The Boot Myth is all too real. It's from people that still think that combat in this game is entirely numbers and that strategy has nothing to do with it. Those people should read my strategy guide which shows that ANY team combination can work, with the right strategy.

I'd suggest that you go to ANY server that you want, and use this guide to make your own teams. It's really not as hard as people think.

All the people that respond to that "go get real friends" bring up their friends far away.

Well, it's nice of course to keep in touch with friends far away with any means at your disposal, but what about LOCAL friends?

Surely, you people must have some LOCAL friends that you can pal around with, or do you spend all your time on your computer in Facebook or whatever talking to your remote friends?

Full disclosure: I have no real friends and thus spend all my time on the computer.

Fuller disclosure: I don't really like people, so I don't want any "real" friends. Shows, doesn't it?

Two words: Status updates.

There is a difference between a forum and a social network as exemplified by MySpace and Facebook.

Social networks are actually more like a "look at me!" kind of thing, where people create their own individual "worlds" or "houses" and other people stop by to visit.

A message board of forum, however is like a bar or a dance club, where everyone comes in to meet with other people, talk, and have fun.

That's the difference. One is about the person talking about themselves at each other, and the other is about bonding with other people.

I'm not going to go into a big long explanation, just read this about Coyote, the final contact in Outbreak.

This one sticks in my mind because I remember when it USED to be another police detective instead of Coyote. I just can't remember the policeman's name.

Power Boost does work on the bubbles, but you'll only get like 3 or 4 bubbles cast before it wears out on it. But the boost lasts for the entire duration of the bubble. So if you "stagger" your bubbles and keep them updated every time Power Boost comes up, you should be able to get the whole team boosted bubbles.

Energy Manipulation? Wha? Boost Power? Wha?

That's a Blaster set dude. Defenders get Energy Blast, which is WAY different.

My favorite will be FF/Fire when Defenders finally get Fire Blast.

Interesting idea Trip, but the problem with it is that the Devs have already stated that apart from AoEs, powers cannot target both a player and another target. It's gotta be either one or the other. I.E. self rezzes can't be "recoded" to work on teammates on the fly. That's why there are two separate powers for those functions. Same with self and single target heals.
