Well, you could always go with the 'special' Dove From Aboves Vic and Bob had, like the Beast From The East, The Crow From Below and The Vest From The West

Force-Field isn't really very good for soloing with, as a number of the powers can only be used on team-mates.

The later powers with the large area-effect obviosuly effect you, but it's a long long wait until those high levels.

Don't worry, there wasn't any carebearing going on. We were just given a chance, and to be honest, the only reason we survived was through pure luck. We barely even dented the big-bad-guy.

(Although, as all party members survived, a deal I made with Zortel means I have to make my character gain 1 point in Religious Faith )

In a Deadlands tabletop game I play, our group encountered one of the main bad-guys in the entire setting. Normally, in the rulebooks, this character is unkillable. However, our GM decided this was unfair to the players, and instead, statted him with high dice-rolls etc.

So, we fought him, and only just survived. He got away, but at least our GM gave us the chance to fight him, rather than be tyrannical with the setting, and say "No, you can't do that, it breaks the meta-plot".

For me, that's how a GM is supposed to be like. Their players will always find a way to break the game, and it's up to *them* to adapt to this new scenario, not force a situation on the players, when in common-sense terms, they could avoid it.

I am, I admittedly left my Blastermind alone for a couple of months to focus on other alts, but I went back to him yesterday and went up a level in a rather short amount of time.

I've changed my build however, I've removed the pets altogether, and will be adding Combat Jumping, Superjump and an as-yet undecided other Pool Power to fill the gaps.

As for the Endurance costs, I find so long as you're soloing on Heroic, you have enough Endurance to last you 3 or so White/Yellow enemies, or a Lieutenant and accompanying minion.

I'm thinking, once I reach level 28, of using a Respec to take out Hasten + Superspeed, as I'll have a guaranteed travel power with Inertial Reduction, so the Superspeed is no longer needed.

Would the Stimulant -> Aid Self route be a sensible one to replace those two powers wth?

I'm on a Katana/Regen at the moment, one level away from Stamina at level 24, and at the moment with Quick Recovery, Endurance is only a problem on really prolonged fights, which is easily solved by popping a blue or two.

Stamina for me is going to be more of a Quality of Life power rather than an absolute essential, although it can also depend on what Ancillary Pool powers you pick. I've been advised that if you'll be using powers like Focused Accuracy, it'll be best to have Stamina for the drain it has.

For my Energy/Device Blaster, I've kept hold of Auto Turret for the fact that, although it's not a great damage-dealer, if the enemies are attacking it, they're not attacking you.

It's also handy in AV fights, as the constant rate of fire counter-acts their regeneration rate.

I have to stay at home all day,
I have to wash his cape,
when he gets home from saving the world,
he expects dinner on a plate.

He's always down the local pub,
it's obvious he's telling lies,
he can't even be bothered to cook the dinner,
with his super-laser eyes.

The kids don't mind, they think he's super,
they think he's really great,
he can fly them around the whole wide world,
in less than half a day.

If he spent the day at home,
it'd show him what I'm for,
having to look after the kids,
and do the household chores.

I'd ban him from using his powers,
he'd have to clean things with a brush,
it'd show him why I can't do everything,
in a superhuman rush.

But that day'll never come,
he'd fly away the moment I said "work",
I wish I'd never married him,
because in truth, Superman's a jerk.

I'll answer that one, with a sturdy "No". The Defense aspect from CJ isn't worth the slots, and you only really need one Jump enhancement or End Reduction to get the most out of it.
