    Naming minions

    [ QUOTE ]
Lol 2 inf to anyone who can spot where the names come from

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'm thinking 24...although it could possibly be Sledge Hammer!
  3. [ QUOTE ]
:S did not read whole post but going for a Iron Man build!? ... Prolly dark is best since it has a heal and some debuffs.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'm going the /Dark route, I would have done /Traps myself, but I already have a Mastermind with that secondary.
  4. I finally have Maximillian at 50, so count me in.

You're familiar with the head of Vecna

    [/ QUOTE ]

Was in a game where we forged an artifact similure to the eye of vecna so we could keep the real one but still sell it.. still makes me think of the "naughty bits of vecna"

the head of vecna howeer - i laughed.. so hard.. it really hurt. i love that story.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I still can't believe people fell for that
  6. [ QUOTE ]
Good point, and im still not free Monday evenings

    [/ QUOTE ]

Good thing there's a Wednesday session then, as I have the same problem

Also, what 'week' are we planning on starting, as Cognito's Thugs MM might not actually be available on Live for a couple of weeks yet.
  7. [ QUOTE ]
I tried about making a thugs blastermind. Personally I gave up when I realized she'd only have 3 attacks, one of which a cone.

Kudos to those of you sticking with it. You're braver than I am.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Brave/determined/stupid, it's all the same to me
  8. [ QUOTE ]
    - your most important criteria for a mate is that they're a gamer, too.

    - And then got married. (It didn't work for me. Your mileage may differ.)

    * When you finally settle down with a loved one and build a home, you insist on designing a Gaming Room into the house

    [/ QUOTE ]

    A man can but hope...

    [ QUOTE ]
    - When describing a game scenario with your pals, you get real excited, waving your arms, drawing a crowd. Phrases like, "Man, we %^&*$%^ wasted 'em! Took out the tank with an RPG, then L-T was rocking out on the '60..." everything goes fine, as the crowd draws near, wanting to hear more, until you say, "Then I took a round, BLAM! 45 H.P." And the crowd leaves, saying, "Oh, it was ONLY A GAME."

    [/ QUOTE ]

This is a daily occurance for me.
  9. Wednesdays are fine for me, so put me down as the second Mastermind.
  10. I should really point out that Thursdays are bad due to the fact I'm in the same IC group as you too.
  11. I'd love to join as a Mastermind, however, Mondays I can't do as I'm out between 6.30-10.00pm, and Tuesdays, I do believe I'm at the same tabletop game as Aisla. Wed-Sun are fine though.
  12. A few select badges, once they have all been collected, give your character an 'Accolade' badge and a temporary power, or a boost to Health/Endurance.

There's many badge guides around, but I can't remember the links to them...
  13. [ QUOTE ]
I found the experience much fun. The characters where established and the banter was flying arround as food in a foodfight. I think it's well worth repeating again.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I surprisingly found it highly enjoyable playing a 'normal' person, who just happens to have some powers. For instance, making sure he looked both ways before crossing the roads, and refusing to leap down 40 foot when everybody else was doing it with ease.
  14. The SG has been set up, I was just in a rush yesterday evening, and forgot to bring on the SG-inviter character first, instead of Hawkshaw.

Rest assured, I'll have him there next week at about 6.45, so invites can be handed out without going into mission-ing time.
  15. Max used to kill. He only doesn't at the moment because he hasn't got the job where he can. To him, if a criminal warranted 'extreme measures', they got extreme measures.

To him, there wasn't a moral argument at all.
  16. [ QUOTE ]
(devices secondary for blasters great fun to play, but doesnt really do the whole team/huge damage thing)

    [/ QUOTE ]

Gotta disagree there, a surviving Blaster is one who's there to do more damage, plus, Cloaking Device + multiple Time/Trip-mines equals serious damage.
  17. I'll be there from 7. For me, Thursdays are fine dinner-wise, as my sister has to be out the door for 6.30, so dinner's been cooked and eaten before that.
  18. [ QUOTE ]
As usual it is founded that CoH RPers don't like change... as I have seen here, people don't like change, not speakin for all of ya of course...

    [/ QUOTE ]

Please, I'm intrigued. What examples can you give of this? What I've seen so far is that in the past, and present, ideas for change have been put forward. First time round, they've been tried, and failed.

Second/third time round, someone who may not have been here the first time round approaches the idea again. They're given advice about this, and how there's a good chance it won't work, and suddenly it's all taken as a personal attack?

I cannot think of one example in this section of the forum, or in nearly 1,000 pages worth of the Galaxy Girl thread, where a a change has been debated against merely because it has been a change.

It has been debated against because it has flaws, everything has flaws, remember that, and flaws can only be taken into account and possibly fixed if they're pointed out.

Even at Galaxy Girl itself, before you arrived, we've had major changes, the most notable being a large-scale RetCon on part of some of the long-standing members of the GG community, in order to ensure roleplaying became productive and enjoyable again.

So, I ask you again, where is the proof that CoH roleplayers are dead-set against change?

Because to you, despite the fact we operate a free-form RP session where anybody who's interested can come in, make plots, so long as they follow practically universal basic rules of RP, we're still against anything new and potentially productive happening at all.
  19. Once I finally actually get round to joining a Hamidon Raid, I'll be equipping LRM with my eventual Hami-O's too.
  20. Finn29 and myself are two 'surviving' members of the SG 'Liberty Squadron', which was based on IC roleplay as Golden/Silver-age comic heroes.

Perhaps with some pruning of discontinued members, the idea can go back on track?

    Naming minions

    [ QUOTE ]
Major Tom will be joining to the team soon

Not sure if I can name my Dark Servant when I get him though?

    [/ QUOTE ]

If you can, it has to be "The Goblin King"
  22. [ QUOTE ]
does a blastermind with pets still count as a blastermind?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes and no. Although I'm taking the pets, they will be set on Defense/Follow, and acting only as meat-shields, with me having no direct control over them at all. My only attacks will consist of my Pistols and any damage-dealing Dark powers.
  23. My Controller is Mind/FF, so is not much of a buffer at all, and won't be taking the Leadership pool either, in order to save on Endurance costs.

So we'll have to see what the two Defenders in Team A are, and then see about whether we need that extra damage/aggro management
  24. I think what Aisla is trying to get across, is that despite all the good intentions at the moment with the Coalition-stuff, there will always be the risk that you can *unintentionally* become more secluded than you intended, and possibly cut-off from others.
