Don't worry too much about that. To Hit is pretty rare in PVE. I'd guesstimate if you are at 45% to all three positional defenses you can very well solo 95% of game content. Just watch out for the floating eyeballs in firebase Zulu and a couple other enemies and you'll be set.

I'm trying to softcap S/L defense and have enough DPS to solo AV's and Pylons but i'm starting to think it's not possible. This is the best build I've come up with so far. Any help from the scrapper vets is very appreciated!

Lvl 28 km/ela here and having a great time with it. /ela caps energy damage res early on and their is a lot of energy damage in the new zones so from the start it feels pretty strong. Things are really picking up now that I have energize and stamina. I've also heard that /ela can be softcapped to s/l dam so end game should be just as fun.
Of the sets you mentioned /wp will be an smoother ride and both will be excellent end game performers. Hope this helped, have fun! -

KM does energy and smashing damage. It also has PS which is a bit nicer than BU. Thus KM gets my vote.

Today's build is brought to you by... the color purple.
The only thing that bothers me about the build would be the 8 seconds of defensive downtime and 3 seconds of animation time that would occure during extended fights (ie AVs, pylons) that seems like a lifetime when up against those types of heavy hitters. But if that isn't something you care to do then go for it! It seems very impressive! -
What about replacing SR's tier 9 with something that promotes psi def? Maybe 25% when slotted. Or would this be way overpowered?

Wow totally double checked for the steadfast unique in your build and still missed it. My bad.

Quick tip, find a slot for the Steadfast Protection +Def unique! And if you are sillyrich get the Gladiator's Armor unique! Although even if you have the 2 billion inf for it I've heard some kids are trading their pinky toes for the IO, off-market. Soooo... good luck trumping that! :-)
