Anyone else think this is a completely 'we don't care aboout any raid plans until I7 comes out' move?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I would say that the "we don't care about any raid plans until I7 comes out" move would be the one where base raids don't work any more since this patch. Did I mention that they're not getting fixed until I7 either?

Btw LNM is about to finish a reroll session of pvp toons, coming soon in our test arena, on monday !
Some you may guess and some will be more surprising, I hope.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Oh snap. The PDs are just coming up to 50 on their new PvP toons as well, so we'll probably appear one monday soon.

Prepare to feel the awesomeness that is sonic resonance.

Ice Slick and Tar Patch were laughable in PvP

    [/ QUOTE ]

If by "laughable" you mean "totally freakin' awesome", then yes. Ice Slick and Tar Patch are both -jump, which is crippling against anyone without Teleport. On top of this, Tar Patch is -speed and -fly on top of -jump so you basically kill movement from ANYONE without teleport with Tar Patch. On top of this, it's got a crazy huge -res element to it.

In PvP you have to know exactly what every power does, and what you can do to counter it. No tactic that ANYONE can throw at you is uncounterable, you just have to know which powers to use.

We all just rolled a bunch of corruptors over on Union to start playing once we get this set of heroes to 50 (in the 45+s now). Will send you a global tell once we move over

    [/ QUOTE ]

good to hearmore defianteers coming over, especially good ones

    [/ QUOTE ]

We have a few aims while we're over on Union:

    1) Kill Chives. Repeatedly.

    2) Beat AoW in a base raid.

    3) Stop people from laughing at Kinslayers idea, which is a great one.

I beleive you were beaten by the french? And though nightbringer did stipulate a server you did not and hence your statement is factually incorrect

    [/ QUOTE ]

We were beaten by the french, but we have also beaten them. It seems to depend on the number of players in the team, oddly.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Getting your excuses in already? There was more of them! They cheated! Haxxzors!

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Read my post again:

We have beaten them in a 6vs6. Union regularly beat them in 5vs5s, but in 8vs8 they're undefeated.

Excuses have nothing to do with it. We do not make excuses. We never need to.
  7. Never noticed it since I've never been in a situation in a raid where I'm not trying to frantically chain all my attacks as fast as possible.

However, if this is true it might be worth testing and making a list of all the powers that have this problem. That could potentially take hours though, unless we get lots of SGs and people in on it.

    Did you /bug it?

    Touch my Phear!

I always drop ToF and then switch target, pummel away until ToF is back up, drop it again, switch target and go all the way around the mob like this until they're all either feared or dead.

I think it'll increase briefly and then go back to about Sirens level, where the amount of guys in Sirens will decline.

Although, having said that, a lot of people seem more interested in PvP since the signature villains/heroes are going to be taking part.

Ill be there to give my hamidon enhancement out to a random guy just like last time, i dont like to have enhancements with strange green slime on it on my plasma shield.

Cool. You're battlecow, right? This time, do you think you could pay attention to Request a little more?
  13. Liquefy is, to be blunt, a terrible power. It has an AoE hold in it, but it's a ridiculously low mag and only hits even-level minions occasionally (and even when they are held, it lasts for about 2 seconds). The other effects have such low values that they may as well not be there, and you can't really enhance them any higher since the power needs 3 recharge and 1 or 2 accuracies to actually be even remotely viable. It reads like a nice power, but in reality it's pretty pants. I suppose one thing it does have going for it is that the AoE is pretty huge, much larger than Ice Slick so for a 45 second duration AoE knockdown power it's not that bad. The problem is, it's your final "big" power, and it's just so dissapointing.

Also, the noise it makes is really annoying.
  14. My sonic is nearing 50 now, and I pretty much gimped him 1-50 by taking silly powers like my nuke and Liquefy as I wanted to test everything in the sonic set. I figure that once I hit 50 I'll respec into something a bit more min/maxed for the PvP fighting win, hence the build below.

Yes, Clarity has 6 slots. The animation is 1.5 seconds long, and with 3 recharge I get a recharge of 2 seconds so I can stack it really really quick. 3 range so I can do it from bloody miles away.

Kept Scream and Shriek as I can do some mad -res stacking on granite tankers, since they can't be toggledropped the usual way. Sonic Siphon stays in as well, since it turned out to actually be pretty good. Also, it means I can steal kills and annoy Imaginary. If possible, I want to test the duration of the -res effects with someone in the arena, to see just how many I can stack.

Took hasten at 38 and superspeed at 49 as I really didn't have anything else to put there. If anyone has any suggestions as to what could replace them, I'd be happy to hear them but I couldn't see any.

Smashing/Lethal sets are going to hate me in the face. With Sonic Dispertion (the big bubble) and Mind Over Body running it would appear that I get some stupidly high resistance like 62.4%. Thats just plain silly.

Went hurdle/health/stamina for the fitness pool, but if you guys think it's better I can change that around. I went for that since health is ok-ish and I didn't really need sprint.

If you think the extra jump on Combat Jumping could be put to better use elsewhere, i'll move it since I'll probably mostly be running SJ to move faster. I might even move it over onto Mind Over Body since my end is pretty bad with all those toggles running.

Got the concealment pool, but didn't take invis since you can't buff whilst you're under it. I can still ghost missions in PvE with SS and stealth, so I'm not worried about that side of things. Stealth is more so that I can run away faster if I start to get attacked.

So, anyone have any suggestions? I don't know how many sonics there actually are in the EU, but if there are any I'd love to hear from you.

Oh yeah, if you want to mess with this build in hero builder then you can download the .hro file here.
  15. I'll see if I can make it, but I'm not sure if I'll be on
  16. Sure, I'll do it on my level 28 stalker Ataxia.
  17. [ QUOTE ]
You can. Just form the team before you go inside the match and sk the lowbie before as well.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The SK drops when you enter the match itself. You can't SK anyone in the arena, but nobody knows why.
  18. I didn't really notice the base items that much. We kinda destroyed them almost as an afterthought. They're a little bit annoying, but definitely not worth the prestige for the amount of help they provide. We don't have any in our base, and I doubt we ever will.

You spawn anywhere inside the base, at any doorway. We certainly didn't all spawn in the same place, since Daybringer and I both ran into what seemed like your entire team almost immediately. We were screaming at Extremus to TP us to the same place over Teamspeak the entire time.

We'll try and bring more guys next time too =D
  19. Happy birthday spad, you crazy ice man you.

I reiterate that we didnt use that bug with our base last night. I waited to post about it cause you wouldve seen the rest of the base map from that pic.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ah, I'd seen it already from browsing your forums last night. It didn't help though, you had stuff everywhere. Half the time it seemed to hinder as well as help you, though.

As for Lord Zane accusing us of spawncamping: The reclimator is by far the most important base item to destroy. The turning point in most base raids is the moment when you get their reclimators, as they're forced to ressurect outside the base after that and it takes a while to get from the hospital to the base.

    Ill/Emp Respec

Spectral Terror doesn't really need any slots. It's recharged before it dies, it has a stupidly high accuracy and the duration on its fear is perfect as it is. I'd just slap a feardur or a range in the one slot and put the rest of them on fortitude. I'd also change the slotting on Fort to 3 defence buff and then as many recharge as you can manage, since the tohit on fort is already high enough unslotted.

As for the RA thing, I'd say it's probably OK to ditch one or two of the endmods in recovery aura, but keep the heals in regeneration aura. In terms of total regeneration rate, with 3 heals in it it's only a teeny tiny bit less effective than IH. Fire off Powerboost beforehand and you've basically given your whole team double IH.

The Union PvPers would rather have pentad every week and no 8v8. How does everyone else feel about pentad every week? We find there is to much waiting around with 8v8.

    [/ QUOTE ]

We won't be able to make a pentad for a while. We don't have enough toons (or more specifically, enough tanks).

    [/ QUOTE ]

but u've only made 1 8man iirc so it really doesnt matter

We're levelling up toons for the 8 man, but we don't have any tanks. Also, many of us just can't make monday.
  25. After our complete and total success last Sunday, I figure we should do it again. We want to push for an even faster raid this time, and as such we have a couple of new things for this raid:

    1) We now have a second targetter, Frostblaze. He'll spend the entire Mito clearing standing on the edge of the bubble away from the lag targetting Honsou. Add him to your friends list to find him quickly and easily. Once you have him targetted, type /assist and you'll switch from targetting him to targeting Honsou automatically. Even better, bind "assist" to a key so you can do it faster. If you're a melee'er and you can't seem to find Honsous target, type /assist and then hit Follow and you'll end up standing next to the Mito that Honsou is targetting.

    2) Please please please listen to what I say on request. If I tell you not to attack something, it's for a good reason so don't do it. If I tell you to get out of the jelly, again, it's for a good reason so do it.

    3) Again we won't be using Scrappers or Tanks in the hold phase. If you are a scrapper or a tank, head up to cowards hill and make jokes over broadcast to keep the holders amused while they spam their powers. You could even try playing I-Spy, as Lodestar suggested, but I doubt that would get very far.

    4) Do not use any attacks on Hamidon apart from holds. We want to minimize lag, and the best way to do so is to slowly grind him down using non-flashy hold powers.

    5) Please ensure you have the request channel on a seperate tab, or even on a tab at all. There were several instances where I had to use local to tell people to stop attacking the wrong mitos, and I don't have time to run around doing that all raid. I have more important things to shout about

    6) If you don't get into a team at the start, broadcast for one. If you still don't end up in a team, send me a tell so I can spam request asking for you to be invited to a team.

    7) Make sure you hit Hamidon during the "hit hamidon" phase. For some reason, just being in a team with people who hit him isn't enough to earn you a Hami-O. Bear in mind that you only need to hit him once and once only, but check your combat log to make sure you actually hit him. What I'd rather not see is people unloading several attack chains into Hami. It's not needed, and it slows down the raid.

Phew! Meant that to be only 2 points, but it turned into 7!

Apart from all that, I hope to see you all outsideThe Hive in Eden on the 30th of April! Usual time, 7pm for 8pm start!

Edit: PLEASE read the raid guide which is found in this thread here. Again, it helps to speed up the raid.
