1st - Wanted Comics Love it! Great, catchy name for a comic brand. I like the skull, too.
2nd - The correctional facility, though impressively drawn, looks from a different era.
3rd - The title - I like the ...font, I guess the word is, but the ...."drippage" is too distracting for my tastes.

Not sure what kind of character the toons have, but understand that the bandana was typically only worn to either rob a bank or something, or in a dust storm. The scenes look too clear for a dust storm.

The 3rd template, for me, the sheriff's star is crowding the title.

Lastly, I can't recall the last time I bought a comic book. But, I think the volume and issue information should be present in the upper right corner, if for no other reason, then you can ensure that none of the letters in the title get chopped at the publishers.

I read a plea for help on a global channel and since I had solo'd Trapdoor easily, figured the person asking for help just didn't realize what the word "Bifurcate" meant. I didn't myself, and when I looked it up, figured I'd pull Trapdoor into the hallway, and got the best of him. But when I went to help this other person, with the same toon that spanked him easily, I found that things had changed.

Obviously, the range has extended greatly. If Trapdoor could jump high enough, he would have followed my tank to the front door of the map. I tried clobbering all the clones, but they would respawn before I could get to Trapdoor.

Here's the technique that would succeed, however, unless you have two accounts, you're not going to be able to solo this, post-patch.

Spam a hold on him. Once held, continue to hold while someone else clobbers the clones.

Then he'll go down easily, just so long as you can keep him held.

Was this an impromptu run? I never saw any notice....

A tip: When dealing with parental aggro, it's always better to use placate than taunt. :P

I'm going to think about whether this will even be worth my time for a moment. I'm thinking of setting up a venue so both sides of this twisted coin can be heard. We'll speak in a private channel that I'll set up for this. There will be three "judges" picked from my global friends list. Yeah, it's definitely a dated machine, and I'm sometimes painfully aware of it. It's just difficult to justify spending any money on a machine that is working just fine. Still, I'd like to see the game in most of its glory, and only because seeing it in all of its glory might be cost prohibitive.

I have plenty of time, and I have the financial resources to do what's needed to get it done. I also have an ability to read directions. I've actually built a few computers before, but that was back when Gateway and Packard Bell were the big boys and Dell was just a fledgeling start up.

Eventually, I'd like to get a new motherboard, CPU - but I want to be smart about these choices. I've got a 2 gig stick of RAM, and 1 gig stick of RAM and it would be nice if I could at a minimum continue to use the 2 gig stick in whatever motherboard I happen to get. I can't possibly imagine using more than 4 gigs of RAM at any one time, but who knows what nifty technological marvels are in the future. I'd go with 8 gigs if it wasnt' too pricy. The MB I get, I hope will have 4 slots for memory, so that 8 gigs is an option.

The tower currently has 4 open slots for it. Pretty much a standard size tower. However, the motherboard came out of a small form factor case - and the power supply went kaput. The only power supply I could find to still fit the SFF wouldn't have enough power to do what I would eventually want. However, at the time, this power supply was the only one my local parts guy had in stock. (I wanted to fix it right then, and not wait)

No doubt you may have noticed the old sound card. The MB has a built in sound card, but once I upgraded to SP3, my system can't seem to find it, and the drivers I've downloaded can't seem to relocate it either. So, I put in this cheap card, which seems to be doing well enough.

I'm also considering just saving my money and buying a complete gaming system, but I'd rather build one myself, I think I'd get far more bang for the buck that way.

I am thinking that with a new 20" monitor and playing the game with a 1600X900 pixel resolution as opposed to my old 15" monitor and its 1280X720 resolution, that the higher resolution might impact game play in typical lag areas. It certainly seems to be impacting my skiing times. :P

Also, should I return this monitor for one with a higher resolution capability? The picture looks just like my old one, except I have a lot more room for the map and power attributes.

So, I think it might be time to upgrade. Maybe even past time.

Well, I do understand wanting to get through some tough levels. Having two accounts, I took my fire/fire tank of one account, and put my level 49 ws on the same team with the tank, and had my ws hover high in the air.

In an AE mission, set to 1/+6, it took 6 groups of baddies to get the 2 bars needed. Sadly, the length of time this took was comparable to rushing through an ITF. So, I really don't think I can help you much more than you could help yourself.

Now, I can do those AE's at +2/8, and that would tweak things a little higher, but each spawn would take me a little longer, and I'm not convinced there's any extra speed in that scenario.
If I were you, I'd just park the toon for a bit, play another one.
Alternatively, you could run a TF and choose not to stealth through. If you announce this intention to "kill all" - I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at the interest you get. You're not the only one who wants to level up.

Thanks to those of you who chose to come to the MSR. It was sort of last minute, but we managed to get slightly more than three teams and clobbered the pylons faster than I could type them out at some points.

If my math was right, I got 418 Vanguard merits and two shards. Not great for an hour, but I look at the 300 plus merits as 8 shards. (converting 4 shards to a Grai Matter versus buying the Grai Matter with Vanguard merits)

What level is your toon now? I wouldn't mind helping someone get a few bars, but if you're level 6 or so, I think you might have to learn to live with disappointment.

Seriously, consider having it in RWZ, right outside the Vanguard base. Winner can be on my team and sit around and do nothing but collect VG merits.

Short notice and all, but since I know that there's no way my employers can call me into work on Christmas eve, I think that might be a good time for me to host an MSR.

I know many will be celebrating Christmas with friends and family, as will I. So, I think a later time might get more interest than an early time. I figure Friday night11:00 pm Central, Midnight Eastern will be a good time for it - late enough so that kiddies are in bed, travelers who didn't go too far can get back home, wrap presents, etc.

I've never hosted an MSR before, and there's probably some things that I don't know about it, but I can count to 20, and I know how to type "Get rez'd or hit the hospital and come back ASAP".

The primary purpose of this MSR is to clobber as many baddies as possible. Shards and Vanguard merits (to buy the Grai matter piece) and whatever else you might want to do with Vanguard Merits.

This MSR should in no way interfere with the one typically scheduled at (8 pm eastern?) on Fridays.
If this in any way interferes with any server events, I do apologize, but before the servers went down, I didn't see any posted on the server channels, nor in the server forum.


I reserve the right to call it off due to lack of interest - which shall be defined as less than 3 full teams.

I don't care what level you are, but I think out of respect for your fellow players, you should have HOs, IOs or SOs slotted. Sorry, but toons with DO's are probably not going to be able to contribute much.

In the lower right, the FPS display, and the graph along the bottom ... do those help you play better or just keep you mindful of when not to rush in to battle?

Well, there is only one NEED to fill the alpha slot, and that's for the 2 tfs. For now, only a select few will run the many tfs needed to fill the slot and keep some shards stashed for future conversions.

It's a nice feeling to be able to help other folks get through the tfs by asking the team leader, "What AT would help most?" So, for now, one damage, one debuff and one damage mitigation(tank/brute) and one buff toon will get the slots filled. So far, I'm 2 out of 4.

Hazy, you may see LFA as a possible disruption in Liberty's ....community. To me, it's not, just a different acronym.

Matt, you're asserting that there are folks who have a problem with the mods of LB.

Myself, I don't have a problem with any of the mods - except when they're not online to do the modding.

Unpossible?, (formerly NYC) , PW, Cap'n Punch and many others have all stepped in from time to time to help prevent foolishness on LB from escalating. I've seen Hazy do his part as well, unsilencing new folks into the channel.
There have also been times when the Mods were not online or in hiding and I got to read all sorts of unsavory things dealing with bowel movements and gratuitous sex with animals.


Matt, I know you care about Liberty. I also know that you've said and done some things that were misconstrued. You've also said and done things that were ....unwise.
So have I. Everyone has.

The two of you are both very bright, and both very resourceful, capable of helping Liberty.

A global channel is really a wonderful thing. It allows me, as a player to continue to have my own SG and still team up when I feel like it, instead of it being sort of compulsory.

The channels we use to make plans are tools, nothing else. So far, having LFA around has provided some with a way to make teams without having to navigate through a lot of chatter.

Mind you, sometimes, there is a lot of chatter on LFA as well.
Admittedly, it is sometimes ridiculous to see someone recruit for a tf in LB, then see them recruit in Sisterhood, then in LFA.

But hey, nobody is forcing me to belong to three channels.

My opinion, and that's all it is, is that LFA is only a divisive factor if we make it one.
