I would love to add to this arc, but am way out of space having already cut characters to add to it in the past. If it makes HoF, I smell sequel.

Since I've already played and reviewed Death to Disco, could I get a review of Rise of the Drakule from you?

I already played/rated Drakule, but will run it again for review purposes. How about you try out Trademark Infringement (2220)? It is only 1 mission after all.

Title: Jerk Hackers!
Arc ID: 162482
Creators Global Name: Heraclea
Mission Count: 3
Notes Don't let them go to the Americans!
[/ QUOTE ]
Lowdown You might think an arc based on an infamous forum post would not sustain three missions, but this one delivers. Humorous through out it gave me more than a few chuckles. There were many subtle references besides the straight up humor. All the custom characters are humorous to varying degrees. My one minor complaint is that the final boss was not up to stuff with the rest of the arc.
Funny Level Milk squirting out the nostrils.
Fun Level Funtastic!
Lets up it to 11! Maybe vary the captives (more groups if space allows), Average American = Young American (think Bowie), the final big bad could stand some punching up.
Overall Rating Definitely play this arc if you are looking for something light and funny. If you are not familiar with the This is how it start's jerk hacking (dupin) forum post it is a must read to get most of the humor in this arc.

Title: Go. Hunt. Kill Skuls
Arc ID: 158877
Creators Global Name: @Tahlana
Mission Count: 1
Notes Kill Skuls
[/ QUOTE ]
Lowdown The enemies are standard Skulls, but your allies are custom. The allies are well done and have amusing text and dialog (be sure to loose them at some point to get some of the funnest stuff). This is a low level arc 1-14 so the skull boss can be tough just like in normal content. The concept of using "Go. Hunt. Kill Skuls is a good one.
Funny Level Mildly amusing
Fun Level - It is fast (one mish) and it is always fun smashing Skuls.
Lets up it to 11! I would really like to see some custom humor based Skuls. Some patrols with dialog could eaily up the humor level. There is a shortage of worth playing low level missions, but this one should definitively be added to your play list 1-14.
Overall Rating A solid mission that is worth a play, but could use some more laughs.

Title:Chocolatier Wars!
Arc ID: 1153
Creators Global Name: @Electroanagesia
Mission Count: 3
Notes EB in final mission (help provided)
Lowdown Very well written detail oriented arc. The Chocolatiers in the first mission have funny bios and the animations chosen for them add to the humor. Many of the clues though out have humorous twists to them and though optional they are worth stopping to enjoy. I really liked the humor in the arc souvenir. I felt the humor in the arc started out strong, but weakened as the story progressed.
Funny Level Mildly amusing - Humorous
Fun Level - Average to Very depending on your love of chocolate.
Lets up it to 11! Some of the dialog could use a little punching up as could the descriptions of the standard Crey converted to the Chocolatier group.
Overall Rating Not super funny, but a very solid arc that should not be missed.

Title: Victors Online
Arc ID: 97980
Creators Global Name: @Hellguard
Mission Count: 4
Notes None
Lowdown - This was a very fun arc especially if you are familiar with the behind the scenes workings of MMORPGs and the people that make them. The Victors Online Staff are all great (personal favorite: QA Testers bio). The wandering crowds have some dialog worth a few chuckles. The missions humor level grows the further you get into the arc. The author made a really great choice for the big bad in the last mission and his bio/look are really funny.
Funny Level Humorous to Very Humorous
Fun Level - More fun than a barrel of monkeys
Lets up it to 11! Smaller maps, more humor in some Victors Online bios
Overall Rating Well worth playing. MMORPG fans will especially enjoy this arc.

I realized the other day that all of my arcs are humor based, ok I knew that, but what never really hit me before was that there is no reviewer that specializes in humor arcs. Enter Wrong Numbers Ha Ha Hut.
What to expect:
1) Your arc will be graded on its humor and fun level. This will be separate from the star rating which will take all factors into account and not be listed here.
2) When I rate an arc I generally never give less than stars 3 for anyone that makes a real effort even if they fall way short.
3) If you are looking for a long detailed blow by blow review of your arc you will be disappointed if you submit it here. My reviews will be short and sweet.
4) I am a forty something year old female with a diverse love of comedy. I enjoy just about any type of humor. However, if I feel something falls out of my humor tastes I reserve the right to ask a guest reviewer to fill in. (I have many to choose from)
What you need to do to get your arc in the Hut:
1) Play the one of my arcs below that most closely matches the length of the arc you are submitting.
1 Missions Trademark Infringement (2220)
2-3 Missions Death to Disco (84420)
4-5 Missions Have a Blap, Blap, Blappy Day Kids! (2019)
You may also do the two shorter ones in place of the Blappy arc if you prefer.
2) Send me feedback in game and then post your request in the format below. You do not need to write a review of my arc though if you feel so inclined feel free to comment under the thread for that arc.
Request Format
Title: (Arcs Name)
Arc ID: (Arc Number)
Creators Global Name: (Your Global ID)
Mission Count: (Total number of missions in the arc)
Notes (Anything special I should know about this arc)
Thats it. I will post a review of an arc I have already done to get us started.
WN -
Thanks a lot for the review of Have a Blap, Blap, Blappy Day Kids! Bubba. Glad you liked it.
You are supposed to be questioning Bright Angel's loyality so that is how is should be. The origin/dialog of one of the bosses in the last mish reveals all and should make any lingering questions in this area clear
Wrong Number is the leader of the Injustice Legion, the group who runs through out the arc. I will go back and make sure that is clearer. Also, she is the trigger that spawns the final arc AV.
As for the overall story, it really is suppose to leave you questioning who was right/wrong and good/evil with some strong suspicions pointing at one person in perticular.
Thanks again!

Bottom line, for me, is if the first mission had more zing it'd be a 5-star arc.
[/ QUOTE ]
I would love to add more to it, but my arc is at 99.something%. To fit all the customs and mayhem into the second mish I had to make the first one more straight forward. If they ever up the arc size limit I would definitely expand this arc.
WN -
So sorry I missed this!
WN -
Thanks for your review and happy you liked it. My respones to some of your points.
"1st mission a bit flat" - I can understand feeling it might be a little "flat' especially since the second mission is all out mayhem/jokes. I looked at the first mish as a set up really (which is why you don't see Dr. Disco Fever till the second one).
"some costume issues" - I'm not sure this you can really pin on me. I spent a lot of time trying to find stuff in the costume editor that looked era appropriate and there really was a small selection. I had the worse time finding men's outfits and hair styles.
"possible niche audience" - I don't know how much I agree with this. My kids range from 15-19 and they all know enough about the Disco/Rock rivalry to get enough of the jokes to "get" the arc. What I would agree with is if you are one of those people that have never heard a Disco record or have any idea about it's history, you won't get the arc. However as you stated it is pretty clear what this little arc is about so if you play it should should not be surprised at what you find.
Thanks again for the review.

From what I can glimmer from your short review (more of a plot summery) is that the arc was technically pretty prefect, had no logic flaws, was pretty well written, had decent and balanced customs[...]but was too short????
Basically. There isn't enough of a story here to have any serious problems.
I thought you might be bias against this arc because it featured time-travel and you have made it clear how much you hate that.
Again, it isn't elaborate enough, and since it's a comedy it gets some slack in any case. Which leads me to....
[/ QUOTE ]
I don't know how much story you expect from a two mission humor arc, but you don't just grade on story now do you? Here is what you said about other arcs you rated 3 star:
3 stars. Offenses: "just a bunch of stuff that happened", Timey Wimey Ball, no closure, muddled morality
3 stars. Offenses: badly disjointed level range, excessive ambush, bordeline Idiot Plot, no closure
3 stars. Offenses: plot issues, overpowered mobs
3 stars. Offenses: overpowered mob, Shaggy Dog ending
3 stars. Offenses: "just a bunch of stuff that happened", plot hole, gratuitous geography
3 stars. Offenses: overpowered mobs for a joke arc
My arc had none of those offenses
4 stars?
4 stars. Offenses: plot issues
4 stars. Offenses: weak theme, telegraphed trap
4 stars. Offenses: zero Clues, excessive AVs/EBs for the level range, problematic escort
4 stars. Offenses: weak themes, poor portrayal of canon character
Nope, none of those offenses either.
Sorry, I was just expecting something constructive if you were marking my arc down stars. When you reviewed my Blappy arc I took what you said to heart and significantly rewrote the arc's contact's dialog (you then even replayed it and upgraded it's rating accordingly).
What I feel it comes down to is you don't like short humor based arcs That fine, but you should state your bias up front and own it rather than cop out with "It ain't half bad/It ain't half good, neither" That just wastes both our time and I don't think it really serves the purpose you strive for with your reviews.

I am use to your reviews pointing out short comings of arcs, mistakes, logic flaws, areas of bad design etc. along with possible suggestions on how things might be improved.
From what I can glimmer from your short review (more of a plot summery) is that the arc was technically pretty prefect, had no logic flaws, was pretty well written, had decent and balanced customs (sorry, but comments like the boss was too hard/easy I take with a giant grain of salt till I get a few saying the same thing. Since you are of first to mention it in almost 300 plays, it is "awaiting more feedback") but was too short????
I thought you might be bias against this arc because it featured time-travel and you have made it clear how much you hate that. It is also clear you read your fellow reviewer's review of this arc and the criticism he took after it.
I guess all I can really say is I am glad you liked the arc and am pretty happy my writing was able to generate an emotional response ("It's ON"), but very disappointed in your review and confused by your rating since I have seen more criticism of arcs you rated 4 or 5 stars than what you wrote about Death to Disco!.

Ready for some more arcs! This week-ish type thing:
humorous arcs. Give me some good, funny arcs. Bizarre, satire, parody, what have you. Or, if you have any arc that's a good fit for one of my characters of interest this week.

Burnt Matchstick 40 fire/fire brute
Burnt Matchstick 12 fire/fire blaster
Wyndine 50 MA/SR scrapper
Tundra Spider 10 Wolf Spider

I have never seen that once and I've edited my live arcs between missions when I saw something really wrong that I wanted to fix so the next person wouldn't deal with it, and that includes tweaking customs. The changes still don't show up unless you restart the arc.

This happens when someone other than you tries to load a custom character you are editing. Basically it is all about bad timing. It has happened to me and I got an irate tell saying my arc crashed the person's computer.

I always used option simply for story reasons. If a mission in an arc had a goal like "Defeat Sideshow Sally" it would ruin the story if you ran into and defeated her ten times before you got to the "real" one.

One other thing to keep in mind. When you are editing characters in a published arc any other person playing your arc and trying to load a mission with those custom characters will crash to the desktop.

Uh, what? Anything you do isn't supposed to have any effect on people already playing your mission -- everything should be loaded for them already.

See above bold. Let me try to be more clear. It is true if someone starts a mission and then you start working on your customs it will have no effect. However, if they go to start the next mission in the arc and you have a character that is featured in that mission open it has not appeared in a previous mission in the arc, they will crash to the desktop.
