Quote:Quick question. Is the 16 entity buff ceiling still live? I'd figure that it would make the Lore pet call a no-go until it was fixed? The other thing I noticed was that when we hit the wall at around 36% and the call went out for lore pets--the damage dealers I was buffing with fort were +4 already (prior to lights) which I am assuming were due to Ultimate inspirations. When we did the lights round, a number of blasters were +10. He went down fast from 30-10%. So stock up on Ultimates for future attempts! (An interesting note, I wonder if lore pets spawned at +10 as well? I didn't target any and didn't notice.)
Thanks to everyone on that league and Makerian for hosting. Looking forward to the next attempt for the "Really Hard Way" badge. -

Brilliant job all! Look forward to the weekend runs if there's room for me. :-)

I'm a day late, but squeeze me in somewhere dammit? I've had a busy week. =/ Dr. Turgenev, ill/stormie at your service.

First attempt completely *****'d thanks to a buggy queue. I had to AFK after an hour to take care of MiniTurg, and THEN the queue frees up, so I hop in 3/4 of the way thru the Tyrant fight...
We're trying again tomorrow, same time. In fact, just bank on it until we get it. -
Quote:I'm happy to share newsblitzing for your runs and mine (hardly "mine" anyway, all I'm doing is sounding the call). No reason for them to be exclusive, and if it meets everyone's scheduling needs, all the better.I should still be around tonite too, a little torqued, but able to function.
Ill be starting runs with the "pros" around 7:OO EST. -
Figure I'll be around Friday night around 1030pm EDT. Looking for people who'll listen and focus on tasks to get the Master badges done.
Pocket D for the form-up, I'll be floating around DJ Zero for the setup.

I'd "like" to attend, diaper duty permitting.
Dr. Turgenev (ill/storm) if I make it! Thanks for hosting these, E!

People on Justice tell me it doesn't count unless I'm the one that makes the post. -
Quote:Team teleport? Sigh...more stuff to make the game easier for people. You dont even have to travel to missions now. How about getting rod of the city entirely and just let us all stand in one room and bring the missions to us. Oh wait you have, its AE.Just so you know where we're coming from.

And the Horde Army grows by +1. Well played, Caliburst.
(Congratulations! Hope the whole family's doing okay!) -
Thanks, I'm fairly proud of my Man Cave. What you're not seeing are the multicolored lights framing the back wall that rotate through all the colors of the spectrum (thank you, IKEA).
All I need is my lava lamp moved to my desk again and I'm set!

Quote:As Necro pointed out: Explores and plaques are easiest to do, and do a lot of the accolade homework for you. Remember, you're red and blue sides are waiting to be found.Hello. I am looking to make a stalker with the release of staff my official main toon. Now I want to start badging because well it's apart of the game and I used to badge on my brute till energy melee got neutered to death .
Any advice on how to begin?
Then I'd do the singular badge missions from Ouroboros, just to get 'em outta the way.
I'd do the TF/SF badges at this point, since it'll help you for the next category...
Then I'd work on defeats - going from lowest level to highest, just for speed's sakes. By now you should have a lot of grinding done for most of the badge defeats.
If you haven't gotten them by now at this point, I'd focus on accolades, just to get the free powers.
PVP is your next step. You can do them legit, or you can team with a buddy to grind 'em out. Gladiator grinding wraps into this too.
The next steps are up to you. Ouroboros difficulty grinding is irritating. So's the crafting (although it has direct in-game benefits) grinding. You might wanna just leave those on the side and "get them" naturally, or prioritize other singular badges to get over with (the various Master badges, for instance).

Casa del Turgenevo (click image for full size)
The room is the same as it was when I set it up a few years ago; just upgraded the PC to a Dell XPS 8100, and on the far right wall I have Mark Smylie's "Artesia: Adventures in the Known World" original painting, framed nicely (image is here).
Oh, and I moved the Poang IKEA chair from the corner to the baby's room for now 'til we're no longer bottlefeeding. ...dreading the milk stains on that one. Huzzah. ;P -
And I'm spent. 1358. Now back to diaper changings 'til Issue 23.

Thanks for the inclusion. I'm fairly sure I can attend this run (but I may have an AFK or two for baby duty, so YMMV). My chosen toon for this can be team AT dependent, but if I have a choice, it'd be Blackest Light (Warshade).
See you Saturday! Hope I get to do these runs regularly again! -
Quote:Timeshifting the EOE harvesting doesn't add work, it just changes the order in which you do work. Not one iota of extra energy is wasted here; you just have the benefit of a 100% guarantee that there are monsters to harvest. The suggestions you are making fail to address the problem of (currently) having to make extra preparations when, in the past, that preparation has been done as part of the raid as a whole.
Here's a real world analogy for you. Toilet paper.
Quote:You head to your toilet after eating a bucket of popcorn, sit down, and making elimination preparations. You look over and realize, hey, I'm out of toilet paper AGAIN? C'mon! Why does this always happen to me?!
Your choices here:
1. Write your mom and ask her who keeps taking the toilet paper, and either to enforce an "always supplied" policy for the bathroom, or to find out who's using the toilet paper and write them a strongly worded letter of complaint, and hope they'll change their ways.
2. Be proactive, and leave a spare roll atop the tank.
Be proactive. Get that extra roll of toilet paper, and run your EOE harvests after the raid, instead of before the raid. -
Re: Deadly/Dignified Combatant: You can SORTA get them the same run. Get one badge by fulfilling the requirement (thereby finishing the mission), then when you exit, abandon the next mission that's autoselected. You can then go back to the previous mission with the trash can and do that set over again without having to start from scratch. Did this last night with positive results.

That's a fair suggestion too, if you have the numbers to lock the Hive and force the 2nd to respawn. Earlier, that might be a problem, tho.

Timeshifting doesn't make you go out of your way, it just changes your order around to your benefit. Set your EOE hunting to immediately after a raid, and you're guaranteed a stock for the next raid. If you gather for a raid and there are monsters? Double bonus right there, but the EOE harvesting you rely on is after the raid, not before.
