  1. Nice, most people know that MMs can solo AVs fairly easy compared to some other ATs, but nice job as always. Ive taken out most or all of those AVs on my Thugs/Poison too, you should try the last mission of the highest level Ouroboros SF where you fight all the Heroes one after another, that was pretty damn hard (except the Spider helped kill Synapse 2 and Statesman for me :P). Really, the only Hero that I CANT solo is Luminary. I dont know what it is about her, but she just uses Whirling Hands and anyone it hits almost dies (I wish MY Whirling Hands was that good...). Ive heard she is a fairly easy Hero from some people, but on the 2 or 3 mishes Ive found her I had to downgrade her to EB form...
  2. Wow... and I thought I had a good way to make inf....

The best part about Confuse in PvP is watching Sergeant Shootemup set up his Device fortress. Cast Confuse on him and laugh as all his mines send him flying across the horizon, with a little Pokemon-style twinkle when he blasts off again.

That line made me get Decieve again on my Controller (I had to drop it for Acro), but I couldnt find anything to switch it for

Anyway, great guide... I think Im going to go make a Mind/NRG Dom now xD
  5. This is sweet

And maybe one of the Merchant ones could give you a reduction on your fee for the BM.

At levels (18-32) your arsonist is not the smartest guy in the world. He has a tendency to run off into melee. This is due to he only has two attacks Molotov Cocktail and Brawl. After the L32 upgrade he has a full ranged attack chain and his inner pyromaniac really takes over. The days of running into melee are pretty much over.

Hmm... my arsonist has a breath of fire-type attack (Edit: I am level 23 ATM), is that a new upgrade for him? And I have to worry about my other thugs getting in melee range more than him, my arsonist just dies because he does too much damage over too big of an area.

Otherwise, great guide. It helped me a lot

oh another question, is stamina as critical for a stalker as other ATs?

    [/ QUOTE ]
Yes. Especially nin/nin. Mine is level 17 with only AS, Sting of the Wasp and Sands of Mu for attacks and he still needs it bad.
  8. This is a great idea and the devs could probably make it work. The devs probably have add different caps for different archtypes. For example, each point added to a controller's damage attack does 80% of what a point on the same attack for a scrapper would do, but a hold point would do 120% of a scrapper's point. Or a scrapper has a range cap around the range of impale, while a blaster could have a range cap of a sniper attack. They would also have to do the same to the other attributes. All of the ATs would probably have the same accuracy cap, though.

What I do in situations like that is I get them to send me a tell, then hit backspace to get their name. Replace the /t with /i, and get rid of the comma, and you're golden. Makes setting up PUGs less painful, since some people are atrocious spellers or have odd names.

Anyways, nice guide; didn't know you could do that.

Or if somebody tells you their name, you look for them on the /search screen, then click invite.
  10. A great guide, however i have another strategy:

All you need is a /Rad controller (Ill/Rad preferably, or you can use a defender, but an ill/rad controller is preferred because of the pets), and a couple damage dealers. Next, fill ur insp slots with half lucks (the bigger the better) and the other half greens (again, the bigger the better), or you [u]can[u] get rid of a couple greens or lucks to fit in some blues, but when i did these i had no need to. [u]MAKE SURE THE RADIATION TOON HAS LINGERING RADIATION AND SOME YELLOWS[u]!!!!!!! Especially after the major hp regen-boost for AVs after I7, lingering radiation is absolutely necessary if you want it to be a quick and clean fight, due to the regen debuff (which does a great job cutting down the regen) and the recharge debuff (to keep Alpha Strike from activating again). Now you're ready to fight.

Step 1) If you have a controller, send in the pets (PA first for Ill controllers)
    2) Have everyone pop off 5 or so lucks.
    3) Have the Rad toon use some yellows (not all of them, in case the battle lasts for a while) use lingering rad, then the rest of the debuffs.
    4) Keep attacking the AV , popping of more lucks when the first run out, and using yellows with lingering rad when it wears off.

I have managed to kill off at least 3 AVs with my Ill/Rad Controller using this strategy, with less than three people for each. Me, a blaster and a scrapper managed to kill off the clockwork king in less than 1 minute (possibly even 30 seconds). This is a very great strategy if you can acually manage to find a Radiation toon (TwinBlades is mine on Pinnacle server, i would be happy to help most of the time, although i may require a SK like i did on the Clockwork King because my toon is only 33), but Steel's strategy works extremely well (ive tried it with my 43 blaster) if you cannot manage to find a Rad toon.

Here's another sort of pull for those with Snipes: The Sliding Snipe.

First off, you need a snipe that has a couple of interrupt reduxes slotted. What these do for you is that they make the later part of the snipe uninterruptible.

What you do is you line up your snipe and fire it off. Then, about 2 seconds into the animation, you run sideways to break LoS. Just as in the Bunny Hop pull, you should shoot through intervening walls to hit your target, who should then be forced to run up to you before being able to retaliate. You could wait for him to come, or you could wait a little while then queue up another attack and step out to finish him off.

If there is no cover, you could instead step backwards to gain distance. This pull works better than the Bunny Hop for my Archery hover-blaster, since I don't have to come down to ground to pull this one off.

Hm. The unfortunate pun was not intended.

    [/ QUOTE ]

This is also possible to pull off with no interrupt reduxes, but you have to time it exactly right, and its a bit trickier.
