i really like this idea. since architect got moved to i14 this is the thing i'm most excited about and to hear the details it sounds great. i've loads of alts i rarely play, so it'll be nice to get them logged out and getting badges and stuff. some of the accolades are pretty useful too.
  2. i sometimes get ideas when i see jubilee
  3. I don't know what Gear-only is, but no. I was just thinking for story reasons.
  4. with all maps supposedly available, i've a few thoughts on how to use the outdoor instances
  5. hmm. parts 1,2 and 4, but no 3. still sounding good
  6. it might be interesting. if those alts were well defined and well written characters in their own right.

edit:wooohooo! 5th time lucky it actually posted!

suppose I'll take this opportunity to say that I think the PCC should be accessed through Vanguard. Makes sense that they'd like heroes to train up, and it'd get lower levels used to going there, even if not able to get through the portals.

    Prices In Euro's

mine was euros the other night. not checked recently
  8. ok, but i don't think there's an entire issue devoted to it. there's a couple new powersets, new costumes, new missions and at least one thing not announced yet.

    GM to be i say

maybe have a St Patrick type hero bust in and try to clear all the Snakes out? you see them all running around like crazy and have to help stop this guy cause he's causing trouble for the Arachnos troops who're getting overrun by Snakes?
  10. the superhero quiz tonight was fun! (might have been beacause I managed to snag myself a cool million inf over the course of it)
don't know anything that hasn't been mentioned...suppose bio writing contests, and after i13 there could be some kind of mission/arc creator contests, but since there's rewards for them anyway it might defeat the purpose.
  11. promising info there. a couple of big plus points compared to the appearance that it might be a paper-mish-generator.

creating the look of your own mobs is great. selecting particular powers for them isn't a huge deal to me right now, but the appearance of them certainly is.

    and 1000 maps? I can't even think of 100.
  12. A "take one for the team"/"I'm feeling lucky" button for accessing a random, unrated mission would be good, as would a brief summary of the mission/arc on the search screen.
  13. they should have a bo selecta as well as a random one.
  14. I don't know I'd worry too much about EU-made missions getting preferential treatment over US-made ones.
Assuming they're all available everywhere, a Dev seeing a good mission made by someone they don't know might well just get them to be more interested. As for them not reading our forums, that could work in our favour.
If Positron (for example) had been reading the US forums and saw all about a few missions being made, but then logged in and found some that he'd never heard about that might make him like them more, due to a relative unfamiliarity to them. Like finding a really awesome movie on DVD that you'd not seen advertised at the cinema and on TV.

For searching for missions I'd like it if they do something similar to the finding players for teams, with a bunch of different options to filter out certain enemy groups, lvl ranges, mission types, etc.
A "player who liked this mission also recommend..." box would also be good.
  15. I dunno, I'd rather do a mission someone else has written the text for than Defeat Archon Romano or Get the G-Cells yet a-bloody-gain.

Not a personal insult. examples of personal insult = "you are stupid" or "stop being an A S S".

The swords are stupid in that they simply wouldn't do the job they are supposed to. The Mona Lisa is beautiful, but it would make a stupid weapon.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I don't think you can really say that.

I mean, have you ever tried to use the Mona Lisa as a weapon? It might be awesome!

journalist would be a most wanted one here too.
maybe paperboy by logging out at the NPC in front of Atlas Plaza?
sculptor by being on one of the various statues
    usher at the cinema
technician or something at an electronics store

loads more obvious locations would be nice, even if it's just the front of a non-opening shop being slightly redesigned.
  18. more bows would be nice, especially since there's loads of swords, axes and hammers and even guns to unlock. but that isn't a QOL change.

Some kind of labels for the Midnight Club doors is a great idea.

sorry to burst your bubble, but it's been done
  20. "that's no moon"

yeah, I guess we'll be able to design some of the characters, pick a map from a list, and write the dialogue. not sure about anything more, but to be honest, that'll be good enough to have fun with at first.

ah, the secret 4th option, kill em all and let the multiverse sort them out.
  24. Ok, some kind of map editor would be great, with the option to mix and match assets from different tilesets and go up and down adding different levels as well as moving about horizontally and add in a bunch of unique stuff like death traps and the like, but since none of that is in the missions as they are I doubt we'll get it. Here's my list:

-a great UI thats easy to understand but also allows for lots of customisation.
-the option to design NPCs and villains for the mission through costume creator, with the option to include our own characters as NPCs.
-a bunch of different events available, timed events, position specific events, branching events dependent upon what the players do in the mission, etc
    -placeable mobs, patrols and ambushes
-custom speech, clues and mission briefings
    -branching story arc layouts
