welcome back Newt, looking forward to working with you again!

"cough cough, check your avatar link cough cough"
I had another idea, not for the competition parse, but for something that might be a nice touch ingame, I'll finish off the concept art and post it up here - perhaps a certain artwork redname might notice and like it for use elsewhere -
yeah I'm thinking that too, would prefer to avoid resubmitting as I'm sure its one submission per person!!!
-
-
I'd like to think my idea is awesome, implimentation might let it down though... I however went vertical with my idea, DOH! nevermind, hope the concept shines through!!!
And thanks for the reply David -
Purposely stocked EoE from the 6 year anniversary GM fights, should I not be able to attend, please consider these stocks availiable to you.
My GPU issue is resolved and I hope to be right alongside you all again in the hive!!! -
Points well made of course as always, just nice to have a balance in situations like this. I would sincerely hope that everyone can be involved in future competitions of course!!!
I would also hope that any assistance offered for peoples entries would be remembered should that person win, but it is a put of a punt based on whether that person is feeling heroic or villainous. If someone helped me with an entry, I would sure as hell make sure their assistance was known, but I do appreciate that not everyone is like that.
Still, here's hoping to hear back on my other question as well, I would like to think the reasoning behind my entry was obvious, I do have a failure in overthinking things though...
perhaps I should just stick to massacring Rikti troops.... -
It's nice to be able to air these issues around the forums of course, but I would ask the everyone remember the days when it was only NA that could enter. The marketing team have done an amazing job getting the other territories and countries involved.
Every competition thread descends into exclusion discussion, and I would imagine its quite discouraging for the teams that organise these competitions.
To those that sadly cannot enter, apologies but I would suggest encouraging those that can enter with your ideas, because if you cant directly make a mark in CoH, do it indirectly!
Back on topic however, and this one's for David. I entered a full poster design with non serif lettering, I would hope the intent of the poster was obvious, but was wondering should I send a second email in explaining the thought process behind the poster? -
try and avoid HTML code in missions as it can conflict with the scripting for the text YOU see in the architect window. Use the provided color tints for the most reliable effects.

I would seriously like to know how people amass 4 billion influence in the first place, some of these prices are just insane. I refuse to pay anything over 100 mil for ANYTHING ingame.

Badgehunting is a great pursuit, I enjoy it a lot and will always indulge in activities that help other badgehunters, even if I've already got the badge. If you don't enjoy badgehunting, then don't do it, but also please don't put down those that do badgehunt because everyone can enjoy CoX in their own way within the limitations of the engine and intent of the various game systems.

Alas no pictures I'm afriad, tech issues with graphics atm
but it was a huge amount of fun, my thanks to everyone that took part and made it enjoyable! -
my pleasure fella, overall raid success always takes place over debt/slots etc with me
as for my tech issues, its definately my GPU, have done a windows re-install and retested it, same thing. Running on a temporary GPU so will have to try and compensate for that during the events of this week whilst trying to fight as my normal crazy self! -
had a bit of a mare evening with this, no fault of anyones though.
Managed to get into the Hive after first Mito bloom, only to find I'd inadvertantly locked out Sgt! So after hastily leaving to let him back in, I saw this super speed blur whizz past, which I though was the Sgt himself.
I zone back in a few minutes later and alas he's still locked out!!!
so eventually, after swapping places with Sgt succesfully, someone leaves and I get a place with Seph and the scrappers, all is well and despite taking a few downs, I'm happy to be raiding again.
Then my bloody monitor shuts off, problem with my new £250 bloody ATI card! Still had sound in the background so was still logged in, but the computer itself is shot
So here I am, posting at work, computer in bits trying to figure out whats wrong.
Still, was great to be raiding again, even for only 2 Mito's so I look forward to future raids, successful or not, to be with you all again. -
still trying to Zone in
-
I just had an 8800gts burnout during a windows driver update, might be an issue where updated drivers are forcing a command that certain cards cant do!
2 days and £300 later I'm back with a new ATI card as putting my Nvidia into another machine yielded the same artifacting as my machine, so I knew it was the card. -
Work and RL willing I hope to be attending as well. Will check in with the usual channels for EoE farming and pre-raid activities.
-
I never really got psyched up about most MMO expansions myself until City of Heroes that is, the dev team have always added features rather than just new areas, which interests me more than just "oh look, another continent full of goblins"
-
sounds like a plan, I'm working through a lot of arcs at the moment. Gimme a shout ingame if you seem me online @TsumijuZero
-
Head into the channels function and join Union Chat and Sals Badgehunters and say hello ingame, or send me a tell @TsumijuZero if you are getting stuck anywhere. Union is a great place to start out and I hope to see you around sometime!

There are currently a few main endgame objectives that can be had...
- Mothership Raid - both Hero and Villain's 35+ can assault the Rikti Mothership together to earn Influence and Vanguard Merits (used to purchase costume options and temporary powers)
- Hamidon Rad - Hero's or Villain's can attack the Hamidon, a large Devouring Earth creature. Characters 45+ can participate in this assault, taking several hours to complete. If successful you are rewarded with Hamidon Enhancements.
- Ouroboros - Players can repeat completed, or missed missions to earn rewards.
- PvP at all levels - endgame PvP is usually considered fighting in Recluses Victory - A future Atlas Park where hero's and villain's fight for control of the future.
Additional endgame content is coming, but with the exception of proposed "Incarnate" levels, has yet to be disclosed. -

I'm glad to see people are already up for this!
With any luck (and these are assumptions) we might encounter some Giant Monsters of some description that we can en mass gank, but doing a PvE invasion of an opposing dimension, GM's or not still sounds quite appealing!
I would forsee that the bridge between Praetoria and Paragon would be either:- Level 40-50 with decreasing combat levels towards the civilian areas of Preatoria, to encourage Preatorian characters to leave at 20 and then return at higher levels.
- level 20 with increasing combat levels of PvE opponents the nearer we get to Tyrant and or / DE enemies.
In both cases it would be quite fun to enter and treat it as an invasion of sorts! -
As we all know, Going Rogue will add several new areas to explore in the alternate universe Praetoria. Normally when expansions or major changes are added to CoX, we normally get a little bit of PvP action, or an event to mark the changes.
Such as..- Villain Players got to take on the Freedom Phalanx in the CoV beta
- Hero's and Villains alike fought for control of Sirens Call when it was opened
- Hero's stood firm in the CoH beta against the initial Rikti Assault
Now I'm fairly sure that Going Rogue will be no different, and while facing off against the Preatorians will be an amusing prospect, I'm also thinking that perhaps finally we might get to take the fight somewhere else instead of always being on the defending side.
So what I'm conjuring in my mind, is a nice healthy invasion of Preatoria. Lots of 50's led by Union's finest and maddest combatents! Think of it as an armed exploration, hopefully with lots of banter and radio chatter across Skype or voice comms.
No prizes parse, but will give us plenty of war stories to chat about and those sadly not lucky enough to be in the Beta, will hopefully get some experienced allies to fight alongside on their first exploration of the new areas.
Volunteers, ideas and discussion are welcome! -
I'm thinking that Incarnates will require some "well of the furies" schenanigans as a task force or personal trial. With Cimerora availiable, they could really throw in the Greek Mythology heavy, plenty more temples etc to perhaps find the "Original" well of the furies?
