Quote:If you're aiming for Tier 4s, obviously it's going to be difficult to get more than one tree. But getting more than one Tier 1 is far easier.i would craft more than 1 tree if it wasnt such a grind, i usually only pick 1 tree and stick with it and wont ever swap it out due to the annoying swapping rules + the fact its a huge grind to get the tier 4s unless the reward table favors rare components or you have a LOT of inf to spend

Quote:When they get it done. Each power has to be redone by hand, so it's a rather time-consuming project. It's also not a priority at the time, but it is something they want to do.When are they going to let us customize the colors on these? Just curious and hoping soon!
This is the exact (or at least approximately) the same difficulty. -
Or you could always do something crazy like pick up a travel power...
-
Well, you can either sit here whining about it and hoping the devs change it (hint: It's probably not going to happen, since you can change it yourself), or you can use the tools they provided to take care of what bothers you yourself.

This needs to be put in big flashing lights on the launcher. I've probably seen this asked 100 times over the past few days.

Quote:Use /cleartray. Problem solved.During respecs please for the love of god do NOT dump all the temp powers into the trays. the sorting is really annoying. Primaries Secondaries Pools PPP/APP Incarnate Accolades and veteran powers only. If we want one of the zillions of temps we all have let us put it in the tray.

You can't yet, but what I've been doing is just not picking Fitness powers, and then not using any slots I'd use on the Fitness powers. It's not *quite* the same as if it was built in...but it works well enough for me.

Bizzare scenarios nothing. I don't know where it's been.

getting a second competitor
That, and people on this forum have the tendency to turn even changes that most everyone sees as good into DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM, as evidenced by this very thread. -
Really now? I have the box right here, and I don't see a single thing on it that's not in GR.

Quote:The devs never said anything about the market merge never happening. Posi at one point said it was unlikely to happen while the blue and red side economies were so imbalanced...but that's the closest it ever got.But then again, the market merge was never going to happen either so who know.
Powerset Respecification is one of the few things that actually *has* been said to never happen. Power Customization, Market Merger, and all the other things people often quote as "They said it would never happen but here it is!" were all said to be "unlikely" or "very difficult" or the like...but were never said to "never happen". -
Quote:sooooo, you have no problem with them changing things to make them easier to understand/use, but you have a problem with people that would like things changed to make them easier to understand/use.as i said, i have no problem with them adding a tag or fixing the mouse over. what i have a problem with is people who play the "it's to time consumming, i want to be lazy and not learn card".
yeahhhhhh. -
Quote:That's the entire point we've been trying to make! For something as core to the game, and something so straightforward in other places like TOs and IOs, the system used for DOs and SOs should be intuitive, not something you should have to "take time to learn".no i'm not and no i don't. if you(general) pay attention to what you(general) are doing and take the time to learn it
The overall point is not solely changing the icons. That would solve the problem...but so would many other ideas presented in this thread. The idea is to make the stores more intuitive to use, and the SOs/DOs easier to find, however that might be accomplished. -
Quote:I think you're confusing "easier" with "less cumbersome". The game (under the proposed change) doesn't buy the SOs for you. It doesn't slot them for you. All it does is make it slightly easier to tell the difference between the multitudes of similar DOs/SOs.i think what people fail to see is that, while a QoL issue of some sorts, if the game keeps getting easier no one will want to play it.
Quote:if you make them all the same icon, you will now have to rely on the border around the enhancements to tell you if it is a to/do/so/io. wanna know how many people will ***** about that?
Quote:i still find it funny that people are ******** about taking a few seconds to read something also. it doesn't take that much time at all out of your game play.
That's hardly "a few seconds".
As Bubba said so well, "4) The information: this is two extra steps that shouldn't have to be needed. You may say it's a simple two steps (right click, then left click "info") but it is still two more steps." -
Quote:Really? Even with my first toon, I never bought TOs from the vendor...and even if I did, I wasn't in level range for them for *that* long. Especially today, getting to level 12 is a breeze, and a great deal of people, even new people, just ignore TOs altogether. How is "They're always in the same order" hard? Especially when you see Trainings for so long that tell you what they are before getting into the RP names or whatever you want to call them?
Besides which...where in the game does it *tell* you that the order is always the same? Where does it even hint at that? It's a huge list, and if you didn't know that beforehand, it's not immediately obvious. The names and icons are all changed, it's not that big of a stretch to think the order may have as well. I know it was quite a while before I realized the order was the same.
Quote:so yeah, lets standardize everything in the game so people can just get their hands held and lead through the game instead of having to figure things out for themselves.
Quote:just a simple, fix the mouseover bug would have sufficed, but a couple people wanted to scream bloody murder so they could continue being lazy.
And yes, fixing the mouseover bug would suffice...but presumably they've been working on that, and for whatever reason haven't been able to fix it. So this is an alternate suggestion that would also serve to facilitate telling the difference between DOs and SOs. -
Quote:So, this is basically "Screw making things easier and more straightforward, I did it the hard way and so can you!"no one is asking you to remember the names. they all are listed in the same way no matter what origin you have. and again, you can right click on them and select info if the tool tip isn't working correctly. thats the joy of reading things. it teaches you what things are so you can learn them and remember them.
Yes, the system can be gotten used to. I did, you did, and most of the other people in this thread did. But why not make it easier to do so? -
Quote:For every enhancement type you need? For every single toon you have? For all the different origins you cover? You have *got* to be kidding. Or exceptionally *lazy.* Right click once if you're not sure. Write it down if your memory is so bad. Never have to do it again.
So you want someone to have a chart sitting on their desk telling what every single DO and SO name translates into?
You'd think someone could come up with an easier solution... -
Quote:Read what...the name? Since tooltips are busted, and right-clicking, as has already been said, can be clunky and time-consuming...that must be what you mean.yes, yes. heaven forbid someone actually read something to understand it rather then just look at it.
So tell me...what does Military Insight enhance? How about Dragon Flurry? -
So you really expect people to memorize all 26 enhancement types in alphabetical order, and count through them to figure out where the one they're looking for is?
Listen...I agree that once you get used to the system, it can be worked through. What's being asked for is something to make getting used to the system a little bit less of a hurdle. Color isn't an option, due to possible color-blindness. Names aren't an option due to ambiguous names. And until they fix the tooltips, right-clicking is clunky and time-consuming. Now, whether this would be an easy fix or not obviously isn't known...but it at least merits consideration, in my opinion. -
...
I must be typing in invisible ink or something.
Quote:... and they're also alphabatized. -
Quote:So now you're backpedaling. Bravo.yes there is if you right click on the enh and select info...
And since you obviously missed *those* sentences too, right-clicking is a clunky and time-consuming way to go about it...especially if you don't get what you're looking for right away.
Some people don't like using IOs. Some people don't use IOs until 50. Some people don't use them on alts. Some people wouldn't touch them with a 39-and-a-half foot pole. IOs are completely optional. Just because there's another thing out there, that doesn't mean we should forget about SOs completely. -
A) He's color blind.
B) There are too many colors and too subtle of differences for that to be a good indicator for some of them.
Quote:Kind of the point of TOs, after all, is to "train" you.
Quote:so what is wrong with putting your pointer over the enh and reading it? you haven't addressed that yet. at least in a way that we've described.
BECAUSE THERE IS A LONG-STANDING BUG THAT MAKES THAT NOT WORK.
Since you've obviously ignored the several times it's been said so far, maybe you'll see it this time. -

I do agree with you that the Kahn TF has the tendency to become quite tedious. I'm not sure that reducing his HP is the solution...but something would be welcome. Your idea of doubling the number of AVs has merit...if they could work them in without making it seem off.
