Yes! Because I want to be different, just like everyone else! Waitaminute..
-
That's because they all apparently decided to point to the same rotating image... even though I gave them two to choose from. >.<
I chose the second one, just to be different. -

Quote:We have one rule there that is strictly enforced: Nothing illegal. To be honest, the more I see the advertising on this forum for Paragon Unleashed, the less I want to go there.
...
The subtle implications that I am somehow deficient as a human being, or as a male human being, for not wanting to join, do not help.
We also have one guideline that's ALSO pretty damn strictly enforced (Except in the Rogue Isles): No direct insults or attacks on anyone on the Unleashed boards.
It actually makes for a very wacky place that is somehow at the same time quite sane and "not mean". Unlike here where people CAN insult or attack each other as long as they don't violate the OTHER forum rules.... there you can't do it at all.
It's kind of a weird difference that you have to see to understand. -
I'd love to "see more of" Countess Crey, if you know what I mean... hummina hummina hummina!!!!

Quote:My wife had a character named American Avenger. A female in a red, white, and blue themed costume. Electric/energy blaster. She got generic'd.
Upon researching the name, I found that back in the '40s there was a character named American Avenger (male, different color scheme, no powers even remotely the same) that appeared in *one* comic book. Marvel bought the rights to that character and even mentioned him in a more recent USAgent comic (mentioned, not used).
The *only* similarity between my wife's character and the Marvel-owned character was the name. Period. And it was an extremely obscure character anyway (hence why we had never heard of it). Appearance and powers were completely different and she had not included a bio yet.
Interesting...

Where did this whole "love" angle from from with Apex and War Witch? I never saw that in the comics... they always seemed more like Brother/Sister.
Unless I missed something? -
Of course I have a soul. It's a heart that I don't have.
-
Ugh. The OP is making my SOUL hurt. Please buddy, go read The Defender's Manifesto and then come back here.

Yes! All the time! I actually hold parties there for lowbies.
-
I've said it before, I'll say it again.
The Can Man.
The man fascinates me. -
That's some funny stuff right there. Sounds like something that someone told someone that told someone that told a new player. And thus urban legends are born.
-
I go to all those zones still.... EXCEPT Boomtown, which you left out intentionally. Funny, that.

Quote:I've got some bad news for you.As we all know, we're supposed to only make characters in this game that are 100% our own creations.
Once you DO create a wholly original character that is "100% yours" in the CoH character creation machine and then hit the "Enter the City" button (or whatever that button's called) the character is now 0% yours and 100% NCSoft's.
Seriously, read the EULA carefully. Really, go read it. They own the rights to any characters you make here.
I know it's not directly related to the topic of this thread, but I just wanted to make sure that you knew it, not many do. -
Quote:I close my eyes, spin myself around in circles, and then click randomly somewhere on the power selection screen. It's worked for me so far! What I mean is, what's your selection criteria? Why choose a certain powerset before another?
In my case, I go for whatever fits the character I'm creating. Before even clicking the blank slot, I have an idea of what I want, who the guy is, and what's gonna be his specialty and focus.
So, oddly enough, I still don't have a flying character, because it hasn't fit with whatever ideas I've had. And why I went with, what's it called, devices? with my pulp-fiction shotgun-toting guy instead of some energy melee power, simply because it didn't fit the idea.
So I might not have the best character to zoom through levels and missions (I hate Skyway City), but I play the character to its fullest.
So, how do you go about choosing powers? -
and I sell everything for 1 inf. Because I'm too lazy to look for another number to press.

Quote:Are you familiar with the origin of that phrase? It's pure brilliance.Like Forbin says, it's a pretendy fun-time game. (Dude, I have to stick that in a video somewhere.)
-
Luckily the devs were smart enough to make an entire sub-forum JUST for Suggestions and Ideas... isn't that great???
-
Point him to the webpage that shows all the Issues. That should get him updated.
-
I think you should just let him be. He'll come around when he wants to, just remind him when GR comes out. Too much pushiness can push someone AWAY from what you want them to get into.
-
Still too early? This game has been around for over five years. There's over five years worth of content he can go through... if he just doesn't want to play CoH, he won't play it.
And to me, it sounds like he just doesn't want to be convinced and is making up excuses when he just doesn't want to.
Sometimes people just need to learn to say "no".
