I noticed there was alot of interest in raiding hami on red side in the global channels--particularly freedom badge. I suspect a very small percentage of the freedom player base actually views these forums...maybe we should advertise and recruit more in game??

( I usually only come to the forums to see what TF Mr. Eman has scheduled for the week and sign up. It was a happy accident that i found this thread, i do so love to hami raid!)

There's a hami channel run by @leandro who runs weekly raids w/ the Ultra SG/coalitions. Its usually announced on the global channels as well--but @leandro can get you an invite to the Essence of earth channel if you want to keep up w/ freedom's raid schedule.

There have been other raids as well--Tammy recently ran one at the same time as Leo's raid..so freedom was raiding 2 hives at the same time this past saturday! I know that I managed to hit both hives for an HO in one (darn centriole) and 53 merits in hive 2!

Glad everyone stuck with it even with the zone crash--we all came back and were able to finish...and pretty new badge! Gratz all!

I would love to come if there's room--i have a fire/emp troller(lady morna) that could use the badge or a kin troller (fairy morna or morna baby--both are kins!) if the team needs a kin!

Yes, thanks to Mr. E-man and company for letting me tag along this Master run!! Woohoo! Pretty Sparkly Badge!

It was smoothly done and with 2 doms (infinite agony/burned bush) and a troller (barstow betty --hi scruffy!) the green mitos did not stand a chance and were no problem. And I have to add that luna nocturne pretty much solo'd the yellows as our only melee dealer ( yay scrapper! Now come to a zone hami raid--they are super fun!!)

Special thanks to Paragon (dom-infinite agony) for all the helpful tips on the mitos and clearing the way on the riders and rikti..that made for a much safer run. Also thanks to our awesome emp (roxana) for all the heals. And to scruffy for passing out much needed EoEs to all the heros..you rock! Mr. E for his great tanking--esp the hami part, where he stayed away from us squishys and his overall leadership. Plus, he set up this run!

And Thanks to our MM--Turg. This was my second successful run with a team that included him--you must be my lucky charm! So how bout another for my ill/rad corr? She wants the badge too!

Paragon! I thought of you when we were forming and had 2 open spots..i think i even sent you a global to see if you were on by any chance. You'll get the badge...don't give up. Its kinda fun too---especially since speed LGTFs were on hold for a while. Its fun to get a break from endless ITFs.

Good--i still need this badge on my villain badger! Fix that computer!!

Thanks to everyone on this team--we rocked and I didn't mind doing it twice, since I came out with 2 purples plus the sparkly new badge!! Yay!

Thanks to Leo for tping us all around--that sure made things go quick! And thanks to max for being our lone tanker...you're the best!! Fiery Lye had to be talked into staying w/ us for the second round as it was getting really late but we couldn't have done it without you! (though I still wonder why the pylons seem to love you so much!!). Phantom Quark did an awesome job helping us target the mitos..that mission seemed easy! Powershift and Mistress Rain added much needed comments that kept us awake and laughing, along with their ever popular AMs. And of course, thanks to Turg for leading and putting us all together.


It was great to run with y'all .....some of whom i haven't seen since our pet dropping days at hami...see, master runs do bring us together!

Thanks to Kotchie for inviting me for my 6th attempt at this badge (so 6th times the charm!) I had run with him and Dark Royal in about 4 previous failed attempts and I have to say that even when someone died, no one got upset or kicked and very often that person was invited to the next run. That's the attitude to have for a Masters attempt! (and such a refreshing change from the negativity on the badge forums towards this badge).

Even our successful attempt was not perfect, as we accidentally 'saved' the sisters and had to complete that mission the old fashioned way by saving 6 hostages and defeating the AV. But we plowed on and eventually everyone had a shiny new badge..Way to Go all!

Thanks to KOTCHIE for leading and DARK ROYAL for being a great MM--he always had his pets under control and not getting any stray aggro (it makes me want to role a MM..an AT i have avoided in the past.) CALIBURST, as i have told him, was the best blaster....never dipping into the red (as an emp, i know how squishy blasters are) and pretty much took out the blue mitos. SAURA kept all of us Sb'd, HOOTCHIE MAMA and MIND GAM3Z double teamed the greens and SHADOWRUSH was our yellow mito killer. Everyone worked together as a team--it was my first time teaming w/ some of you and i'm glad that freedom has such quality players (in contrast to our reputation).

Thanks also to those on my global channels TFU and FE for emailing me much needed inspirations during the tf when I posted for them...I've always loved freedom and how we come together as a community. I have a bunch of spare EoEs that i didn't use so anyone attempting another Master run..just shout out and i'll Email em to you! (or any other inspir your might need).

I'm sorry that SnowGlobe has had such bad experiences...for me, its been just the opposite. The "master of" badges are supposed to be challenging..you may not get them the first time nor should you expect to.

I just got MoLGTF this evening running with a PuG from freedom--i personally have had 6 previous attempts, and our leader was on his 8-9th attempt. We had a stalker die, a MM get too much aggro, several badly timed dc's... but no one was made to feel bad if they died. It can happen to anyone and its just a game, I think that's the attitude you need to go in with and not feel entitled to the badge.

As for community building, i think that the Master runs actually promote team building. There are regular runs for kahn, STF, RSF etc that are announced in game and on the forums. I myself tend to run with the same people but the Master runs make me step outside my little circle and meet other great players. For me, Master runs are a great social vehicle and I look forward to getting this on my villain badger.

The Perc committee is also having a Meet and Greet which might be a good place to check out the active SGs both red and blue side.

I think joining some active channels might serve your needs better--in addition to the Ultra channel (Hi PF!!!) I would recommend RF2009 and/or Freedom Elite. The latter would need an invite from myself or @coldfate2. All our global channels have late night/early morning activity--i know that i was recently on a late night shard TF from a PUG from these channels.

Oh, And freedom tf is our global channel for tfs that Alien One does a great job in keeping active, if tfs are your thing. Plus,that channel has PIE!!

This sounds like a great event and I'll certainly help spread the word on your Meet and Greet. I don't belong to any SG but if I'm on, I will make it a point to drop by Pocket D to see all the active SGs.
