  1. This along with a lot of other great desktop images are available at dccomics.com (Marvel has some great images, too). This after a long and painful rebuild.

  2. Hope it isn't too big. Of course I've already updated it with the new knowledge (after five years of playing this game) of how to display exp/etc).

    Playing

Quite nice. Really dig the style.

    BTW: +DeviantWatch
  4. Hi, I'm Gryph, I do many things, but drawing isn't one of them. I hang out, cheer the artists on, and sometimes pay for art.

    I hear there are meetings.
  5. +watch on xShaunx: Great portraits! Naga Obscura is a very interesting design.
  6. It automatically parses links so that they become hot links. This is a very popular system and I've used it elsewhere. I miss being able to run an entire thread, but that is just a quirk I'll miss. Other than that live images are tasty and I like looking at folk's sigs.

    Progress.

You definitely have an artist's eye and your work is speaking for itself right now. I especially like the cat and the bird is gorgeous.
  8. Hope I get an extention for double xp and new boards: Lousy_Day.
  9. Yayy! One of my favorite forum names has a birthday! HB HB HB HB!
  10. First off, Apologies. I took two different approaches. Of the two, I prefer the second, but am including the first as a look at a failed experiment.

    The original:

Popular and cocky, Jack Bryson was an All-American college linebacker with a promising career in professional football until the day he was involved in a terrible automobile accident. His knee was ruined and the doctors told him that we would never be able to play football again. Unwilling to give up his dream, Jack looked to other ways to fix his knee including accupunture, holistic medicine, and even psychic healers. One day a scientist offered an untried and experimental new procedure to regenerate damaged tissues and make him resistant to injury. The experiment fixed his knee, but instead of merely being resistant to injury he was nearly invulnerable and his body was imbued with an unexplained energy. Realizing the NFL would never let him play, Jack moved to Paragon City to use his powers to fight crime...not out of a strong sense of justice or civic duty; He just loves the fame and the fans. Recently he released his autobiography "You Don't Know Jack: The Jack of Spades Story" which is available at Amazon.com.

    It's Jack!

    Jack of Spades 1

I was trying to evoke a little of the playing card Jack. I'm not sure it worked all that well and I didn't hate it, but I wouldn't want to be playing him, so I tried again:

    Jack of Spades 2

This time I was just going for that Bad-a$$y tanker look. Sort of an amped up version of the original (or Ultimate version).

    Sorry it took so long.

Okay scrapping the Summer idea... found some "other things"... and Foo, nevermind on a main, I have another idea concerning you.... muahahaha...

    [/ QUOTE ]

What can you possibly do to Foo that Foo hasn't already volunteered for?
  12. So, do you want a premise for an on-going strip, a four-banger, one panel gag one-shot or what?

Here is ddgryphon's character Scarlet Sting.
    No theme.

Bio: Ko Kawa was born to a professional executioner for the yakuza. Her mother died in childbirth leaving her father to see to her education and upbringing. He doted on his daughter, but trained her in the arts of war and assassination, never revealing his true occupation. She only knew her father as a good, kind and loving man. When he was finally assassinated, she vowed revenge and put her years of training to use. She discovered her father's true nature, but instead of following his path, she struck out to fight crime.

    Original Scarlet Sting 1
    Scarlet Sting 2

And here's my take. I went with a more superhero-ish look and kept the same color scheme, but made red the primary color.

    New Scarlet Sting 1
    Scarlet 2

And this is a more realistic look that I was experimenting around with in keeping more with her original costume.

    Alternate

Those are both great looks. I love the use the lab coat in the alternate. Hardware is all good and as soon as I can I'm loading the OS (Vista, unfortunately) at my earliest opportunity.

OH OH OH!!! I like the new piece ALOT!!

Yes! If I could just buy a machine I would, but the number of silly little problems I'm running into are really annoying me.

Looks great. I salivate with anticipation--but not around my machine, that would just make things worse.
  17. Sorry, still rebuilding my system--keep hitting driver snags. Soon. I promise.
  18. I snow it's your birthday. Have a happy one.
  19. Oh, yeah, well it's my unbirthday today--and tomorrow, too. And the day after that and the day after that. . .

Don't let that distract you from a happy birthday!
  20. Sniff, sniff. I feel so proud. Gratz man on making 50 with such a great concept
