Matrix online is pretty much the only real alternative if you arent a fan of elves and dwarfves atm, its actually very solid technically, still looks great and has (or had when I was there at least) a great community. Unfortunately the story is completely now disconnected from player and franchise and the newer content has been allowed to completely contradict the core theme - but if you want something different and dont try and connect it to the movies its worth a look.

Well that's not really true.

For a start, there's a fantasy game with no elves or dwarves in it called Asheron's Call which has been going for years and years now. Lots and lots of content, though the graphics might put you off if you've been spoiled by modern uberness.

There are a few sci fi games still out there too, I'd have thought SWG would have more subscribers than The Matrix Online.

Quite possibly, given the large population and wealth, but if your creditors are hammering at your door it is better to stick to the safe bets (unless the jig is up anyway, in which case a more risky stratagy would be called for).

Which is not to say that NCSoft are thinking of axing French and German support, but it is what I would do if I where in charge.

This game is hard enough to try to get the badges and missions you want at low level before you outlevel them anyway. I know it will probably be minimal xp but all the same, if they must have it, then we need an off switch so we dont outlevel things. Not one of my alts so far has managed to get the caverns of transcendence for example.

This game is very good and does do a lot of stuff that other games don't. Stuff that makes you go "duh, that's such an obvious necessity, why don't other games have it?"

It could do with some serious tweaking though. We need more variety in map tilesets and better AI.

Could do with more choice in everything too, from what we say to contacts to the number of colours we can have on single pieces of our costumes.

I want to know what I'd get for logging out in the tiki lounge on the 'stage'.

We need more stadiums and venues in Paragon.
