    * In PvP zones the G.S. still can't attack your enemies but it CAN target them to hump their legs as long as they are standing still.

    * The perfect companion to your new Bob Barker tribute character.

    * New "seeing eye dog" costume pieces! Automatically goes into guide dog mode when it's master is using the Walk emote.

    * New idle emotes when simply standing around... growl at stranger, sniff crotch, mark territory...

    * Has a random chance per summoning of giving its master the "Timmy has fallen down a well" mission.

    * Will chase any character using Animal-Cat parts incessantly until they climb an available tree.

    * Random Boss bad guys will now randomly say the line "And I would have gotten away with it too.. if it hadn't been for those meddling heroes and their stupid dog!" upon being thwarted.

    * The dog is still incapable of attacking... its fleas however are cybernetic nanites capable of dealing Nuke-level damage over time and immobilization due to severe itching versus any enemy who targets an attack on their meal cart.

    * In-game advertising deals now allow you to get costume codes for your dog allowing it to look like Lassie, Benji, Bolt or Dyno-Mutt.

Then next week they can introduce the Bob Barker costume change power for 8000 points.

    Marketing

Why is it that every time someone starts a thread asking or questioning the lack of content in the market people aggressively defend paragon? It's been stated by paragon that they planned the f2p model for quite sometime, so it's safe to assume they had a roadmap of where they needed to go to maintain a position of Leadership in super hero mmo's. You people that are defending the offerings each week assume their self imposed "weekly offering" are only worked on in the prior week. If that is the case I would say that is incredibly shortsighted by a company that plans on creating long term revenue and market share by offering products that are only worked on for a week. Would it not be more realistic to think that they have these offerings worked out months ahead considering they were mulling over the option of f2p for over a year? If that is the case I think that the offerings are really weak. If they had months of planning and product developed why wait and deliver it week by week?

Plain and simple. Good product will sell and bad product will not. If they are planning on staying the leader I think they need better new products in the market instead of offering in game rares and purples which only serve to alienate people that are extremely loyal to the developers. I personally could care less if they offer things like this because my money is loyal to the company that brings me the best product. CoH competes with more than just the other 2 super hero mmo's and people have high expectations for games so I would hope that paragon steps up to the plate and starts delivering more unique options than what have been offered so far.

Maybe I wasn't clear. The account showed Inactive for 90+ Days as NO. So based on that I thought I needed to buy the architect edition. I inputted the serial after checking the account (it showed it was not inactive for 90 days). I realize that putting in a serial activates the account.

I called in ...it has to be active. I was going to do the friend reinvite but his account said not inactive for 90 days. Apparently the system is not accurate at that calculation because after I bought him an architect serial it showed toons hadn't been played in 97 days. It's a small thing but it really should be accurate. It's enough to make me not want to recommend his mom buy the 6+1 month deal that is going on.
  5. Hi All,

Wanted to get my nephew an early XMas present and buy him a few boosters. Is it possible to purchase boosters for an inactive account? On his account it keeps saying

"No eligible accounts for this item could be found on your NCsoft Master Account."

Does the account have to be active before a booster pack can be purchased?

    Thanks,
  6. Is there a limit of server transfers per day?

edit: nvm it appears to be 6 a day but apparently will be increasing shortly

    Camera question

okay. Thanks for your info because it was driving me crazy. I thought it might be settings and I couldn't change anything that made a difference. Now I feel a bit better understanding other people went thru the same thing and it's not an option to change..

    have a nice day

    Camera question

    Hello All,

During game play I usually have the camera zoomed out quite a bit so I can keep an eye on my surroundings. The problem is that when I put my back to wall, object, building, etc... the camera zooms into a 3rd person perspective (only when I view in front of me with the object to my back) and it becomes difficult to keep an eye on my surroundings. Am I missing something fundamental here? Do all games play this way or is there a setting I can choose somewhere to keep the camera the same distance from my toon at all times?

    All feedback appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Mike

I can post pictures if that is helpful
  9. Hello All,

The build up has a chance to proc only when the power it is slotted in is used.

    very heapful

They can also be unique, but that is a separate attribute from the other characteristics. So the fact that the two IOs you mentioned are ToHit Buff and Ranged types and procs has no bearing on whether they are unique or not, though as it turns out, both *are* unique in this case.

No, the charactertistics of a proc have no direct relation to where they can be slotted. Unbreakable Constraint is a Hold set, so you can slot it in any power that has that attribute. (Check the power description, it will say what sets can be slotted in it.)

Could I slot another Decimation BU into another ranged power or does the cross the threshold of unique. Or does that Decimation BU proc have a "chance to fire" whenever any ranged attacks are used?

    All very helpful info.

    Thanks.

Procs that do damage, do damage. No they do not have to be slotted in the type of damage that they do. The chance for smashing damage tag just lets you know what type of damage will be done.

    Thanks for the quick reply.
  13. Hello,

I'm sure it's a simple answer but I can't seem to find it anywhere that states it clearly.

    Question #1:
I have Decimation: Chance for Build Up (currently unslotted)
I have Gaussians Synchronized Fire Control: Chance for Build Up (currently slotted under AIM)

I take from reading the forums that the Unique means no more than 1 can be slotted. However, these are called something different and slotted under different categories. Or are they the same thing and only 1 thing can be slotted or they both can be be slotted and have 2 different effects?

    Question #2:

Do Procs that create certain effects (ie Unbreakable Constraint: Chance for Smashing Damage) have to be slotted under powers that have those effects, in this case something with smashing damage? Or is the proc just an enhancement for extra type of damage or effect?

Any advice or info is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
