RENT:
I am in one of the top ranked SGs on my server, and we have a huge base. This will drastically reduce our costs. Not sure what we'll do now with all the tons of prestige we earn, though. Some of my alts are in smaller, less active supergroups. They each have a base with the smallest plot size and the basics they need, all for no rent. Under the new system, they will regularly fall behind on rent if they want to keep their storage. I'm not sure how this is an improvement.
SALVAGE:
I've never been a fan of salvage & crafting anyway. I don't mind at all having to pay for improvements or having to gain access to components by earning SG badges, even if that means my small alt SG won't be able to get all the goodies of a large & active SG. In fact, that's part of the challenge. The trouble & complexity of crafting and having to manage inventories of salvage just seems to detract from the heroic/villainous aspect of playing the game, and the fun of designing a cool base. Why not skip the crafting step all together, and just purchase these items at a higher price direct from the base editor? Any base salvage could be converted directly into prestige or inf at the NPC store rate.
That said, if you're going to use invention salvage to make base components, then why not make basic components out of uncommon (yellow) salvage, which has low demand on the current market, instead of rare (orange) salvage, which often sells for tens of millions? Surely the goal is not to put basic telepads out of reach for the casual SG, is it? The problem is magnified if you ever want to change your base layout, and have to delete the old component and craft a new one for the new room or floorplan. There are no refunds for what you spent on salvage. -
I'd love to see some screenshots of these.

Great guide!
I'm getting ready to respec my 50 DM/Regen scrapper to lean more towards PvP and to take advantage of IO sets. Has anyone made a DM/Regen guide that includes IO slotting? -
Arachnos Chaos Reserve
The ACR is the villainous counterpart to the Freedom Phalanx Reserve, and includes many of the same members. We're just getting re-invigorated, but we have a great website and a fully functional base, complete with teleports, storage, crafting, and medical facilities. We're not a serious PvP group or prestige farmers. Our focus is on having fun and helping each other out.
Any experience level welcome, but jerks need not apply. If you're interested, send an email or tell to @Mystery-Man, or visit our website: ACR web page -
I hate those green rings around your shins that come with some movement autopowers. Ruined several group photos.

According to the evidence from his backstory, it seems clear that he was railroaded. Of course, that could be just the defense's version of what happened...
Paragon City also has some different laws than we're used to. After all, registered superhumans are allowed (even encouraged) to pummel, burn, electrocute, irradiate, freeze shoot with automatic weapons, and drain the souls of people with suspected criminal affiliation for such crimes as purse-snatching, minor vandalism, or simply loitering in a public area.

Forgive me if this has been addresed before, but I can't find any command to target an NPC. This would be extremely helpful when I'm scanning an area for a contact or hostage. Does anyone here know how to do this?

Playing my /dev blaster on test, it seemed that the stealth component of cloaking device was less effective. Mobs seemed to see and attack me from farther out than before, even when I don't attack. I don't know if this is real or just my imagination. Anyone else notice this?
As for the changes mentioned, cloaking device was pretty much my only available defense, now that hasten doesn't have a +def component. (Actually, I have hover, too, but it's too slow and inconvenient to use most of the time). it already had one of the lower defense values compared to other defensive powers, and is already being reduced along with all other defenses. I really don't see the need to nerf it even more, though I can see how one could justify either nerfing or leaving it as is, based on "realism".
Mainly, though, I want to use it to avoid being seen and hopefully limit the aggro that my squishy blaster [censored] will take, and even to sneak past some bad guys when I have to. -
does anyone know of a list of power names to use with POWEXEC_? Some powers have spaces and the like in their name, so you can't just type in what the power is called by the game.

has anyone else noticed their map symbology messed up after exiting a mission? It appears as though the character arrows, mission sites, region dots, and contacts are zoomed in, while the underlying map is not. The result is that those symbols may not be visible, or are off the map and zoom around without reference to the base map image. I've reported this and another teammate said the same thing happened to her.
