I hate the merit system...there are fewer sfs on villains so we have to do the same ones over and over, gets boring and no recipe drops has destroyed the market...it is next to impossible to find recipes on the market these days, even if you can afford them, they just simply are not available. Makes it very discouraging for me

It's not just the small number of SF's. It's the smaller number of merits rewarded for them as well. While I understand that they are all usually shorter than hero TFs, that isn't really something that a villain player had control over. If they're going to have disproportionate ways of earning merits, the cost of rewards should reflect that.

With every TF/Trial, you should at least earn enough merits to roll, and every 2-3 should net you enough for a recipe of your choice.

    [/ QUOTE ]
People that say "the SFs don't give as many merits as the TFs" are forgetting something. I've run the numbers, and you can generate the same amount of merits in about the same amount of time regardless of whether you're a hero or a villain. You'll have to run a bit more content redside, but it should take about the same time. Here are my numbers. If you say "but most teams don't finish the content that quickly," then just extend the times to what you figure a normal team will finish in You'll still find that heroside and villainside offer about equal rewards for time spent.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Oh no, that's not my argument really, I'm not pissed they reward less (though I get how you read that out of what I said), with the diminishing return on rewards it just makes it all the more frustrating trying to get them redside where less choices are available, and also, seemingly, less population willing to run TFs. I've been back in the game for about 3 months, in that time I've been able to get ONE pug SF during what I consider normal hours (5-10 pm EST).

...For those that have obtained Fabricator, I'd like to know how many did it with just crafting enhancements, as that seems to be the way we're now being asked to.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Well, I did.
I think I may have crafted 2 or 3 buffs in that time, but 99.9% enhancements.

It DOES have a couple of side effects to do that....

Our SG tables were full of lots of fun enhancements.
And I made tons of moo-lah sellin' the crafted IOs.

I think I can live with the side effects.

So you crafted 9998 or 9997 enhancements for the craft 10k things(now enhancements!) badge? No salvage conversions?

As for Zub, I'm realing it's just easier to ignore you since you obviously don't have a reason for how allowing all crafts from the invention table to count for credit cheapen how it was achieved in the past when this same thing was also true. You were on my ignore list when you were complaining about being PVPed against when trying for badges in those zones, and you're still there in game. Grats making the forum ignore too.

I'm still not sure how the ability to convert base salvage for badge credit somehow belittled or cheapened the efforts of those that...wait for it...were able to obtain it by...little more build up...converting base salvage.

Not even going to try and answer this, since you clearly wouldn’t understand the answer, given that you don’t even understand when someone is telling someone else to shove something up their [censored]. Reading comprehension. Learn it. Live it. Love it.

Or more likely because you don't have an answer that would make any sense. By the way here and here and really, this one fits too.

But... Zub, if the following doesn't sound very respectful = Well, that's because it's truly not:
Please, kindly take your "Easy-Mode" Garbage/Snark and shove it somewhere very, very dark.

Like your reply was even close to articulate.

It was, yes. Good that you noticed. I believe that I managed to convey my opinion, and pointedly did it without telling him to shove anything up his [censored].

    [/ QUOTE ]

Elitist, or arrogant, possibly. But not articulate. And he never told you to shove it somewhere on your body, just somewhere dark.

  7. Name: Descent

Currently Recruiting: Currently open for recruitment at all levels.

RP Level: Medium to Full RP. All OOC chatter should be prefaced appropriately in SG/Coalition.

PvP Level: Player driven, but generally only for badges/shivans/nukes.

Theme/Concept: On the surface Descent is nothing more than a club owned by Ari Hassan, codenamed Reprieve. Beneath the surface Descent is a group of assassins and thieves that’s been around since the late 1700s.

Activity: Currently we’re a small group. At least one of us is usually around though not necessarily on our character in Descent.

Requirements for Membership: Currently recruiting all levels, and all ATs. There are basically two different types of Descent members. Club staff, which include dancers(exotic and otherwise), bartenders, and the like. And those that work behind the scenes as well.

    Leadership: Reprieve, Avi

    In-Game Contact(s): @Derek, @Tailchaser

Out-of-Game Contact(s): Victorious at the forums.

Coalition(s): We are in coalition with three other moderate activity level groups.

Other Details: Our coalition has a monthly team up night on the fourth Wednesday of each month. In addition there are usually people around for Strike Forces and teaming during the week. Please feel free to contact me through PM or in game for more details.

If the "taunt ping-pong" isn't acceptable as a tactic to use in PvE, then why isn't getting multiple Assassin Strikes within a few seconds? After all, we really don't have any defense against three or four stalkers coordinating their AS to hit at the same time. Why can't tanks use group tactics with other tanks?

    [/ QUOTE ]

How is this different from multiple blasters hitting you all at once? you have a little more reaction time, true. However the principle is always going to be true. Many will win over 1 or few. 1 on 1, can a stalker beat a tank? maybe, but the battle coudl also end in a stale mate. Or the tanker could be the stalker if he doesn't run all without tactics. Heck, a tanker one shotted my stalker before. (Rage + KB)

    [/ QUOTE ]

Also the blasters aren't all hitting you with 400+ points of unresitable damage.
