I think the developers, goal should be that the casual player is able to play, but that the hard core players are rewarded with "something" for their hard work. The key is that the "something" is, on the one hand, good enough to satisfy the hard core players, while on the other hand, the "something" can't be so essential that casual players are left out of something that they really need in order to play task forces and raids, etc.
If you agree with that premise, then the question becomes whether there are things in the game that are really necessary in order to participate in raids and task forces, but are too expensive for the casual gamer? I can't think of any. -
I think that there are 2 categories of temp powers: those that sell (if at all) for less than 1000 at WW, and those that sell for more. I would like to see the option to not accept the cheapo temp power drops, so that my recipe inventory doesn't fill up when I'm too busy fighting to go in and delete the cheapo temp powers.

I enjoy the existing raids, but hope more raids are added. I think a "defend the wall" style raid could be fun. Of course this could be set up in a lot of different ways, and the following is just one possible way.
(1) A Raid Leader initiates the raid. Characters join and are in a holding area until Raid Leader triggers "Go", at which point everyone is transported onto the south end of an instanced large outdoor map with a wall running east-west along the middle.
(2) The wall has layered defenses and is currently held by hostiles. The wall is vulnerable in 3 places (A, B and C), and the raid need to split into 3 groups to attack A, B and C simultaneously. The defense installations can be captured and repaired similar to capturing gun emplacements in RV. After 5 minutes a wave of hostiles will attack from the north so there will be time pressure for initially capturing and preparing locations A, B and C; and there will be 2 more such waves. The fourth and final wave will include the Arch Villain and uber hostiles.
(3) Each enemy wave attacks unevenly so that most of the wave concentrates on only 1 of A, B or C. It will therefore be up to the Raid Leader and raid members to respond and move reinforcements to wherever each enemy wave is concentrated. If the hostiles capture A, B or C they will be able to transport in reinforcements making it harder for the raid to succeed.
(4) As to the ability to hospital, perhaps the instance could include a "damaged medical transporter" or "triage center", which would only partially heal -- so that there would be in effect a greater time penalty if killed raid members aren't rezzed by other raid members.

If there is room, I will plan on bringing Void Spirit lvl 50 kat/wp scrapper.

I will plan on bringing Simona Morte lvl 33 dark/dark defender.

Email it to your own global name (the name with the @ in front of it).

I recently took Shadow Fall on my dark/dark defender. However, the few times I've used it on teams, the team has asked me to turn it off.
Why don't teams like Shadow Fall? -

Thanks Tymers for providing the quotes. I think that answers my basic question -- the in-game freebies are not significant and there are no other promotions to consider. So I can just buy from wherever (probably Amazon since it gives me free shipping).
-
I received an ncsoft email with a link describing the Gamestop promotion for Going Rogue (pasted below). My question is whether or not the 5 "enhancements" are significant. I hope not, if that would mean my existing characters will be inferior in this regard compared to new characters.
Second question: is Gamestop the only promotion, so that the analysis is -- might as well buy from Gamestop since 5 exclusive in-game freebies are better than zero in-game freebies?

Thanks for the helpful replies! As to Fulmens question of what I consider to be a decent price and low volume, that is in flux because I'm having to adjust the minimum profit up and minimum volume up in order to address the issue of clogged slots.
-
My biggest ongoing issue with WW is that my slots are usually clogged up. What rules of thumb do you use to avoid tying up slots? For example, if you list an enhancement at 75% of what looks like market value, but the next time you check the apparent market value has fallen by 50% -- do you leave up the enhancement and hope the market rebounds, or do you immediately eat the 5% relisting fee and relist it based on the new lower market value?
I think my biggest problem is with recipes/enhancements that sell for decent prices but at low volumes. Do you simply vendor low-volume recipes even if the few transactions are for decent prices?
In theory, I know I could be emailing a lot to my other toons, but I personally find it too tedious to constantly relog on different toons just to move stuff around for different toons to sell.
Thanks in advance for any useful advice. -
Currently WW only displays the dates and prices of the last 5 sales. What would be the statistics you wish that the developers would add to the WW display?
For me, it would be (i) median price for the last 7 days and (ii) average daily number of sales over the last 7 days. -
If there is room, I would like to bring Void Spirit lvl 50 kat/wp scrapper.

What is the reason for the relative lack of supply redside?

Yes that works if you have an enhancement to sell. But what do you do if you have say a Numina recipe and want to decide whether to sell the recipe or instead craft it and sell the enhancement?
-
When I receive a dropped recipe, I check on WW to see whether it would be better to sell the recipe or the enhancement. This process on the WW interface seems laborious, because I type in the name of the set and then have to look thru a dozen names to find the recipe and enhancement I want.
My suggestion is that after the set name there would be a number and letter. The number would be 1 for the first item in the set, etc. The letter would be R for recipe or E for enhancement. For example, if Numina Health/End was number 2, then entering 2 after the set name would list only the Numina Health/End recipe and enhancement.
Note that to be feasible, this suggestion would also require that the WW autocomplete feature allow the user to enter more information after the set name fills in (or alternatively, the WW listing could allow entering the code before the set name). -
