the inconsistent fps?

I mean, i was playing today and it barely dipped below 30 fps, and ive played Champions, and gotten great fps, and then other times, its terrible.

Kinda just bugs me, because i havt been keeping up with GPU's either, and so i figured since it had 1gb of dd3 vid memory that it would tear through CoH.

Hey guys, im kind of hoping you all can help me.
I seem to be having a problem with FPS(Frames per Second)...and im not sure why.

I just got a brand new Asus, 8 gigs of ram, dual core 2.4 ghz processor, and a nvidia gt220 GPU (1 gig of dd3 video memory).

Im currently getting around 30 fps with settings maxed, and sometimes it dips down into the teens when in combat. Is that about right for my computer's stats??

Also, sometimes ill boot up the game, and my fps will be single digits and low teens until i restart my computer(weird)

I consider myself pretty computer savvy, but im stumped, i have no idea whats wrong

I even overclocked my graphics card

Haha, i was running the ITF today, and completely hit eviscerate a few times thinking it was shockwave....lol

On a side note Umbral-Your slotting for DP is leagues better than what I had. I can already tell the difference. While running said TF, i popped DP, and by the middle of the next spawn, it was up again.

That aspct alone makes me feel more powerful

See, your still not getting it. I brought IO's into the mix about the HEAL portion, if YOU WERE GOING TO USE IT FOR THE HEAL.

IO's only further the ability of the power, so realistically, no, you dont NEED IO's if the power is used for what it is.

Hey guys, im kind of hoping you all can help me.
I seem to be having a problem with FPS(Frames per Second)...and im not sure why.

I just got a brand new Asus, 8 gigs of ram, dual core 2.4 ghz processor, and a nvidia gt220 GPU (1 gig of dd3 video memory).

Im currently getting around 30 fps with settings maxed, and sometimes it dips down into the teens when in combat. Is that about right for my computer's stats??

Also, sometimes ill boot up the game, and my fps will be single digits and low teens until i restart my computer(weird)

I consider myself pretty computer savvy, but im stumped, i have no idea whats wrong

I even overclocked my graphics card

Now, by altered, i mean, my builds not exactly this, but pretty close.

My question lies in that, for some reason i feel like i want/can achieve more. Dont get me wrong, this is currently my go-to guy, the defense on top of the resists just throws up a flurry of "deflected" when i jump into a spawn. But i feel like somethings missing.

Can someone just take a look, and see what modifications would further touch the point of "awsomesauce".

Unbral-Ive looked at your build for claws/inv as well, and wanted more defense, so i chose Jaxman's build and tweaked it. I will post my own build after i get home from class.

My current build-Kat/elec, mainly uses energize as something similar to DP.
The added goodies are just icing.

That being said, i wouldnt necessarily cut it out of my normal use. I mean, it ups my HP, which in turn makes my resists go a long way.

Nihilli-Id like to point out that, the abuse of energize was something that i didnt plan on doing, but merely caught myself doing just because i could :P
I do see where is can hurt DPS though.

Umbral-From your standpoint, its interesting to think just how high-end a build must be for your numbers to fit...lol.
I was messing around with some small IO's, just to get a feel for the expense of this build, and even coming from claws/inv, i got goosebumps...

Teo hit most of the points i would bring up.
But i would like to enphasize the need for hasten a little bit further with your current build. Without hasten, and im not a number wiz, but i dont believe you can pull off a high end attack chain.

The weapons mastery pool would bump your accuracy AND give you a better "batterang

Well, i was in test for a few minutes with my Kat/Elec...
So far, the combo is a beast. I may not take Lightening Field, but Kat's DA, just brings /elec's survivability through the roof. With minimal slotting, i was near untouchable.
I honestly, cant wait for live. Between my Elec/Sr, and kat/elec...the later proves to be wicked.

Though, ive yet to really "test" elec/sr. Maybe ill test for a few more hours and see how that goes...
