Out of Ice and Earth, which one does more damage? Or are they both equally as bad? Will Fulcrum shift help make up for the lower primary damage?

K.. My wife rolled a stone tanker and we both leveled up to 35ish, I am currently playing a plant/rad controller. I have come to the conclusion that I should have went Kinetic.. I already have a fire/kin that is 50. What is a good match for a kin that has higher dps seeing as how stone tanker dps is FTL.

K.. Im not a HUGE stats guy or numbers guy... I have been wanting to build the best support FF/Rad toon for a while now. He is already level 31 but I need help with the build. What pool powers are best for support? I duo so I dont have to worry about actually doing any damage whatsoever. I would be fine with not choosing a secondary power past the mandatory first one. So here is my request... Any of you defender masters out there have time to build me a solid build? I have roughly 500 million to spend on the IOs.. I know it isnt alot, but I will farm my butt off on my scrapper to make more if I need to... Thanks alot for any help you can give me.

K.. you've convinced me with Rad as my primary.. as a secondary, is Rad overkill? or should I look at another for a their secondary effects?

Thank you for the advice.. Id like to play something that isnt MEGA common like my other 2 toons and maybe requires a bit more skill to play.

So far I have a 50 Fire/Kin and a 50 BS/WP.. I wanted to roll a defender for 100% team support for Taskforces and Rikti Raids.. Any suggestions for an appropriate powerset combo?

So will earth/emp be impossible to solo? should I find a leveling buddy?
and is being the best healer equal to being the best debuffer or buffer? Im just curious what is more appreciated as far as your abilities as a support class.

Ive always played support powersets in any mmo game I play.. I guess Im happy just sitting back and helping my teammates... What is the best support powerset in COH? Is it a controller or defender? Please be nice as I am fairly new to the game and havent been around as long as most of you.

Not to sound like a noob, but Im sure I will.. I just reached 44 with my fire/kin controller... this is my highest level toon and Im starting to get AV missions in PI... Can I solo them or should I just try and find a team? Ive pretty much solo'd from start to where I am now.. Thanks alot for the help, and please be gentle... lol

Just got my first toon to 43.. at what level should I start looking at IOs and set bonuses and whatnot? Also, what is a good place to start farming for them? Im a fire/kin btw.

Ah... now I understand.. basically more than 3 of any Single Origin enhancement is less effective than putting another type in it?

Thank you all very much for the advice.. Ive leveld my Kin/Rad to 21 so far... done 2 task forces with him and solo healed them... it is VERY intensive..Only having one heal and only being able to focus it off a bad guy makes things tricky. I find myself buffing speed boost ALL THE TIME. Ive also realized that I dont need a travel power. So I picked up a few out power out of leadership. Hope Im going in the right direction. All the guides I read seem really outdated. Has their been many changes or are guides from I5 and 6 still correct. I dont want to copy anyones spec, my questions are mainly with how many and what enhancements to put into powers. I guess I made a big noob mistake and 5 slotted speed burst with endurance mod enhancements. Someone in my party was laughing at me and screaming about DR or ED or something like that. Guess I better do some more research.. Meanwhile, Im gonna try a FF/? and see if I like that playstyle.. Im worried Im going to have an anuerism from my Kinetic

Also, with my FF/? is their any secondary that is better or is it pretty much all playstyle?

Like the post says, Im new to the game and have always preferred playing a support class. Is Kin/Rad too difficult to learn the game with or would I just end up being frustrated? Thanks for any advice and please be gentle.. I am new here.
