We need shards in order to feed the void.

Quote:And you know this... how?Move the "what I'd do" to issue 22, since issue 21's at least as half-baked already as this one... so with that somewhat better timeframe:
Has there been an overview page yet for i21 yet?
Have they explicity stated what will and won't be in i21?
Have they released any information, whatsoever, about i21?
Oh, oh - I get it - you're just assuming it will be half baked based on nothing. -
Disappointing for you - awesome for others.
I love it.
Does that mean the fact that I love it doesn't count because you are disappointed?
You can't expect every issue to cater to what you want and get upset when it doesn't have that key feature or extra thing that you've wished for. It only makes it a miserable playing experience for yourself. -
Quote:And you have a point?
News flash customer service cost money.
They did free server transfers before don't see why they can't here.
Its going on 2 days now that we can't make toons cause our slots our locked up.
If you're having a hard time understanding that then think of it as a raincheck. Store runs out what was promised, they give you a raincheck so when it is in stock you get it on sale price.
Frankly I don't care if its easy for THEM!
You don't go into a pizza place and decide to have less toppings because it will be more work for the cook. You don't have a cabbie drop you 6 blocks from your destination so he doesn't have to drive all the way there.
You pay for a service you expect service.
But go ahead be a good lil fanboi.
It plays, "My Heart Bleeds For You."
Honestly - it's a game. A digital, video, computer game. It's not that serious.
It's
Really
Not
That
Serious. -
If I were in charge of I21?
My List:- First and foremost, for players to get a grip on reality, get a frakking clue what goes into coding and programming, get them to get over their sense of entitlement that if an issue doesn't have what they want to stop whining.
- Introduce some more iTrials to further the develop the endgame content that people have been whining about for years (and now that it's here people are complaining about the Devs focusing on end game content!)
- Introduce some new architecture to Paragon City and the Rogue Isles.
- Introduce at least one new villains only zone.
- Add some Enemy Group costumes to the available list of costume pieces that players can use.
- Proliferate some powers.

Quote:Actually, there are badges associated with defeating Nightstar and Siege at their spawn locations, if I read correctly.I think you mean "lack of strategy." This isn't an "alternate strategy," it's a self-inflicted handicap.
Nothing wrong with that, but the only reason to do this is to intentionally make the trial more challenging.
And challenging is what it's all about. Nobody roots on lazy superheroes who hide behind buildings and take crap shots at villains who stand in the open. -
Quote:That really comes down to the server you play on. I played on Victory for 6 years and it eventually - IMHO - became a ghost down. It would take me 40 minutes to gather up 8 people to run an ITF.Thanks for the input (No sarcasm) - but im just so "Sad" to see all the wasted old content....I dont know the last time I've seen people go to Dark Astoria to find Adamastor or Crey's Folley for Jurassik. I dont see anything but "LOWBIE LFF" and "CC STARTING IN AP IN 5 MINUTES! PRIZES ARE STUPID AMOUNTS OF MONEY!" (Which generally, only the Atlas Park "Sitters" win anyway)
I moved to Virtue in December and I can round up 8 people in 2 minutes.
So, really, player behavior is a server based issue - much like countries and their views on the death penalty. (random) -
Years ago, when I played WorldsAway (Dreamscape, Hallway World, New Horizons, etc.) they had a similar player run "support" group - (Acolytes in Dreamscape, and Valets in NH and Hallway World, I think.)
Basically, you filled out an online application, it was reviewed by someone internally, they might conduct an ingame or email interview. If you were selected, voila, you got some brief, training etc.
I think this could be a wonderful system, if expanded on.
Who's our community rep again? <wink> ;-) -
The beauty of the new Incarnate System is you don't need it.
Really, you don't.
I'm serious. You don't need it. The new +2 level shifts only work in the new iTrials.
Guess what - when you hit level 50, if you unlock your Alpha slot, you'll start earning Shards - which, at your leisure can be converted to Threads, which at your leisure can be converted into iXP to unlock the 4 new slots, and, again, at your leisure can be converted into components to craft and slot powers for these new slots.
Again, all at your leisure.
Let me stress that again, at your leisure. -
Add my main to your friends list, "Voodoo Girl."
If you see me online on that toon, most likely I'll be leading one of these iTrials. -
So, I haven't attempted it yet, but I'd like to find some intrepid players to give it a shot this weekend - and that is to defeat Nightstar and Siege at their spawn locations, rather than pull them to tennis court "blind spot."
We will definitely need someone with invis on guard tower duty.
Any ideas, folks? -
It's not that hard to run once you've become familiar it with you know the phases and how they work.
-
As Silver Gale stated, these new Trials are not about using tried and true methods of combat - certainly in both Trials you simply can't stand in one place and pound on the enemy (Nightstar & Marauder.) Instead it's about sharing the aggro, moving around, keeping in mind what needs to be done.
12 people pounding on Siege while hordes of 9CU's get stronger? May, for a moment or two, shift your attention to clearing some of those jerk faces. -
This was most definitely my reaction:
-
I don't think it's been stated anywhere, but while in the hospital inside the Trials, you won't be able to earn iXP or Threads. I actually got a shard drop while waiting for the hospital door to unlock.

I do apologize, my post last night was just a rant because we were so close.
Personally, I'm going to blame Victoria MK. VII or whatever that little tarts name is.
I hate Vicki's. -
Quote:Did you miss the part where you signed over your soul to me? You will only be running these trials with me from now...That's fair. As one of the folks on the team, I really appreciated your leadership and willingness to provide specific direction throughout the trial. I hope to end up on one of your teams again in the future.

Just venting my frustration.
As much as I understand it's a new experience for some people, I explained in great detail what each phase would entail, and what we would have to do (and how to trade temp powers!)
But again, people did their own thing. I said don't pacify Marauder until we cleared the adds - so someone pacified Marauder while we were still clearing adds. I said don't do it again until we've cleared the adds; so they pacified him right away.
Just venting, that's all. I led to 2 successful Lambdas yesterday, no big deal, it's just frustrating when you're so close, you're doing so well, and it completely falls apart because people don't listen.
/end rant.
P.S.: And I use a general "people" instead of specifically blaming people. It was a team effort. -
The Lambda I led was a complete, abject failure because people refused to listen. And I think I explained it in great detail what we were to do and how to do it?
-
We'll be meeting in RWZ 3 since 1 is full.
-
Again, it should work the way it does now - you choose to have that status on or not (per toon), but it an account should be flagged to be "Helper" enabled.
