1. Mr. Nak.... can I call you Mr. Nak? Cause that's an awesome name.
2. So, as "Art Lead", are you in charge of Sexy Jay?
3. When can I finally have my International "No" symbol for a chest detail? It's been a glaring omission that I asked for years ago:

Bragging about getting to level 50 before anyone else in a GAME is basically the same as bragging that you have no life.
At least to me.
The point of a game is to have fun, not to impress other people with your virtual, fictional, skills. -
Nope, mine still don't show up. I don't think they'll show unless you register.
-
I... don't get most of it. It's too all over the place. I need a sense of order in the world, dammit!

Did I hear my name? You'll have a new video to show off come tomorrow - I'm frantically trying to finish my 6th anniversary video for CoH.

Hmmm.... I wonder who else that will work for...
Hickman!
Karl Rove Man!
UniqueDragon!
Let's see if we get any bites. -
Neither are mine. Strange... it's a conspiracy!

Quote:Terror1, your post inspired me to make a new motivational poster:Was it really worth releasing i17 with this many bugs that were reported in beta just so it could be timed with the anniversary?
Sure it´s a new issue and there are things going to be broken but a lot of the stuff was known and not dealt with.
Some things were stealth added and since noone knew about them they couldn't test them.
What's up with that?
GRATZ! -
I made a few comments without registering. I hate registering for stuff unless I have to.

If you have an ATI card, the Devs actually recommend going back to the 10.1 Catalyst drivers.
-
I noticed this in Test, and I'm noticing it now on Live. I have a video card that technically "isn't recommended for Ultra Mode".
BUT, I start the game in normal mode, and EVEN in Ultra Mode... and it "feels" like the graphics are smoother and less "laggy" than the graphics used to be, using the Quality settings during the previous 16 issues.
I mean, it feels like the way the game's graphics WORKS has changed, in some sort of more efficient way. Almost like it's gotten a new game engine entirely that was written to be kinder on older video cards.
I just FEEL less "lag", slowness, in general in the way the graphics work. It just FEELS smoother and less jumpy since issues 17, even with higher settings than were previously possible.
Is this just in my head, or are there other people out there with "older" video cards that can verify this as well?
P.S. Also another thing that I noticed is that previously when you made major graphics settings changes from Minimum to Quality and vice versa, and then hit the Apply button, the computer would "freeze" for a few seconds on the main CoH screen while the graphics "reloaded" and then it would go back to the game world. I don't experience this now with I17... when I change from the lowest to the highest and vice versa, it happens INSTANTLY, and when I hit the Apply button, there is no difference than when I slid the slider. -
Quote:Last year, I made an unofficial “Happy Anniversary” post and gave you my big long list of things I fondly remember about City of Heroes.
- Learning how to "window hop" in King's Row before temp travel powers made it easy and CoT on the ground made it unnecessary.
- Seeing The Kraken, my first "Monster" for the first time.
- The old Faultline. The new one is an improvement, but I remember being lost in the depths of the old Faultline with a superspeedster. Getting out of there felt like a huge accomplishment.
- Playing with the Repeat Offenders for a time (before they kicked me out).
- Being able to make Sunstorm's avatar for him... though he doesn't seem to be around much anymore.
- Having BABs comment on PK's "dead" face.
- That being said, "The Death of the Philotic Knight", which was only possible thanks to the Mission Architect.
- Being a DJ on KJSR.NET TWICE and reporting on a big event and the station's anniversary.
- The Loyalists vs Resistance Praetorian feud we had going on the forums for some time before it died down.
- The wonderful Defender community, who I think are the best and most helpful people on these forums.
- The Undrn3t.
- Being recognized ingame during a Test Server Dev event and someone freaking out and asking to let them take a screenshot with them. I felt like a celebrity for five whole minutes!
- Jock_Tamson
- And finally, the wackos over at the Unleashed forums, who have enriched my life in more ways than they could ever know.
-
Nothing is ever really lost on the internet.
Except for the CoH emoticons. -
So... you bumped a thread that was stickied? Awesome!

I hate waiting. That's why I almost never order anything online.

Huh, I never knew that there was a Defender manifesto before I wrote mine. Probably because he didn't put it in the Defender forum...

So.... it's now April 28th where I'm at...
...I can haz I17? -
Isn't talking about legal matters and lawsuits against the rules here?
Or does that only count for OPEN lawsuits and legal matter, and once something is "settled" or closed, it's allowed to be talked about?
Ref, can we get a decision here? -
They're still happening? I thought they stopped that near the end of season 3.

I'm going to be a shameless attention ***** and plug myself here. Most of my threads all in one place.
