there's also been some changes to the general look of the logon screen. most noticable is the more/less rounded edges of the boxes that show username, password, server, blah blah blah...and, i think, button placement.

i have a question regarding wireless networking that is not related to CoH in any way.

i'm moving into a new apartment that has wireless. i do not have physical access to the wireless router. so, how do i connect to the network with items (such as DvD players and TVs that i can use to stream Netflix on) that require an actual line? accesss pointzs are an idea, but ussualy they require a direct line to the router too. using my pc (wifi capable) as an access point is also an idea, but not ideal.

i do this, and i should know how...but i've ben so stressed lately that i'm just confusing myself with even the most basic things. assuming i could probably just rig up something...but my brain is all fuzzy and can't think how to get it done. :-(

i can get any hardware needed (within reason), i just can't seem to plot out what i need or a strategy. :-P

any help or atempts to knock my head straight would be greatly appreciated. :-)

hasn't the updater gone through multiple backend iterations already? i'm not sure this will be much different...unless i missed something about a different 'looking' updater with different front-end functionality...which is entirely possible, i've been away for a bit. :-)

you could always put up a CPU-z validation, so we can see CPU stepping and VIDs, batces and revisions, voltages and memories...you know, the *good* stuff! =)

i'm not sure we're waving around prices, as much as we're all broke as all heck. and roughly 750 bucks (mem, cpu, mobo and the odd cooling supplies), for what amounts to a game for Mid, is hard to justify these days. =P

The Driver version messege doesn't matter, it's a bug.

Starting CoH in safe mode and changing your ingame resolution to match your desktop resolution and turning OFF bloom SHOULD (if I'm remember what they said earlier correctly....might do a search on your own with some of the keywords I'm mentioning here) fix the split screen issue and the 'black and white' issue....respectively.
