It raised all new forms of hell on the forums, Facebook, etc. Zwillinger pulled the discussions and is now trying to retcon the idea with the Devs. The goal was to use a badge to lure off-server players to a populated server in order to do a high load test, under real world conditions, during an event. The public response was less than enthusiastic.

Where the heck did this crap come from that activating your Destiny power is contributing to the lag? I can't even begin to tell you how flawed that thinking is. Might as well tell people that a fire blaster's Rain of Fire or a defender's Shadow Fall causes lag. Maybe we just all take down Hami with the Rocks that are dropped during special events.
I think what really burns me is that you are accusing Lieran of trying to grief the Hami raid. Here's some things we need to get out of the way first...
- Lieran is my friend and I will fiercely defend her against all comers.
- Lieran is one of the most contributing members of the Freedom server that I have ever encountered.
- Lieran is one of the most friendliest and easy-going members of the Freedom server
Now on to what I've got to say. Who in the world are you to threaten to "blackball" anyone from future Hami raids? What divine authority has invested you with the mantle of leadership? I certainly missed that announcement from the Devs.
I've been on this server for over six years now and I've seen all kinds of "griefing" happen during a Hami raid (Section's post has the most beautiful method I've ever been witness to). Monsters spawning, stealth blaster's spamming Confront in a crowd full of squishes, worthless pet spawning...you name it, I've seen it.
I have no idea what your global is or what toons you have on Freedom...frankly, I don't care. All I know is that when players like you start to shout out orders backed up by threats, it brings out the creative in me. I'll do everything in my power to force that wrench between the rusty gears that you call a team.
Sorry if my thoughts seem distracted, I'm doing something more important right now like watching the hockey playoffs. I have no idea what the heck the Caps are doing going down three in the series against Tampa but they need to start playing like the #1 Eastern Conference seed. My Blues never made it so I've got to cheer for someone...I've finished cheering for Boston as they have already eliminated the Habs and I've been feeling patriotic this week.
Man, Tundy must be going nuts right now.
Oh, yeah...I forgot about un-important you. I'm standing by my friend, who I know and trust. You managed to come off as some self-important hack who desires nothing more than to establish your own little "virtual empire" by threat of ostracism. -
Huh, just realized there was a "don't wanna hunt grays" stipulation. If that's the case, hire some mercs to go, hunt, kill Nems.

I still have great luck just leisurely circling the lower portion of PI. YMMV, but if I had to do it, that's where I'd start: Pegging targets of convenience, as I pick off other targets (Zeus Titans, Master Illusionists, etc).

This, really. It's not too hard to get the mish, although you're still waiting on the tip drop through mob killing. If you're impatient, whack lowbies 20+ in bulk. If you want something more profitable, do missions at your skill level (at lvl 50, you'll get your chance drops at purple recipes, incarnate shards, etc).Quote:Originally Posted by Master-Blade
You don't necessarily have to grind through the actual missions. Try dropping the tips and picking up new ones until you get the right missions. Then you wont have to wait for them to expire before trying again either. -

BTW, OP: Regarding leveling up, it's a common request to "power level" to 50. If this would be your first time, I'd recommend against it. Leveling occurs quite speedily these days, so "regular" teaming will get you to the high 40s within the month. For a player reacquainting themselves with the game, I'd go natural the first time out: Get the feel of the game dynamics, the various AT roles, your powersets, time to ask questions as you go, etc, especially if your highest toon was only lvl 10.
You might want to include your global here, or in your signature, to let others know how to find you too. That's the best way to reach people in-game, since you can chat with them no matter what toon they're on, good OR evil.

You're coming back at a good time; starting Tuesday (officially, but it may be delayed if there's a problem), they're combining the server lists for NA and EU, so you'll have a total of 15 servers to choose from, including the UK servers. You can hit either side of the Atlantic now, depending on your time zone and friend availabilities.

Yes, there was a bug that coincided with i20's release that caused some people to lose slots that they'd paid for and others to gain slots that they hadn't paid for.

At least you're only a week ahead of the proper date this time, but it is weird that you got the server slot at a different time than your bugged Vet award. If that's not yet that much more evidence that the Vet awards are forever going to be screwy in this game I don't know what is.
You think there's suppose to be a unique new emote for this Vet power? That's the first I heard about that. Sure it would be cool but I'm not exactly sure that's going to happen. I suppose we'll see - maybe it's buried in the upcoming patch as an "undocumented" feature.
