  1. Tonight we ran a full 8 person Moonfire TF.
    It was a speed run with a few deaths but was still a fun time.
    My game crashed at the end and by the time I logged in the final mish was done so I missed the Merits/Badge
    But I petitioned so lets hope the GM's are feeling nice

    If anyone wants to do anything in particular for next week please post it here.

  5. Ive goe a Dark/SR Brute and a Dark/Dark Defender in the pipeline already so wanted something non-Dark.

    Ive tried a Rad/Rad Corr before but only got to level 5 before I needed the slot for my first VEAT.

    Are you expecting a min level or can we bring anything? Ive got a Fire/Rad corruptor in the works but is only lvl8 now - will be higher by Wednesday

  7. The pure DAM im outputting already is awesome and I dont miss the lack of mitigation as the mobs dying is mitigation enough

    Im not using many of the /Rad powers apart from the heal unless I fight a boss when I then dump Radiation Infection on it

    I am yet to team with her but I am having fun so will keep her and select the powers that I think Ill need based on experience - ie learn the old fashioned way

  8. Hi all,
    I am fairly inexperienced with ranged toons like Blasters and Corruptors but wanted to give something new a go.

    I have never done a Fire offensive toon (did a db/fire scrapper AGES ago) before and /Rad seems good.

    Im at level 8 now and while it is good so far Im having trouble trying to plan our a leveling build (10/20/30/40/50).

    Can anyone tell me if these sets are a good match or if I should re-roll and start again.

  10. I dont think I asked the right question (or if I did i dont get your answer ).

    As im over the 45% softcap anyway, will having an additional 2.8% Def help in any meaningful way?

    If I do take Taunt is it better to drop the RES IO from Deflection and slot a 5th LotG +Recharge or the Kismet +Acc. The RES IO only grants me an additional 3.3% S/L Res (15% [base] + 22% [IO] = 18.3%).

    Or Leave the RES IO in Deflection, take 1 slot from Boxing (losing +8% Regen) and slot either Deflection with a 6th for the Kismet or LotG?

    thanks for everyones input.

    I am still unsure about taking CJ over Taunt.
    CJ will give me an additional ~2.8% Def to all 3 positions and take me to over 50% for all 3.
    or
    taking Taunt to hold AV/EB aggro and pull mobs of squishies.

    How much better off will I be having 52.2% Melee Def over 49.4% Def?

    If I take CJ I am considering swapping out the Kismet Def/End for my 5th LotG +Recharge (Rule of 5) and losing the +1.5% Recovery.

  12. Last Mondays 1st Hero Respec was a good run.
    While there was the occational death it wasnt too much of a hassle.

    There were even some PINGS (w00ts, YATTA's, etc) so congrats to all.


    I am researching a GM Hunt to see if any of the GM's can be spawned. I will advertise next Mondays event over the next few days.

    Im running a 1st Respec tonight and maybe a 2nd as well if we have the time as people have been asking for respecs lately.

    I was thinking of trying to get some GM Hunts done in the next few weeks to give the people something different as I havent seen a GM Hunt in ages.

    Otherwise we can start the TFC series starting with Posi 1 & 2 but I will confirm what is being officially organised each week.

    Yes I noticed the mistake with Active Defence and changed it to Recharge Reduction.

    For me personally I want over 3000 HP. Its just a W00T thing
    This means I need the Stead Prot: +KB IO for the additional +1.5% Max health and the 3x Regen Tissues +1.5% Max health.

    Also 3 of my attacks are only around 65% Accuracy so missing out on +9% from the 4th LotG slot in Weave is not something I want to do.

    And I think Mids is broken. My Weave costs 0.2/s End but Fury's costs 0.23/s also my Tough costs 0.2/s vs Fury's 0.22/s yet both builds has End Use at 1.04/sec? or am I reading this wrong?


    Fury what you have done is awesome and exactly what I wanted. You looked at mine and made some suggestions and presented me with the differences. As much as having all 3 Defences at 50%+ simply for the HELL YEAH factor I agree that Taunt is more beneficial. I did my first "Main Tank" ITF last night on a Dark/SR Brute who had Taunt (I have done the ITF plenty of times before but never as main tank). Without Taunt it would have been difficult to ensure he focused on me as when I forgot to use taunt often enough he would start walking away to a squishy ).

  15. Last night a XP ITF was run lead by Sheeana at +1 I believe.
    Snoofles lost connection (we think) during the 2nd/3rd mission and didnt come back She was missed by all.

    Blpup and Lili also has issues and dropped out but came back.

    We had a fair few deaths as a lot of the team was not running level 50's or with IO Sets (myself included).
    It was also the first time Ive been the main Tank (well Brute ) on a team and trying to hold agro on Romulus. After a bad start with almost a team wipe we regathered and managed to kick his Purple Shielded (_x_).

    Lag was also an issue for some of the team.

    It was great to do an XP run. My level 43.2 Brute got to level 44.9 so almost 2 high levels. I didnt get any Purples but I did get some good recipes (forget what they were now). And of course the badge (first time for this toon), Roman Armour costumes and 26 Merits.

    Overall I think the time was 2 hrs 48 mins.

    It was a really fun time even with the deaths. Having to use teamwork and tactics beyond "Pull to roof - smash keyboard".
  16. /Axe and /WM are very similar. Here is a SD/Axe build that I am proposing with no Purps or PvP sets.
    It reaches ~5% over Softcap with 0 team mates in range of Phalanx and ~15% above S/C with 3 team mates in range.
    It also reaches over 3000 HP.
    Has no Travel Power apart from Ninja Run and Combat Jumping (mutually exclusive).
    Endurance is not an issue with 1.1/s used and 3.93/s recovery.

  17. Hi all,
    here is my proposed build for my Shield/Axe tanker. I am focusing on DEF first and this build gives 49.4%/47.2%/48.2% (Melee/Ranged/AoE), then +HP and this build gives a total of 3014.966 HP.

    I have an alternative build that includes Combat Jumping with Kismet +Acc and Kismet Def/End that makes all 3 Positinal Defences 52.2%/50%/51% but reduces the REGEN from 292% to 284% (taking 1 slot from Boxing [Pounding Slugfest]).

    My question is should I take Taunt or Combat Jumping?

    Ive survived so far without Taunt and while Im over the softcap with Taunt having all 3 at 50% or higher is just.... well cool

    What do you all think? Can I futher improve or have I made any major mistakes (note I prefer level 40 IO's rather than level 50).
    Also I dont plan on getting Purples for this toon any time soon nor PvP Sets.

    It is 30% at level 20 but is less at lower levels (I think it starts at 6% at level1).

    The next 2 weeks TF will be running at the mid-high end of level requirements (25-30 and 30-35).

    After that ill prob run some Hero respecs (1, 2 and 3) which are quite easy compared to the redside Treespecs (in my opinion anyway) which are level 24+, 34+ and 44+ respectively.

    Also I recommend you bring your new DOM to Plants FNV (Friday Night Villainy). He runs some great missions and is a great amount of fun.
    Also read Lili's DOMS guide http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=124382. It is a little outdated (i12) and doesnt take into consideration the i15 changes. The new forums have broken the formatting but it is still a great read and I recommend ALL people interested in DOMS to have a read.
