Some folks just don't like turning on lots of toggles every now and again, preferring to leave them on all the time.

Nolan's Batman lacks the grace and poise vital and inherent to the character's very being.

Honestly, if we saw one of those today, it really wouldn't take long for someone to figure out who would have the means to acquire something like that and it goes without saying that it would be a very short list. I just have a hard time divorcing myself from the unlikelihood. It would probably be easier for me to suspend disbelief if he didn't go on record saying he wanted it to be a realistic portrayal.

Sorry for the nerd rage. I promised myself I wouldn't but, I swear, every time he does something off-the-mark and gets lauded for it I want to shake my fist at the sky and curse at the gods. Why can't the guys who did the Arkham Asylum video game have directed this movie? While it was less grounded in reality, it's certainly a more abject lesson in realism.
    'kay
  4. I've got a few buddies that'll be playing. They've always wanted to, but never did due to money.
  5. You can, but it won't be the same. No contacts, trainers, stuff like that will be gone. And it's just a sentimental thing. Really the only reason it's in Ouro is 'cause of badges.

    Well then

Sounds like it's not so much a matter of the game kicking you out as it is you're looking for a reason to leave, and the game just happened to conveniently give you one.

    Either way, later.

The storyline comes right out and says "You were in Galaxy when **** got real."

So I propose to totally ignore that part of it and, RP wise, let our guys be going back in there to help if that's what we want to do.
According to the setup comic you didn't get let in to help fight the Shivans. You found yourself as one of the heroes unfortunate enough to be in Galaxy during the Shivan strike, which forces you into the conflict. Immediately afterward, though, the Freedom Corps/Arachnos get you outta there and to safety. The only heroes there actually tackling the matter are the Freedom Phalanx/famous heroes, and one shot heroes working with the Freedom Corps.

I imagine we'll eventually get high level content dealing with us fighting the Shivans and tackling the invasion head on, but for now we're getting a small taste of what's to come while they revamp lower level stories.
  10. Sometimes those entrances bug out, and you gotta stand on the very border of it to get the box to pop up and stay up.

    Yeah, it should get fixed.
  11. Would be neat if the devs could just poof stuff up, I'll admit. Because then we could have such amazing characters are "Fourarm!"

So what you're saying is you want Dominatrix to provide her "services" to her granddaddy?

It's not actually new tech, and they aren't technically individual fingers. They're pretty much the exact same as the SoA hands, in that each finger still moves with the others. And we'll probably never get this kind of update to our characters 'cause it'd involve remaking every single glove we currently have available to accommodate it.

No. Especially considering Incarnate slots, crafting Inventions, changing costumes, etc. require quite a bit of influence, especially in the later levels. The market shouldn't become a required part of the game.

    To the OP, not bad.
  16. I agree with Jagged. A Rep or a Like/Dislike system would be better than the "so many stars out of whatever" system.

Not enough team content has nothing to do really with why folks avoid that place (and will be avoiding it more with I21 on it's way shortly).
Sort of. Folks typically just don't randomly team up that often to run a story, preferring to team for Tips/Newspapers/easy to run missions instead. At least from what I've seen. Doesn't help a lot of the stories have parts that require you to be solo, either. I guess really tough enemies and only going up to 20 also makes it so teams aren't seen as often. Just feels like Praetoria isn't friendly to groups.

I think the repeatable Newspaper-like missions helped encourage teaming, tough, but they should've been intro'd from the start. Too little too late.

Could someone elaborate what is wrong?
It's an opinions thing. Some folks liked it, others didn't. Everyone's got their reasons.

I, personally, loved it, too. And I loved GR, as well. I just wish there were more team content in it, 'cause I hardly ever see other folks in Praetoria.

    and what did I say?

Yep, I didn't say anything about Korean Developers. I said... let's see... "somebody from Korea" and "dictacted by NCSoft-Korea".

So you think the fact that NCSoft is a Korean company makes them mythical?

You think that NCSoft Korea which wholly owns Paragon Studios has absolutely no say what-so-ever in the running of Paragon Studios?

    \

Yes, Yes you do think that.

Okay, let me pose a question to you: How does being an independent entity change the radical changes of behavior of Paragon Studios staff?

Have Positron, Second Measure, War Witch, and Ghost Falcon ever struck you as the type of people to suddenly change development practices and priorities?

Have any of the Paragon Studios staff ever struck you as the type of people who would willingly force players to utilize a software package that is often associated with successful malicious intrusions?

Does the past history of Paragon Studios indicate that they would go out of their way to screw players over with prices?

Oh yeah, there's a whole frigging thread about the change of direction on Paragon Studios part, maybe you should read it: http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=268081

Let me quote something I already said there:

Let me be clear here Lemur Lad since I think what I said probably went over your head:

I am saying that the game and it's direction is now being controlled by NCSoft Korea.

It is my opinion that NCSoft Korea is directing the radical change in the behavior of Paragon Studio developers to change internal policies in order to create more content that could be considered sellable through the in-game market.

It is my opinion that at some point Paragon Studios went from an independent entity to one that is being controlled by NCSoft-Korea.

Can I prove that? No, I don't have microphones in NCSoft's Korean offices?

Can you prove that Paragon Studios is not being directed by NCSoft Korea to change the positioning of City of Heroes?

I think you'll have a bloody hard time proving that to everybody who looked at the beta price list and went What the bleeding hell?
    u mad?
  20. Just to clarify, the OP was asking specifically about the Pocket D and what the additions to it looked like before they existed.

To those that wanna see the PDP, though, there's an AE map that uses the same theme as it. Should be under Unique Warehouses, will be a Skulls related one. That'll pretty much be it.
  21. Still wouldn't mind seeing States and Tyrant going at it, with their forces backing them up, while Recluse and his soldiers are in the background, kinda looming over them. Good way to represent the war between Primal and Praetoria Earths while Arachnos, ever the bad guys, try to take advantage of it.
