    yes your absence has been noted and rumours flying about what has happened to you (not really :P).

    Bummer about your pc my motherboard finally died on the final weekend of my holidays so am using my laptop until I decide to buy a replacement motherboard or do an upgrade to Sandy Bridge (new mobo, cpu, ram).

    its been a while since my last update.
    This was due to 2 main reasons
    1) Holidays
    2) Lack of apparent use of this thread (to be bluntly honest I was getting tired of updating this post with weekly ideas to have ppl in channel asking every Monday "So what are we doing?", or even worse at 9:15pm "Why didnt anyone tell me a xTF was being run at 8:30pm!!!").

    So now that its a new year lets start of easy.
    PuG.
    I know some ppl want "Special Events" each Monday but its not always easy to run a TF. Not everyone can be on by 8:30pm, not everyone has a character in that level range, not everyone WANTS to run a character in that level range (yes while toons ABOVE that level can participate some want to just focus on a lower toon which Pug's allow).

    So I will aim at runing a level 30ish PuG doing papers and Banks.
    As always this is open to the demands of the public - if enough ppl want to do a TF we can.

  6. Thanks to Neeenja and Leighloo for teaming and working on this Accolade.
    We didnt get it all done (I still need ~30 Freakshow Tanks) and the 3 of us didnt finish the Fake Nemesis.
    With only 3 toons it was taking too long to do all the defeats but a dent was made

    To be honest I thought more ppl would be interested in this type of content.

    Next week... PuG time I think. Also depends on how many ppl are online.

    Invuln advise

    Ive got a thread for the exact same sets here.

    Note that it is an expensive build and I am including 2 Purple sets (only as I actually have some of those IO's already).

    As Smersh said Alignment Merits makes MOST builds realitic without needing billions of INF.

    5 Tip missions per day. 2nd Day do the Alignment Missions after the 2nd set of 5. 1 AMerit. So thats 2 AMerits in 4 days. Those Healing procs (Numina, Miracle, Regen Tissue) each cost 2 AMerits for the recipe.

    For speedy runs set ur missions to -1/x0 and Tank Stealth (run past relying on Def/Res) to get to the end goal.
  8. Yeah I changed the RA End to RA Res/End/Rec but didnt export the new build details from Mids.

    Changed Zinger to MockingB.

    I like being at the HP cap and having over 300% Regen (303%) which Devastation allows me to do.
    The Thunderstikes would raise my E/NE from 41% - 43.5%.

    From what I remember reading on the forums there is little pure E/NE damage in the game or am I getting that mixed up with F/C?
    IF im correct getting the E/NE increase from the Thunderstrikes will only help for a very small portion compared to the +Regen/+MaxHP from Devastation which will help me in 100% of the game.

    Im only level 12 so I still have quite a ways to go until I needs to make a final decision.

    Thanks to all again for your advice and explanations - its easy to take someone elses build and just do it but if you dont understand WHY option B is better than option A you will never learn

    this is my first attempt with Inv and wanted to make sure im not missing anything important or over slotting something.

    I know EM is ST focused thats why I took TAUNT at level 10

    It does contain 2 Purple sets (Hecatomb and Absolote Amazement ) which I already have 2 of each in storage.
    Dull Pain is 13 secs off Perma.

    As much fun as the Incarnate system is this coming Monday im proposing we do something different due to:

    1) Ppl without GR
    2) Ppl bored with or needing a break from OMFGSHARD runs

    So with that in mind lets see if we can grab the
    Freedom Phalanx accolade which grants +10% Max Health (happy camping for all).

    A lot of it will be running around getting Exploration Bagdes with some Defeat 100 of nnn.
    For those nnn we will go to:

    Fake Nemesis = PI
    Clockwork Gears (Prince Spawns) = Boomtown

    Of course during the Badge Searches if we find any of the above take them out (FAST, HARD AND NAOW!!!)

    I wont be bringing my SD/Axe Tank who already has this so I'll need someone fairly high up in the level Structure to run it for the Fake Nemesis.

    For the badge runs we will be moving AS A TEAM. Everyone gets to the badge marker THEN we move on to the next. If people want to be "forward scouts" to locate the next marker thats fine but WAIT for the rest of the team to get the badge.

  16. Tonight we ran a LGTF which was... different.
    We tried a speed run but due to some team members being a bit too squishy or too impatient it ended up being a full run.

    The Hami was also interesting as we tried an approach suggested by two of the team that I had never done before - leave the Pylons until after the mini-hamis are gone, do the pylons and then the big hami.
    Didnt work out too well but in the end we prevailed

    A few purples dropped on the tem (3-4 in total I think)?

    Reminder to all that this Wednesday will be the SINISTER i19 Task Force so make sure your 50's are slotted with your Alpha enhancements.

  18. This was the 2nd time I was lead Tank on the STF and a change in tactic resluted in ZERO deaths for me as I kept Lord Recluse busy while the rest applied a DoS on the 4 towers.

    Instead of running around in circles Taunting him which last time resulted in me getting 2 shotted even with 75%+ Def and 3000+HP (SD/ Tank) I instead hovered (Jet Pack) above him and in the middle of where he appears so he couldnt jump to get me or jump off the towers/pillars and just spammed Taunt.

    His occational Ranged attack got me which wasnt a problem except for the -End it applies (something like -3.5/sec) which was a REAL pain as I normally dont carry a lot of Blues.

    Still it was a much better run (for me) compared to last time and Ill be using that tactic from now on

  19. At the beginning levels its a good idea to slot EndRed rather than Dam in Brutes attacks and let Fury do the damage.

    Later on in life sets such as Touch of Death and Mako's Bite will increase your Melee and Ranged Def by 3.75% respectively with 6 slots.
    Scirocco's/Eradication (PBAOE) provides 3.75%/3.13% AoE Def at 6 slots (I THINK those are the values?) plus some other good set bonuses (LOVE the Erad's +2.25% Max HP at 4 slots).
    Obliteration gives +3.75% Melee Def at 6 slots but can be difficult to find on the Markets and is quite expensive.

    Put a full set (6) of Gaussian's in Build-Up for another 2.5% Def (all Pos).

    Combat Jumping will also help while leveling and you may be able to respec out of it when you get higher levels and more IO set bonuses if you want to. Even if you have reached the s/c for all positions CJ can be used as a mule to hold a LotG +Rech, Kismet +Acc, etc.

    And of course Weave .

    Like Minotaur said SO's will make a HUGE difference when you get them.

    With Alignment Merits obtainable solo from level 20 you can start building up your collection now to get the sets as needed.
    Depending on how often you play this toon you can realistically get 2 AMerits a week (you can get more if you play more of course).
    The Healing Uniques (Numina, Miracle, Regen Tissue) all cost 2 AMerits so thats a weeks worth of Tip Missions per Unique.

    The Steadfast Res/+3% Def that Minotaur mentioned can be slotted at any time (the Res component is low anyway).
    The Eradication sets caps at level 30 so once you get to level 27 - slot up.

    Once I have SO's I normally slot 1x EndRed & 3x Def in my main Def Toggles (Deflection + Battle Agility).

  20. Monday the Alpha Slot unlock was run with at first 7 ppl which died down to 4 due to connection issues and... miscommunication.

    After we joined the X8 First Hero Respec and foubnf out that the Dev's have increased the Merit reward from 24-28. Nice little suprise after almost falling asleep (man they need to fix the last part).

    Next week we'll see about a Statesman, Lady Grey or ITF.
  21. My level 21 KM/SD scrapper uses 1 handed attacks with the Shield deployed and im fairly sure with 2 hands when no Shield powers are active (not 100% sure about that though).

    Of course as im only level 21 I dont have all the KM attacks but I doubt any of them would use 2 hands with the Shield in use which is simialr to the way the SS Hurl ranged attack appears.

    tonight im planning on running the Alpha Slot unlock mission for any and all level 50's.
    NOTE: you CAN bring a non-50 on the team for XP, Inf, drops, etc. You will not unlock the Alpha slot or earn an Incarnat Shard.

    After that (it doesnt take THAT long) we can run an ITF (again 50's NOT required). This will be a speed run and we can allow Villains to help (grudgingly).
  24. OK did some thinking during my lunch break and with Alignment Merits I can get the PvP GladArmor Unique (+3% Def).

    If I take a slot from Whirling Axe (-Scirocco Dam/End) and move that to Battle Agility I can slot the GladArmor and my Defence values jump to:
    Melee: 52.3%
    Ranged: 51.7%
    AoE: 51.1%
    Psi: 15.7%

    This helps with mobs with +ToHit and only slighly gimps Whirling Axe
    Original Version (6-slots):
    Acc: 177.43% (+73.31%)
    Dam: 97.86 (+93.46%)
    End: 8.194 (-58.65%)
    Rech: 6.278 (-75.51)

    New Version (5-slots):
    Acc: 177.43 (+73.31%)
    Dam: 88.89 (+73.31%)
    End: 9.664 (-34.53%)
    Rech: 6.278 (-75.51%)

    I much prefer to use Pendulum for AoE where possible (and Shield Charge of course) over Whirling Axe.
