How about something simple like a lvl limit per zone. Atlas is good till u hit lvl 6 then you move to Kings Row AE. This way it's not focused in one zone.

Of course then u need to be in certain zone to run a certain lvl mish in AE....prolly more chaos than it's worth in the long run..

and eliminate sk'ing? one of the flagship technologies of the game? Just so you can try to force people to play with you?

    [/ QUOTE ]

You seem to keep making this about me. I have no problems teaming. The suggestion was not to stop SKing, but to make it zone specific for the AE. But as I mentioned it would cause more problems than it's worth.

Not sure where exactly I said I had trouble finding a team....I remember saying that I get invites to join a team when I am not looking for one.

If people wanna farm, to each his/her own. I don't go around reporting farmers. I also don't go around trying to ruin a farm. How about a little courtesy back? That is my problem with all this...

I get tells to fill every 5 mins. I get invites to join farms if I have a lvl 50 with a resume that they feel will fit their farming needs. All while on not looking for team. If I wasn't getting constantly bombarded every time I play to farm I wouldn't care.

So the solutions I have heard from the farmers is to shut off my broadcast channel, set myself to not accepting invites, and leave my server and find a quiet place to hide while they play. How about no. I am not being chased away, just looking for a way to co-exist.

It is the new flavor. It will die down a bit like all the other issues when they were released. I will ignore the tells. I understand all that. How about some courtesy though? Not looking for team, is not looking for team. Putting in your search comment 'non farmer or not a filler' also seems to draw lots of invites to do those things anyway. Is that too much of a compromise?

You know, its amazing. I have a number of friends that I fill for regularly. I get a fill request from someone maybe every week or so. You must be a wonderful guy to have so many hold you in such regard. All these people single you out for fill requests and the rest of us hear nothing. Wow, sucks to be you.

Yes, on Freedom server. Are u kidding? Show up in Atlas Park one and stand there with a lvl 50 and see how long it takes. Come in with a lowbie and get invites to farm constantly. Maybe you don't have the right build to get the invites or are on another server...

  5. Also what you can do with the tixxs have changed things. 9,999 tix = about 29 Defic weapons... Now the good chips/recipies have come down in price, basic salvage has gone through the roof because of no drops in MA, and getting any kind of a proc is gonna cost millions more than it already did.

If you can get those very rare salavage pieces easier than with merits, haven't we devalued the merits a bit? I can roll more value in less time with the MA then running a good TF. Only difference is the better chance of getting a purp drop in a TF.

The DEVs want you to be able to get to 50 in the MA. No prob with that. Only thing I can think of is limiting the level variation on SKing. Make the SK be within a certain lvl of the mentor to be SK in the first place. But those who don't play that way will be nerfed. Perhaps the answer lies in the rewards earned not the xp gained, at least to start with.
  6. I love what I can do with the MA. I think too many people were expecting it to be more like the base editor, but it does what it's supposed to do. Great tool to add, lots of fun!

I think we would benefit from a 'searching for AE missions' check option. We have them for things I never see people using (like looking for patrols or arena).

The AE building in Atlas Park is difficult to work with. It's too easy for people to lvl from 1 to 50 in a few hours and never leave the starting zone. Not to mention the lag and DC's and farming invites. Perhaps adjusting the sk rules on MA mishs? Taking away content from the MA will make it lose value.

The increase in farming is annoying. My Emails have tripled. The broadcast (Freedom server) channel moves so fast in Atlas with lff requests you can't read it.

Teams are now asking for resumes. They need a stone tank or a fire/kin at a certain lvl. Teaming is getting complicated.

The market has gone crazy to me; when a defic weapon was worth 3-4mil and was rare but now can be bought with tickets I can earn in one arc. Same with Pangeon Soil and Sigils etc. You can't even get that with Merits which are harder to get.

I realize these things are worse on my server. I also can ignore all these things and get along with my game, but they do detract from the experience overall. Just add me to the list...
  7. I have seen this also. I noticed that an auto power wouldn't activate till it's previous casting wears off. So if it recharges faster than the effect it will wait.
Also in battle if you are clicking other powers they will cast before your auto. The auto will wait for a break in your chain before acitvating.
  8. Arc #: 87269

Hellions, Skulls, Trolls, and Family (Oh my!). Story driven arc for heroes lvls 2-15. Good solo arc. 5 mishs. Finished in under an hour.

Consider that we have a filter also. So if your first mish is rated 1 or 2 by the first player it could be buried! People will run 4 or 5 star works or non rated ones first. Watch the 1-2 stars become the junk pile....

Here's the current solution: Make a mish, call it: The greatest phantasmagorical CoH mish ever designed if you dare to try it, then get 10 friends/SG to rate it a 5 and watch it go. Especially if you make it a farm...

Ah...well,...it is the new thing. Time will fix all I guess.

Also what might help would be an additional rating. Like rate this mish on these: Imagination and content. Then your ratings would be more accurate. Also the different votes would range you better for your overall score.

    Or something like that....

As I mentioned in another post elsewhere...

Perhaps it would help to have the person running a mish actually FINISH it before they can vote. Right now you can get upset at something in the opening dialogue and quit and rate it. Or I could go looking for threads from people who I dont like (or who rated me bad and left commet) and sabotage their rating....after all the comments come from a gobal handle and your mishs are set to your global...

I suppose you could set it on your SG (number of arc mish) and have your SG enter, leave, and vote a 5 for you. Or you could offer influence for a good rating (enter, quit, 5 stars, get influence).

Example: I spent 36 hours making one of my arcs. Night and day cuz I am off from work. I test ran it and it was good. Only one deadly toon. Someone finally ran it and sent a comment that that one deadly toon was because of ninjitsu secondary making it possible to one shot u. They recommended I change the power or set from LT to minion to fix it. They rated it 2 stars. Ok bad for 36hrs of work...BUT a GREAT suggestion. I respect that because they ran the whole mish and the problem was in the 3rd mish. Since the action got more intense towards the end, someone could vote on the first mish and walk and I wouldn't have the real advice on the mish...
  12. I think they should make the players play the whole arc before they can rate it. Right now I can enter, quit and rate without even reading a word. The votes per hour would go down.
  13. If farming is here to stay and we have to deal with it as people say...

Then why not add a button select on the MA creator to define if it is a story mish or a farm mish. That way you can separate the two. You could have a HoF for Farms and one for stories.

My issue with the ratings is that the 4 and 5 star mishs are alot of farms. I went into a 5 star mish yesterday: outdoor map, like 20 glowies and 20 destructable objects, and all the troops had a melee attack and a web grenade. That's 5 stars?

It seems if you have a badge farm mish or a xp farm mish you have gold. I have had arcs out since day one without a single play just because there are so many available and mine isn't marked as a 'farm'.

I am holding on to the 'be patient' notion. I figure after all the badges are farmed that people will want to try something with a story to it. Not just click 400 items and run in a circle on a map killing 6 bosses and troops with no challenge to them.

That is not to say that there isn't good material out there at 4 or 5 stars. I have found plenty. Nor am I saying that there aren't people out there that give honest ratings. Hell I could run every farm mish and rate 0 stars with a comment that I hate farms. But I try to be fair.... I only hope that all the towns don't turn into PI farm central like they appear to be.

Disclaimer: Yeah I play on Freedom, so I have to expect farm central.. Maybe the devs should just make a farm HoF to solve the problem! LoL....

And a addition to our SG table. The Jacobs ladders add a lightning charge that you can't see too well here. There are 2 jacobs ladders there:

  17. Most frustrating thing is a 'runner'!

Here is an observation question since I know nothing of programming...

I attack a villian. I bring the villian down to a small amount of health. I wait for that 'finishing strike' to charge (like the blinding feint!). Now I strike and miss. The villian runs. It seems the program checks the health of the villian and the time since it got hit last and triggers a run command. BUT....I have noticed that if I stay in one spot the villian either runs to ranged combat or runs away and comes back a few mins later (presumably to the spawn spot the villian was assigned to ). I have seen villians run towards other groups of the same type (ie: a hurt freak running to another group of freaks). This is cool as you chase him and run into his friends!
But wouldn't the villian always come back to the spawn spot if you wait?
