Quote:I always thought it was a special ACU or something *shrug* Especially when it was at the top of the forums, I kept thinking "Man, for it to be up there, it has to be named and be like..powerful or something"One thing that's always bugged me about the States vs. ACU image, in all its variations - why are we showing the Superman of the setting going up against a lieutenant-level robot on anything like equal terms? Put him against his opposite number, or one of the other Praetors, but he should be able to knock down IDF 'bots like bowling pins.
I guess not.
But yeah, I can see that. Or at least show up taking on like...10 or something. -
Eh, its neither good nor bad. Just..eh. Some of it works, some of it doesn't.
It's kind of the double-edged issue of using player parts for enemies, sometimes it looks good, sometimes it looks like a really lazy player character.
Like, some of the skulls in the Party Pack wear look decent,
but then the new DeadDoll types just look like a lazy player.
its a mishmash of... adequacy. -
I don't think the Atlas Dome is listed on any wiki (That I know of), and it's kinda tricky to find unless you know exactly what you're looking for,
so to save some dizzy heads come tonight, the Atlas Dome is located at in southeast Atlas Park (bottom right of the map), it's easily identifiable by its hexagon shape. Once there, there's some doors at the bottom with yellow stair signs on them. They'll take you to inside the top. Notice, there are more doors on the side without the signs that don't do anything, so don't get confused. -
So, when are our usual meeting times?

Quote:Also, the robot is tilting its head to the side so their noses' don't bump into each other when they kiss. It's not the position of their hands, it's the position of their faces that does it for me. While he may be scowling, you can see the Statesman look longingly into the robot's cold eyes, while it's expressionless face appears to be lost in the hero's gaze.
I don't know, maybe that's just me. But consider what people's head do right before they kiss, at least in the big "fireworks and applause" end of a romantic comedy. -

There were pics of them in an old thread. They basically use player parts with a new mask. Nothing too special. Even the new type "death doll" or something like that, uses the heart w/ skin option (I think). I'll try and dig up the pics.

Hey, the Skulls are now an equal opportunity organization! -

Just think of "water" blast as "liquid" blast, it becomes a lot easier to come up with concepts for.
But, you've already locked yourself into water. Okay. Well. I hate limiting myself. It would be like saying Energy blast could only be energy and not like...dark matter or negative energy blast since it doesn't do negative energy damage. It's kind of shooting yourself in the foot in a game all about making your own unique character. But if you MUST stick with water you could;
Fire Fighter with water gun
Ghost of a drowned person that now has paranormal water powers.
Atlantean.
Magic Water Elemental
well, if you like dark stuff, go with the second idea. -

I have a feeling we won't get it since it's clearly meant for around I18 or so and Praetoria is ending.
But, I'd be happy just saving the pose. Its nice action pose that isn't just two people jumping at eachother. No weird abs, or twisting or weird smiles. -

Quote:So yeah, it's two "NPC transformations" that transform you into something you could easily make yourself. You're thinking of the Elite Ranger. The regular Ranger doesn't have the back piece.
-
Speaking of emotes, we can't be a comic book game without the typical "Hips never stop swaying" pose
-
So let me get this straight, of ALL the IDF enemies, including Seers, Heavy Troopers, Commanders etc.
They give us costumes of the enemies that we have specific costume parts of? And that have nothing special about them?

Quote:Having used a variety of chainsaws in the past I have to say that chainsaw is huge compared to any wielded by human beings. Although pavement saws look similar to chainsaws and are the size you're imagining...
If possible I would love regular (noisy) and 'stealth' versions of the chainsaw.
Yeah, its long, but I'm talking about width, girth, etc.
Still looks awesome though. -
Eh, the chainsaw isn't as impressive as I thought it would be. I thought it would be something like the width of the swords we have now. aka..huge. That chainsaw looks kinda...dinky.

Quote:*dusts off hands* well I'm glad thats done then. Guess we never need another new powerset ever. We have everything already.super strength covers 90% of super heroes
guns covers 4%
sword covers 3%
everything else is maybe 5 characters per powerset
so you could add stretching for the 4 characters that have it (including Super Skrull), flame powers for the 8 characters that have it (including the Elementals)
but there are no other comic book staple powersets - there are just iconic characters that have powers -
What if you had like...laser...goggles....yeah....
Hey I've seen weirder.
But yeah, it would be neat to see a "beam" powerset then. With eyes/hands/chest options. Along with being more "beamy" than Energy Blast or Beam Rifle (which are kirby dots and electrical respectively.) -
Quote:What about beam rifle?Sitting here trying to visualize even five or six different versions of "stick face out to shoot crap at bad/good guys" is making me laugh hysterically.
Just this:
Over, and over, and over, and over, and over and over again.
They made an entire powerset out of "pewpewpew"
You know what...we just need some animation options for beam rifle where the beam comes out of your face/hands/chest.
