Quote:Yeah, like a toggle power the reduces your def due to you focusing on destroying his TP equipment. but, with a few sucessful hits, it's destroyed.Seriously. After the second or third time Maelstrom did that to me, I wanted a mission where my character learns from this experience and works out a way to prevent it from happening the next time, then savors the look of shock on un-teleported-to-safety Eddie's face for a moment before smashing it in.
(Also, I want my player teleport to have his teleport effect. It's so much less lame.) -
Quote:I want the speed buff of SB and AM ... what I don't want is to run 70 MPH in mission ... this would also apply to the speed of SS, SJ, inertial reduction. I want to have control of my speed is what it comes down to.sb/am doesnt have to add speed if you turn it off at null the gull (is not global but per toon)
can also play stone armor can very easily control your speed lol
Null the gull says ... Drive your car 140MPH or walk ... which would you like. IT's stupid. Give me, the player, the contol I SHOULD have. -
I would like a slider setting in options to be able to control my top speed, on for missions, and one for global,. So I don't have to go out and buy an analog controller. Again, please make a slider in the options settings to give a cap movement speed. in RL, my cars top speed is 140 ... doesn't mean that's the ONLY speed it can go. In RL, I can choose to run full speed, jog, or walk. give us that control please. it would be beneficial for the Dev's as well. For esample: there was a Dev event where we were to go help find his GF in the cemetary and he had to put his toon on walk (he stated this in chat) because 10+ kins and rads hit him with SB and AM.
P.S. Please fix follow in normal missions so that you can hit them as you follow them. I understand why you can't do this in PVP, but no clue why for missions. Specially since the recent SSA EBs keep trying to flee ... ANNOYING
Sorry, can't seem to delete the previous post. I needed to correct the Title and couldn't. -
BTW ... Dev's have been robbing heros of victories for a long time. The first time I saw a boss or EB TP themselves out of a fight ... I felt robbed of a victory. Why couldn't I catch the bad guy and the cops fail to keep him. That happens in comics ALL THE TIME.
Stupid emergancy TP ... I want one if the EBs get one. Debt save. -
Quote:you do realize that power syphon would only buff if kin attacks are used ... right?I agree with the concept. Not sure if weapon type secondaries will work to well due to the redraw issues.
Super Strength, Kinetic Melee (power siphon on a blaster would be great!), Martial Arts, Street Justice might all port over to blaster manipulation sets.
Agree with you that sonic and radiation manipulations would be nice. As ArticFahx said the heavy buff/debuff sets probably would not make it as blaster sets.
blaster powers w/SS rage would be OP ... they would probably SERIOUSLY nerf rage if it was to be ported to blasters.
if you want a blaster with def secondaries ... make a corruptor ... Why are we even bringing those up? -
if they won't "remove" the two leg concept, just make the legs replaceable or coverable by smoke. When your leg swings out for a kick, have a pillar of smoke makes that action ... Same concept could apply to electricity, fire, ice, energy, etc.

There's nothing villainous about using power you discovered ... unless it makes you or requires you to be or do evil things.
I'll be vary surprised if they kill of one of the 4 main sig heroes that the power pools would be based on. manticor, sister psy, synapse, positron. All the others are just extra and wouldn't have powers based on them. -
Just because I want the option, doesn't mean I would use all of them at once ... just those that apply.
it would be cool to add a barcode to the back of a bald head. or to hand signifying the magics power.
OOH OOH OOH ... add a glow affect to them ... YAY -
Quote:FYI: you don't quote the whole post if you're only going to comment on ONE part of it. so, kindly comment on "Options 2" since you sited it.Uh, that sounds more like Villainside content.
"What? An offer of power in exchange for letting a villain go? SURE. I love me some blastiness, pow pow, oh he robbed a bank again? Well now I have more pow pow to stop him!"
Quote:Simple solution that plays off of current story: Whoever is killed in the Signature Story Arc, the other Phalanx members believe this could have been prevented if they had spent more time sharing their knowledge with Supers in training, so several volunteer to offer training. Four step forward and offer arcs as a test, those that pass the test get access to the Hero pools.
Obviously who offers what is dependent on who is still alive post Who Will Die, but again, easy to theme things per hero.
We already established that heroes don't have time to train. BUT, my idea for positron to have made an AE training mission arch based on the 4 sig heroes would meet the need. -
I just had an epiphany.
Options 1: Why not have a hero arch that sends you to capture one of the villains, in exchange for their release, they are willing to teach you the basics of thier power set so you can more easily defeat their minions.
Option 2: The story arch could be as you're hunting them you find training material, the last mision you are at their traing center waiting till thier alone to attack. you fight they escape, but you found the last information needed to unlock the PPPs -

Also add the COT ghost bottoms to the list. Meaning no legs, just smoke.
Add a SS running effect like a cartoon running. with the legs a blur -
back of cape, back of character, back and front of head. and on the hands.
Along with the ability to select them on all the above listed. Would go well with magic based concepts.

And for those that like to stealth past enemies ... They should have let you be able to. but then, when you get there and realize she was dead already, you should have had to fight 2 AVs at the same time, or fight the first guy to escape. They need to fix that, where if you stealth you get ambushed by the guys you skipped.

To those that think a hero would try to save Ms. Liberty and skip the missles, you're sadly mistaken. A hero does what is right for the innocent, the vigilante does what he's paid to do. Saving millions is the hero thing ... saving who he's paid to protect is the vigilante

I DON'T want hero equivilents of villain. I want them to be unique to the signature heroes. [Hero unique] [global epics] [villain unique] They might have similarities, but be mostly different.
Again, DON'T copy, paste, and reskin villain epics. that would be stupid. If you want a "goodie too shoes" toon to have a villain epic, then RP you're going under cover to discover an evil plot and came back with this new knowledge. Same applies the other way. -
In any case, they are called "signature" summons. If they aren't listed among the signature heroes/villains ... then they won't be added ... Though, I agreee it would be cool.
I want numina. ;D

Quote:For starters gladiators armor is expensive because it’s a rare set, NOT because it’s an OP buff. The +3% def proc that is lower sells for around 30 mill not 2 bill. Furthermore; the regen and recovery procs sell for 80-150 mill. Substantially more expensive. I know many People that would buy a +HP proc before a +def proc.A passive 5% defense bonus to everything, costing zero power choices and zero slots, is a HUGE buff, FAR stronger than +5% hp, because of the above-linear returns on defense. Remember, people spend billions of influence for 3% more defense from the Gladiator's Armor unique, and that takes a slot.
That being said … /signed
on a +3% def accolade
+3% res accolade
+2% def/res accolade.
Side note. Resistance is the most diffecult buff to get There is only one set that offers a proc and it is a PvP set selling for 2mill. It would be nice if they gave another option like this to help with that. -
I doubt they would add her to heroes or any of the AVs to villain Because we don't work for/with any of them. She's a group leader not a hero or villain specifically.
Though, I do find it aggrivating that it only tells you "support" when you're looking at these signature ally. I was thinking numina or sister psy ... who did they give me ... crappy manticor [mad face] -
Quote:"rational/organized thought' was not meant as a insult. I like all the concepts, and would just like to know the results. The one I was most interested in was the Psychology of a Super Villain. :P That one I would like to know what your full thoughts were.I bolded the names of the badges that I thought of. I can see the difference clearly on my end, though I apologize for the confusion.
I'll go back and highlight them better so that my rational/organized thoughts are more clear.
Also as an addendum, I'm not going to attach effects to the suggested names for day jobs because the stuff people have suggested in this thread is ridiculous and overpowered.
If you simply must have something after a colon before you're willing to read it, then simply add this:
Day job here: Logging out at this location grants you the "Superamazing" day job power, which lasts up to a total of two hours. While this day job power is in effect, you just lost the game. -
Quote:Your tier 9 "ring" doesn't work. My dad has a constant ringing in his ears, know what it does to him, wakes him up at night. So, the sleep affect wouldn't happen. YAY, now you have a freed up sleep effect to use as a toggle. :PActually you can put damage in a sleep(IE. Sirens song, mesmerize) that's why there's the .25 second delay, as to not wake the target.
There's already an ST sleep (tier 1) and a pulsing AoE sleep patch(tier 9). Anymore would be to much. Like I've said already, having 2 AoE mez's of any kind in a set is unprecedented and would be overpowered.
But, your powerset can work however you want it to.I will play by faith that every power set is possible in the CoH world.

Why has this not ben pinned yet. It has more than enought posts and views. It doesn't seem right.
-
if you are a vigilante and go to the rogue isles, open the contacts and try to start the SSA. it still forms the TF for hero side, even though you're in villain. Please fix it so it forms for the correct location.
-
Quote:For starters, you can't put a sleep in a damage power ... they would immediatly wake and waste the sleep effect. so, just remove the first sleep effect and apply it to the [toggle] PBAoE. Then the -dam is even less reliable then +res. Or just replace the -dam with a chance to hold seeing that the siren's song is supposed to turn those that hear it to stone anyway. We've already talked about the double sleep in the powerset: thats a no go. Also, sonic is all about manipulating resistence. +def would be to strong to use on this guy, too. Resistence is less reliable on squishier AT's. We've also already talked about how Reverberating aura might be to powerful as is.
And for the ghost thing, this could be explained by special sound waves being produced to bounce off of their ectoplasm. Energy can bounce off of energy.
I'll let the sound bouncing off ghosts go, cause you can punch the ghosts too ... LOL
