It was a mental hurdle for me.

Why revamp it only to use it for tutorial when you could get so many other uses out of it?

What happens to all those explore badges and the explore accolade? The history plagues etc. Id figure they would just destroy every part of the zone for the most part but leave some very much destroyed structures intact for those badge locations.
The entire zone is not being revamped. It's being eliminated. It will exist in game as a co-op "tutorial" area, as I gather.

It's an epically brilliant idea - streamlining the starting low-level area to one zone ala Rogue Isles/Praetoria. Makes a lot more sense than giving new players (and when I say new I don't mean a new toon a veteran player is rolling) a confusing choice of where to start.

  6. Disintegration will continue to affect you even if you run away from Anti-Matter. You need to be constantly healed since the very last tick of damage from Disintegration will hit you for - IIRC - 80% of your total hit points (not how much you have left, but what your max health hit points are.)
  7. Galaxy City, as I understand it, won't be a zone in the game anymore. Therefore you can't teleport or access it. It will be gone.

The only place I imagine you could "finagle" a teleport to Galaxy City would be Ouroboros.

  8. It's a single target attack. Some people disintegrate faster than others.

  9. Congratulations on making another trip around the sun.
  10. This is a much faster way to get drops:

  11. CoH 2 has not been announced or and it seems unlikely to ever happen until CoH 1.0 is finished.

COH:Freedom, to me, seems to the beginning of what would be a "2.0."

3.Also, how many of you are going to move to the VIP server? VIP sounds nice but Freedom has so many people. This game will become very different if played on a low volume server.
I was suggesting you play on that server if you wanted to see how different the game would be.
  15. Now I can't stop listening to this soundtrack.
  16. The only translator I need is for when I'm searching for a recipe/enh on the market:

Esta se quema un agujero en su bolsillo!
  17. 1. Nobody knows. Detailed information about that powerset has not been made public yet. We'll find out in Open Beta, I suppose.

    2. No idea. Not a badge hunter.

    3. The only way I'm leaving my (new) home server is feet first. Try playing on Victory if you want a low volume server experience.

    4. VIP. Once a new costume set comes out on the market and you'll see you have a mountain of Paragon Points stored, you'll probably take interest in them then.
  18. In regards to this Superman musical, I still can't believe how they made all the songs 70's disco.

I see Pat Carroll listed in the cast (as Hawkman's mother) and I knew that name immediately. She is most famous for voicing:

I know Green Lantern got some dismal reviews, Daredevil wasn't amazing, and Halle Berry's Catwoman was consider epic-fail - but remember, it could always be worse.

    Like the 1975 Superman:The Musical.

Oh, and you can buy the cast album here. (Haven't checked to see if it is available on iTunes)

    General comments:

    - Many of the attacks in the original build lack damage slotting, make sure to change this if nothing else.

    - Never (well, almost never) put more than two lvl 50 IOs of the same kind in a power. Especially not accuracy on a character with accuracy alphas and -defense in her attacks.

    - Hasten is a borderline required power. Just the 3 second gap between Seeds can be a life saver.

    - Fireball is generally a much better power for Dominators than Melt Armor. In fact, skipping Fireball should be criminal.

    - Fly is almost always a wasted power unless you are just picking it for flavor reasons.

    - Stealth and Invisibility can generally be replaced with Super Speed and a Stealth proc.

    - Thorn Burst has a very long animation. It would be my first pick to drop from the build.

    - If you keep Thorntrops, consider slotting it for damage procs.

Here is as far as I got working on what my version my look like. Perma-dom (barely) with 35% ranged defense. By dropping a few powers and reorganizing, I could do a lot better, but I didn't want to stray too far just yet. If you do decide to go with just one epic AoE, consider switching to the Psi APP and take Psionic Tornado.

Luck of the Gamblers are expensive but obtainable with low-ish effort by running hero and villain tip missions here and there. The other expensive piece is the Basilisk's Gaze quad, which usually costs around 100 million.
Thank you for that Definitely going to look into reslotting my enhancements - although I was checking the market for some of those recipes/enhancements - yikes! That's gonna take me some time.

As for taking Melt Armor - I take it for the Defense Debuff factor, which I use in combination with my secondary attacks, which all mostly defense debuff as well. Fireball I tried but didn't do much for me.
  22. I'm finally sharing the build of my main character, my Plant/Thorn Dominator, Voodoo Girl.

Feedback would be nice. I'm not complaining about my build; in fact it's been wonderful for me - but I'm curious what others think of it. I'm sure there's always room for improvement.

In terms of Incarnate Powers - I have a T3 Nerve - [Nerve Total Core Revamp] - boosting Accuracy by 45% and Hold Durations by 33%.
