It's nice as a travel power at the lowest levels, but Superspeed is so much better it makes no sense not to take it...

My character Dr. Moon is a Martial Arts/Regen character. I find it very good and perfect for soloing a bit!

sorry, I was having problems, couldn't see my posts...

Forgetting all that copyright nonsense (hey, this is a different setting and all) if your hero had his, her, it or their own themes what would it be?
For Red Commissar, The Soviet Union's Anthem would be the only logically choice, Either vocal or techno.

Nice topic!
The perfect Theme Song for Blue Rush - Kinetic Defender - it's Speed King from Deep Purple. Of course something from Rush(canadian band, I think most of you know them don't you?
) could also be good, but Speed King is perfect
For Miss Treat, well, it's obviously Mistreated. Rainbow version, of course!
Dr. Moon... Mmh... I don't know, I have to think about it. But his song has to be pretty dark and heavy.
Longbow Sentinel is Irish, so anything from Thin Lizzy would be perfect! -

I have a level 6 archer blaster with gadgets as a secondary and I find it very fun to play, I'll try to bring it up to a higher level step by step

I'm having a lot of fun with my Kinetics/Sonic Defender, a bit weak for soloing but very powerful in a group. I'd suggest you to give it a try

I have found the Sonic Blasts to be very effective. I think each blast gives the enemy hit a 15% resist debuff, so for example a boss being hit by shriek, scream then shout will have a significant debuff on them (and its even more useful to when teaming to enhance a scrapper/blasters damage output).
You also have a useful aoe sleep for if you plan to solo and a single target disorientate (which both give the enemy a resist debuff aswell).
Amplify is one of those powers thats great to take for a power you definately don't want to miss (ie using it before a Fulcrum etc).
Oh and Fulcrum then your Sonic Nuke = Heaven. Pop a blue after that and anything not dead has a resist debuff and is disorientated (so is easy pickings).

Thanks, good to know that I didn't make a mistake
Actually my impressions were related to the fact that until now I'v always been doing few damages with the basic attacks, but the effect you have been telling me about with the higher level sound powers sounds very good to me, now I'll just have to level up as fast as possibile to get there -
Honestly guys: do yo think sonic powers suck?
I'll make myself clear. My first character, and still favourite one, is Blue Rush, a Kinetic/Sonic Defender, at the moment at level 22.
Just for fun I created Kid Rush, that is also Kinetic but with Lighting as second power pool. From what I can see, lightning powers seem to be most effective at the lowest levels, and more useful (for example they can steal end while they strike, reducing their usage cost a lot).
So, did I made a mistake in purchasing sonic or in the long term it's gonna be a good choice anyway? In 23 levels I only took Shout, Scream and a third attack (that I don't remember the name of at the moment, not howl but the other one) from the Sonic pool and sometimes it's frustrating to deliver so few damages (though I know damage dealing is not tailor-made for defenders, of course)...
Do you think the other powers comin' up in the sonic pool later, say from amplify on, are gonna be useful? Or should I open the fighting pool or something (at the moment I have as addictional power pools, Super Speed and Medicine) to make up for a bad starting choice??
Or, is there any way to make the sonic side effect (weakening foe's damage res) more effective?
Please give me just your sincere opinion, thanks! -
My highest level character is a Defender, and I always love to team up with good tankers. Fact is, I cannot heal and fight at the same time, since I have kinetics, so my capacity to heal is linked to the tanker having the most of the enemies to attack him instead of me... So I can heal him continuously while he kicks enemies' [censored]
A good tanker and a good defender make a great team, imho, and should always try to work together
