  1. Okay. So according to support, September didn't count for Paragon Rewards.

So now not only did I lose time in the various drop fractions part of the math for the headstart, now September doesn't count either. The 39th Token that I got by accident for the Headstart was for October 28th not September as I thought... So I'm not going to get a reward token for over two and a half months.

The mind boggling part about all of this, they gave me my Paragon Point for September, even though my billing date was before launch, they gave me my Transfer Token for September too, but Reward token? No. Are Reward Tokens are too valuable? They cost too much to make?

It cost them more to pay the various GMs' time spent dealing with all of these support tickets over this misunderstanding than it would have cost to just count September and give everyone an extra token.

This entire mess is just idiotic. It makes me not want to play this game anymore.
  2. There were only 29 Veteran Badges before Freedom. Those are the Veteran Badges the articles reference. 39 at Freedom's Launch is how many you should have gotten.

29 from Veteran Badges (total months divided by 3, drop fractions)
    7 for yearly anniversay
1 for free, everyone gets one
1 for having a retail account
    and 1 for September

That is how many I got as well. I have yet to get any more though and also have a support ticket that is not making any headway at all that I can tell.
  3. The spawn rate for the zombies in the final part is much too low on a 4 person team. We focused entirely on killing zombies during the time given and only got 70 or so of them before we had to kill the monster in the last 30 seconds. Most of this time was spent flying around in circles looking for more zombies.

Presuming that this is for getting a badge, it will be impossible to do with these spawn rates. At least for a 4 person team, the spawn rates may be higher on a bigger team, if a bigger team is even possible for this trial.

Other than that, it was good. I enjoyed it.
  4. How are we supposed to take screen shots of our characters in the location if the servers are going to be down?
  5. Why not...

If I am a winner, I permit NC Interactive, Inc. and NCsoft Europe Limited to use my name, likeness, photograph, hometown, and any comments that I may make about myself or this contest that I provide for advertising and promotional activities. 6. I enjoyed it a lot and have some thoughts.

    1) Lord Winter is too similar to Winter Lord, maybe Winter King or King Winter instead.

    2) The Knocking off of toggles by the Lord Winter. It's not clear enough that he's doing it. Several of us thought there was a bug causing it at first. Unfortunately I don't really know of any way to make it clear without making it possibly too obvious.

    3) Small Bug: the Lord/Lady of Winter badge seems to be confused as to the gender of its recipients sometimes. My female character Mercurial Talon got the Lord of Winter badge and I was going to suggest making it gender specific with a Lady of Winter version until I saw that all the other female characters who were wearing it already had that.

    4) I miss the frozen waterways that we had in the original winter event.

Otherwise, it was a blast. I look forward to beating up giant snowmen a lot.
  7. That's a nice site overall. I enjoyed it looking through it quite a bit.

    Well done.
  8. Hmm. It says in the rules that you need to put the arc ID number that it is published in the architect under.

Does that mean that those of us that are unable to publish can't enter the contest?
  9. [ QUOTE ]

The only bug I don't hate is the one with using any power that calls the "Smashcast" animation while you have the Nemesis staff in hand.

I've been very slow to 'fix' that particular one.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Please continue to be slow fixing it... maybe even move it from "bug" to "feature" Call it early power customization?

I love pulling the nemesis staff to put the radation anchor toggles on an enemy.
  10. Base Repricing
    1) How will the repricing of bases affect you personally?

I see it as a very good decision over all. The lower prices will make larger, more viable bases available to many of my tiny SGs made up of either a single character, or small group of friends.

    2) Will you dismantle your base to gain the additional prestige from the repricing?

Yes, I will, but then I enjoy base building and often spend hours rebuilding bases anyway.

    3) How long would this process take you if you were to engage in this practice?

Hours probably, to take advantage of the repricing without getting bitten by the new salvage reqs will take some tricky arrangements of rooms and plots sizes. Plus I have a lot of little SGs.

    4) What are the positive and negative concerns regarding repricing?

I don't really have any concerns as far as prices go. Though the new upkeep system is going to take some getting used to.

    5) How will this feature affect you long term and short term?

Short term, many hours spent in the editors. Long term, having to remember to pay upkeep again, but at least it is a small amount. Worth it though for the better access to larger plot sizes.

Base Salvage Exchange to Invention Salvage
    1) What is the negative effect on your base for this feature implementation?

I'm not entirely sure yet, but I am worried. It could be minor, it could lead to all sorts of new griefing. The most immediate effect will be the inability to craft as much with the salvage we already have after converting to brainstorms and the inability to store as much non-crafting salvage in the Base storage (Halloween stuff).

    2) What is the positive effect on your base for this feature implementation?

I suppose it'll be less to keep track of... and being able to share salvage among my own characters in a SG, that's very handy

    3) How long will it take you to adjust to learning this new system?

    Probably not too long.

    4) What side effects to this system do you currently see from transitioning the old to new system?

I hope the market doesn't go too nuts over this.

    5) What security concerns do you have regarding this change?

Well, with base storage holding things that are more valuable to people than base salvage was, SG leaders will need to limit the availability of storage from new members and since we can't limit access to specific storage items or even types no storage means none at all for new members... and even with a "trial member" period people can still steal things as soon as they get promoted, or if they have a falling out with the leadership... etc.
Personally, these issues won't affect me much as most of my SGs are tiny and made up completely of friends, we don't invite strangers, but in the few SGs I am in that are "Big" SGs it could be trouble eventually, for their leaders.
