What *exactly* does it take to get the 2nd and 3rd badges for the Steel Canyon Fire Events?

The first badge has popped up for many of my heroes on the VERY FIRST defeat of a Helion. I even tried taking out a fire first before a Helion, and did not get the badge. Defeating one Helion for the event got me that first badge 8 times now.

I've easily taken out 100 Helions on several heroes and an additional 12 - 30 fires on top of that for others. I haven't gotten past the first Fire Event badge

So is it some triple-digit number of Fire Event Helions? Or is it a combination of fires and Helions for the 2nd/3rd Badges?

Yes, it is repeatible. You set up the mission, *quit* from the team and select a different mission. The team is doing your mission, but you are no longer connected to it for completion purposes.

Get a badge mission. Have other people join your team, getting inside the mission. You quit the team (to get on another character to get this badge for example). You now join this team on a different character. Team finishes mission, everyone gets the badge. You re-log onto the first character. This character gets the badge and mission complettion rewards. Mission is DONE.....cannot be repeated. Even if you didn't join the team on a different character, that original character's mission is finished without being able to be repeated.

This is because DE drops have been bugged for awhile now. Since I6/CoV was patched to live? They aren't dropping for the Hero side either.

Once this bug is fixed, they should drop just the same for villains.

I know what he said...........but it was (probably still is) definitely bugged, acting the way I described since I6/CoV was patched live. I don't believe there has been a patch for it, or at least mentioned that it was fixed.

The one character that I have spent the necessary time for Siren's Call does not belong to any SG. I started out with the normal play-time in Siren's, zoning out of Siren's to do other things, etc. After well over 5 hours of *cumulative* time, I started just leaving my character in Siren's, logging in and out of Siren's only, never zoning. After another ~5 hours of cumulative time, on the next log in, got the badge.

You can only log out but your toon must remain in that zone until you have a total of 5 hours. Then log out and back in to earn it. If you leave the zone for any reason at all you reset the timer back to zero. I have Bloody Bay and Siren's Call badges on 3 toons, trust me I have tested it quite a bit. First time was unintentional which is why the same toon ended up spending 10+ hours in Bloody Bay over the course of 2 days. I would suggest that if you want the badge find a safe hiding spot, easier for heroes then villains since the hospitals are not the same and heroes have advantage. Go do laundry, watch tv, read a book, or kill heroes or villains for a bit. Come back every 20 minutes to move around so you don't get booted for being afk. Also if you get a map server disconnect this also seems to reset the timer. Happened to a few when everyone in Siren's Call got the boot.

Ok, what happened is I spent 7 hours + in Bloody Bay PvP'ing, PvE'ing and so forth, pretty much non-stop action. I didn't zone, take a mission or log once - when I was ready for a break, I zoned back into Cap Au Diable and logged. When I logged back in, I saw the badge still hadn't appeared, so I zoned back into Bloody Bay - still no badge. I'm going to try logging in and out of Bloody Bay and see if that triggers it - if not, I'm going to be pretty annoyed. For me to stay in game without crashing in that time period is a rare thing.

I think that is what got you. The problem seems to be *any* zoning out, or taking missions within the zone, reset the timer. If you had *stayed* in BB, logging out your character, and then re-logging back in, you should have gotten it. I'm thinking zoning to CaD reset the timer for you :-/

Double check your badge windows though. Hopefully you got the badge and it just didn't flash the screen text for you.
