Interesting to say the least. I should have brought my shielder in hindsight.
Started with 8, finished with 6. Please, don't **** with me.
Thanks for the run. -
Post 9PM for me; 930 for a sure thing.
Though not having me on it could also increase interest. That's what ya call a Catch 22.
dun dun dun. -

~ bump ~
Enigma, studies have shown that mindlessly beating up things in a computer game right before a test garners better scores overall. Just sayin'. -
Quote:03/10/10 - Mental is more overly-excited than usual. Will he be able to make it until 8PM EST??The subject says "next week"... what about something with today's date?

Gotta buy vanguard stuff before it's useable. Only shown as being available for those that could use it; Trollers aren't gonna have the weapons available for purchase. -
So Friday night and scrapper-lock sounds like a good idea to me. Who's interested? Drinks are optional, but recommended.

Penny keeps throwing around the idea of an all-scrapper Master run at this and I just don't think I have the heart for that kind of .... specialness... right now.But I'll bow to the will of the massess if they so choose.
Also, Penny is apparently planning on being hammered before doing this. Have your screenshot button ready to press. Repeatedly. -

My recap:
Didn't play with Mental once. By design! Was glorious!
Saw the Cow log in once. And he said he was back?
Pug'd it up all over Freedom in TFs/missions and didn't have one "bad team". Really liking that guy.
Did some mission running on both blue and red for crazy inf. Love our diff options now. And I still think I was getting more inf while exemp'd into some TFs than should have been possible. But I ain't complaining!
Disappointed overall though; was really hoping to see a few people log back in but saw no indication that they had.Of course, they could have been hiding/lurking/visiting places which I don't peruse, but still.
Quote:Penny, I even looked for you! But the few times you logged in, I was already in a TF or about to log as it was.Sadly RL is dominating for me. Only 4 levels on my bane (32 to 36). -

Will try those.
Any idea why the computer would freeze up right as the patcher is "trying to fix" the corrupted file? Left it on for about 2 hours hoping it was just working really really really hard, but to no avail.
Also, any idea why the current (and I mean current) Test wouldn't have the same files already in it as well? Or maybe it's too current? *shrug* -
Going to try to summarize best I can:
Currently running into a problem with a corrupt sound file from the game's piggs. I get a pop up window and the game crashes when I try to log into a character that is currently on the mountain in CaD. This is the only character having this issue because of the area she's in is trying to play a sound file. I have other characters in CaD without this issue, but I'm not willing to try to get them in the same area to see if the crash happens. Only this one character is unplayable at the moment. I have a screen shot of the pop up, but currently unable to upload the picture.
The pop up reads:
Fatal error
./piggs/soundV1.pigg: Corrupt pig file detected. Read failed for file :sound/Ogg/V_Cap/MountDiable.ogg
your data may be corrupted, please run the patcher and try again.
Verifying files runs through the process, says it downloads the file manifest, and then says it is trying to fix the stated file....except the computer has frozen up every time now. I can see where this file is through PiggViewer; I've looked in my CoX Test directory, but the same file is not there? I was hoping to just copy from Test into Live, but obviously can't unless it's in a different location. So my question/hope now is, can someone upload this particular file for me so I can put it in it's proper place? I've not touched Pigg files in probably 4 years, and have never had this issue; it cropped up last Tuesday and I forgot about it/hadn't logged into that particular character again until today.
If not, I will attempt to see what Support can do for me I guess. I just figured that would take longer than necessary. Thanks in advance.
update: as a workaround, for now, I've placed a blank .ogg file I've used before to silence various other sounds. It has worked, allowing me to log onto this affected character completely and move her. I'd still really like the original file if at all possible. -

Quote:Yes EST. Now, I feel like I have to warn you about how this group may potentially go down. I just feel like there is this need to stamp a big ole disclaimer on it. Especially if you aren't familiar with this server section. Or Satanic Hamster (better known as Shamster). Or even myself in general. But if I gave this warning, it'd be a little biased. I wouldn't necessarily call it self-serving, but certainly biased.I might consider this. It is EST? If i did it I am not sure what I would bring, except maybe a brute or some flavor of corruptor.
So I'd let any others give this warning if they saw fit.
Otherwise, if you're still reading this, welcome aboard! And good luck. -
Even I did it!

Now I just need to buy some more slots on Victory and roll up my toon.
You'll hate traps with guns. Same pitfalls as devices; conceptually, it's a no-brainer. But my gawd the redraw!
Was fancifully contemplating a pistol/Pain corr at some point myself. Done all the other sets and don't want to do another cold so soon. Though repurchasing wouldn't be for pistols..... -
Mental, if you do it, I will. Pinky swear.
Though my guy will be exemp'd for at least the first night...... -
Quote:or cyborg detectives from the future, sent back to right wrongs of clients that haven't happened yet.I think Trenchcoats are the fashion statement of the moment. Whether you're an Old West gunsligner, or a hacker trapped in a virtual reality or just a plain ol' Hard Boiled Hong Kong Supercop the trench looks good when you're spinning around dispensing jusice from the smoking barrels of two pistols.
or undercover cops posing as highschool girls infiltrating nefarious drug cartels recruiting out of local schools and/or just to protect yourself from doped up wannabe-jocks.
or disenfranchised housewives, tired of their daily lives, responding to "work from home" emails to earn big bucks without much effort in the booming sector of private home security.
or people, pretending to be playing characters who are themselves pretending to be fake characters from movies, focusing their frustrations and let downs from life in purely asthetically pleasing, yet competely underperforming, pistoling acrobatics.
The possibilities are endless!
