As my scrapper I've killed countles controllers.

As my dominator I've not killed a single Scrapper.

These are 1 on 1 figures of course, in teams my Dominator is far more deadly.

Really? Controllers shouldn't worry a regen. Annoy them, yes. Worry them, no.

Admittedly the fear power does annoy me. What's the point of having mez protection when there's incapacitating powers that punch right through it?

I had a brute call out over Broadcast about how my blaster was a coward because she running away from him, or put another way; I wouldn't hang about in melee range for very long.

Insps aren't only an important part of PvP, they're an ESSENTIAL part for many builds.

I would like to know how you have come to this assumption? A controller would beat a regen with no BFs in 30sec or less. Hell give em a full tray of BFs and the troller will win 9 outta 10 times.

Depends who gets the first shot in, but most controllers I've met can't do enough damage to a regen by the time the holds wear off.

I like domination when it's up, but It doesn't really compensate for the "down time"

And I find myself just controlling during a battle anyway and leaving the damage output to everyone else, as they are all better at it than I am. Don't know whether this is because I'm used to playing as a pure support class in CoH or not, but due to the shorter hold lengths with a dominator I find myself not really having time to deal damage either.

With dull pain running most stalkers take my regens health down to about 33% with an AS. As long as I'm not disorientated I use reconstruction to heal myself back up to about 80% a which point I get a broadcast saying "ure health insps are g4y ull run out of them soon tho!!111 then i'll pwn u!!!111"

I didn't have any end problems with my mind/psi until I started dipping in the power pools for toggles to run during battle. I was amazed that by lvl 24 I didn't have or need hasten or stamina and had a good lockdown chain and I was useful in battles.

Running Stealth, Combat Jumping, Acrobatics and a couple of Leaderships was a bit too much though and I decided to get Stamina.

2 minutes of domination doesn't quite equal constant containment and damage from a controller. Dominators were supposed to have damage dealing powers as compensation for containment (the inherent power) and containment (the ability to contain the baddies), in reality they got the raw end of the deal and are way outclassed 99% of the time by a troller.

My scrapper is on extended leave though, only popping up at the weekends to do TaskForces.

/psi is so poor, none of the first 7 attacks have anything higher than moderate damage, and then you need to spend decent slots on them to get them up that high, meaning you're taking away from the control side.

The fact that a Controller can hold for twice as long as do more damage due to containment, shows that Dominators need some love.

Going pure PvP, I'm think PFF, Dispersion and Wormhole are gonna really annoy some people.

a) They're called Stalkers, not stackers
b) Single Target Hold, Group Hold, Single Target Hold used within seconds of each other is usually enough to hold a scrapper
c) You can overpower breakfrees with enough stacked holds
d) With domination up you can hold anything in 1 or 2 shots, so smack a few NPCs before running into a battle

For a player with all hami's in every slot, its the equivilent of him having twice as many slots.


Edit: At the moment I have 95 slots on my cont. If she were to have a Hami in each slot, it would be the equivilent of having 190 slots.

Um, ED still means you won't get that much more benefit to powers from having a full set of Hami-o's. It just means in most cases you've got an extra couple of slots for end reduction/recharge rate. Which isn't really a lot of gain for a 2 hour jellyfest.

My Dominator is pretty mean in a team, but I haven't got a single attack slotted so on my own i'd never be able to damage something enough to finish them off.

I can quite happily hold a scrapper or tank, albeit not for very long, but when teamed with a stalker we're a deadly combination.

It's poo, the animation is awful and the damage is a lot weaker than a nova.

Sirens call on Union tonight was most fun for several hours. First time in a long while that there has been proper big teams battling it out with an asortment of ATs.

Was good fun, some sneaky tactics, lots of running away, lots of ganking, lots of tp foeing, lots of ASing. All good fun!
