    Henshin Superhero fanboy,

Ooh! A fellow henshiner! I must test you!

    Faiz or Blade?
  2. Once I get my main to 50 (Katana/DA scrapper) will he be useful or desired at all for this, or will I have to be Vengeance bait?
  3. <QR to the article>

These seem like good changes...reading the original guides I realized that my main toon, if he ever gets to 50, would be useless in a Hami raid, which was kind of sad. If they can make it so that we can all be useful, that'd be awesome.

Unfortunately, that will probably never happen. Players will always decide that one or two ATs are all that's needed and that everyone else is useless, regardless of how the devs try to balance it.
  4. I absolutely HATE to join in on the DOOOOOMiness that happens so often in this forum. I hate doing it. But I have to be honest, this event disappointed me, especially after the incredibly fun Winter Event. The side missions were kinda boring, the mission text said something like "you should bring a villain along" rather than "You MUST have a villain in order to complete this mission!" (which led to me running around for forty-five minutes looking for a glowy before someone on global was nice enough to tell me what I needed to do) and Snaptooth was far too hard to kill to be enjoyable. I got one reward and a mountain of debt for the whole process.

Again, I really hate complaining, because I think people here complain at the drop of a hat, but this one wasn't that fun for me.
  5. Thanks for the guide man. Mostly confirmed what I had already done with my toon.

I did team with someone once who used a combination of Death Shroud and Cloak of Fear to turn himself into a quasi-tank. That was kind of cool.

Y'know, it would be cool if we did something as a project on the forums, like every person participating draws one panel, and then we make it into a comic.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    That would be so awesome.

So I'm getting this artist on another board to draw me a promo picture...I'll see if that generates any interest.
  7. Yeah, it's kind of a pipe dream, I know. Wish I could draw.
  8. Basically, it's going to be done as if it were a real comic, so a six issue mini-series or so. I've got the ideas, I could write just as plain words, but I'd love to have this work out with art as well just to add to the storytelling. And yeah, I can't really pay people so if you're interested, send me a PM and I'll describe the project. You can see if its worth it at all to do it without pay.
  9. So I've got this comic book project I really want to do...it's sort of a quasi-fan fiction thing, and I was looking to see if there was an artist out there who would mind drawing it. If this is totally not a cool thing to do on this forum, ignore me completely.
  10. Oh man, the day my Dad came home with the ImagiNation Network was a happy day in an eight year old's life.

    mountains of Yserbius (sierra network)

    Wasn't it 'Shadows of Ysrebius?'

    Earlier poster...
Air Warrior! Dear lord, the amount of time and $$$ I sank into that game. I could play at 300bps for $6 an hour or 1200bps for $12.99 an hour back on Compuserve, then had to cover the phone bill on top of that. Between IoK and AW, I had some huge Compuserve bills.

My god, Yserbius! I LOVED that game. The old Sierra network kicked all kinds of butt.
  12. I've always wanted to try an Arena match. Never gotten to.

    WonderCon

I just came back from the third day of this awesome event.

    Highlights for me:
-The Serenity Panel: Joss Whedon, Nathon Fillion (Mal), Summer Glau (River) and Adam Baldwin (Jayne) all showed up for this, and put on an awesome panel. You can tell the cast of the show/movie are all really good friends in real life, and they were friendly with even the weirdest fans. They showed us a scene from the movie, which looks [censored] amazing. Also, Joss started the panel by bringing up John Cassaday and announcing they would be doing a second year of Astonishing X-men, ending with the first ever Astonishing X-men Annual. w00t!

-Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes: Jason didn't really talk, but Kevin was hilarious as always. The funniest was when both realized the poor sign language interpreter had to translate everything they said. I now know the sign language for "[censored]."

-The Batman Begins Panel: Christian Bale showed up, and he was a really cool guy. Again, they showed us a trailer that no one had seen before.

-The Hitchhiker's Panel: The exec producer of the movie was the lead guy, and he seems to actually understand Hitchhikers. Apparently, he was a personal friend of Douglas Adams before he died. The full theatre size preview of the movie is literally the best movie preview I've ever seen.

-Free Enterprise and Starship Smackdown III: Both fun panels, the movie (Free Enterprise, it's about two Trekkies who finally get to meet Shatner and realize he's insane) was hilarious, and the Smackdown panel came down to a draw between the Serenity and the NC-1701.

I also got to meet Ray Park (Darth Maul), Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), and Rob Van Dam.

Oh yeah, and meeting Statesman and getting a CoV shirt was awesome.

    Lowlight:
-"Inside Episode III" with Steve Sansweet - You know those Hyperspace behind the scenes things about Episode III that have been out since this SUMMER? That's all they showed. [censored] you Lucasfilm.

Best Moment of the Whole Damn Thing:
-Right before I left today, I realized that I'd dropped a set of blueprints from Mallrats that I'd bought earlier in the day. Obviously, somebody made off with them and I never saw them again. In desperation, I returned to the View Askew booth to see if by some far off chance I could get replacements. The guy who played Steve-Dave in Mallrats was working the counter, and reeeallly didn't seem enthusiastic about the giving [censored] away for free idea. Then, who should walk around the corner but Kevin Smith. As I'm trying to remain dignified and NOT turn into a drooling fanboy, he says "We have the display blueprints, but they're a little ripped, you want 'em?" He gives me the stuff for free. AWESOME guy.I just came back from the third day of this awesome event. It's held in San Francisco every year, and run by the same guys who do the San Diego Comic Con (which I'm gonna try and go to again this year). Anyone else go?

I didn't have the guts to nominate the Astro Megaship/Megazord for the panel.

You mortals have always amused me. Seeking companionship, friendship, when all of that only leaves you open for betrayal. In my domain, the domain of Vengeance, we understand that others should only be used for as long as they are useful to you.

    Paragon Orderly:

Ooook then....well, I don't know what the heck he was talking about, but if you need backup I'm up for it. Just contact me sometime.
