The Centurion watched the dragon soar towards him, a smile appearing on his face that no-one had ever seen before, utter joy.
    "A dragon....now there's a challenge.."
His gaze was caught elsewhere for a moment, seeing a mysterious figure chasing after Pious, looking back at the dragon for a moment he knew he had to abandon the fight to help the Priest.

At first he let himself fall down, then slowly turning in mid air so his head was pointing straight down, he began to rocket towards the ground, picking up incredible speed before bringing his legs up at the last minute, landing in between Shadow and Pious.
He hit the ground with incredible force, cracking it enough to buckle under the pressure.

He slowly rose, bringing his arm up, blade in hand. Aiming it at Shadow he spoke firmly.
    "That's far enough..."

    ...Its over.
When we fail to save the ones we love....that's when its over.

*The recording device is left running as loud banging noises can be heard, some things being knocked about before a door slams shut. The apartment is left mostly empty, a letter to the landlord telling him Andrew has left and wont be coming back.*

A point in the sky seemed to set on fire, bursting outwards as if something had set off a small explosion, streaking forwards until out flew a man with a cape.
The Centurion, one of the Timehunters, has heard the Priests call for help.

Throwing off his cape he let it fall to the ground with a thud, cracking it slightly as if it weighed far more than any normal material would.
One of the dragons saw him floating in mid air, turning it darted directly at him, fangs glaring.
Taking two handles from his belt he activated two laser swords, each shining brightly with a hot white energy. Spinning in mid air as the dragon made for its attack run he aimed his blades for the joints attaching each of its wings to its body.

Yesterday we gained two new members, the first was Rorik, a bird man from another planet, a friend of Rogues apparently from way back.
I'm not entirely sure why he came to this world to aid us but maybe that was all the reason he needed, he simply came to help.

The second was Shining Valkyrie, lovely woman, she'll make an excellent addition to the team....heh.
So the next part of the evening....removing my 'Heart', the power core that Erez'Zul used to seal my essence in, before he stuck it inside my body.
At first I tried removing it myself but the scalpel I used was a bit small and to be honest at the angle I was cutting it would have gotten.....messy.

When Civil came along I asked him to use his swords but he was kinda shocked at the idea, I guess I should explain exactly what I needed to do it for to him before he thinks I'm completely off my rocker.
Eventually I asked Megan to do it, she was a bit worried at first but in the end she didn't even need a knife....really not sure how her powers work but whatever, no pain for me.

Of course I was going to test it out first, removing a chunk of flesh, moving it away from the heart and seeing if it remained stable....but whatever! She got the job done.
With the heart removed my body should remain generally unaffected by the corruption and I should be able to stay strong until the very end.

As for where I stored the heart....its somewhere safe, guarded by someone I trust....Not every day you give your heart away, but I believe gave it to the right person.

Hmmm...Ok things have improved...well...not really but for Liberty Force I mean...not for me, well ok yes for me but...god dammit need to start again...

    *Various clicking noises are heard*

Ah to hell with it I'll do it live...IT SUCKS! hahaha...ahum.
Ok so things are getting better with the team, after so much hassle and trouble, so much pain...Tyrannix is now a member of Liberty Force!
Bloody insane but...it felt right, as we kept him captive he talked about his motivations and I think we all saw something behind his supposedly evil intentions.

He needed a chance, we gave him one and I think it paid off, its been a couple of days and he seems to be doing well, a few ideas of his perhaps need a little toning down when dealing with criminals but...its can work, I believe it can work.

Civil was much more forthcoming as well, his name is Max, he even showed us his face.
Of course he only did this because he thinks someone is going to kill him but....yeah, its something.

I told the team about my condition last night as well, they took it...about as well as can be expected, I don't know...does that mean they took it well or badly? heh, at least that's over.
There's now only one person left to tell, one I feel is important because....well she may be the only one who truly understands what I'm going through regarding my memories and stuff.

Things are going well, Liberty Force is becoming something brilliant....I hope it lasts forever.
  6. *A Personal recording device in the home of The Thunderar*

I suppose this is the end...I started these logs to give myself some sort of clarity, to see how things had progressed over the past few months, and after listening to them again...I can see that nothings changed, nothings gotten better...It was all a waste of time.

When I first joined Liberty Force I decided, against my better judgement, to give it my all, to hold nothing back, and I still feel I kept to that, when asked about anything I answered openly and honestly.
When Rogue decided to leave for his home dimension, something I know now he needed to do to keep his powers, however that works...He put me and Double A in charge, or at least asked us to look after the place for a while.

Admittedly I didn't just 'take charge', ordering people around or anything, but I kept an eye on things.
When Iron Vanguard vanished, while Conall moped around, I tried my best to find out what exactly happened to her, I studied her logs, I asked Adam to try and track her down, a feat beyond even him apparently....

I asked her friends how this could have happened, what type of being she really was, if not human...I received nothing but a wall of secrets.
I trusted my team mates with everything from day one, and got nothing back, Iron still keeps her secrets, staying a mystery, Babel was much more open, yet something troubles her, I can see it in her eyes...Rogue was gone for so long, Conall seems quite loyal but hes headstrong and has said many times he would kill those who hurt his friends....not exactly hero material.

Civil keeps his identity a secret, even from us, and though he dealt with Tyrannix...he sacrificed someone else to do it, something I cannot....will not, EVER condone, and yet he's on this new 'Council of Founders'?!

Yes, another thing to add, Rogue came back and apparently after some talks with Iron came to the conclusion we needed stronger unity within the group, some form of real leadership, I've been saying that for a long time but at least now he was actually acting upon the idea so it didn't matter.

And then he chose the members without any sort of consultation with the group, Civil who is being tried for murder, Iron who keeps secrets from everyone within Liberty Force, even Conall I think...Aerial Assault is the only member I could say would make a brilliant addition to the Council.

Myself and Lady Babel were there from the start yet were also passed over...Rogue thought I was throwing a tantrum last night, that I just wanted to be a part of the leadership and that's why I was upset, double A thought I wanted recognition....All I wanted from Liberty Force, all I've ever wanted...was their trust.

Its not a team, there is no unity, Rogue was wrong to bring us together, to tell us how much better we could be together yet divide us the first chance he got...Its over, my dream of something better is over before it even got started.

    ....
I let him know I'll be there when needed, but it will be alone...It always will be...

Storm smiled and tried to reassure the priest.
"Calm down man, there will be plenty of time for that later, Yes, we know about the invasion, even stopped a few of Emperor Cole's little death squads here and there.."
He looked at the stairs again, becoming a little more agitated.

"We need to get your family to safety, move them out then if needs be deal with the army upstairs, can't imagine our little ruse lasting too long, and once their leader figures out what's gone down we're gonna have a heck of a fight on our hands."

Upstairs the Centurion surveyed the damage to the church, cosmetic at worst, easily fixed. Resting his gaze upon Glittergirl, he turned and looked once more at Price.
Some things however, are not so easily fixed.

Downstairs Storm looked over the three to see if they were ok then let his gaze rest on Pious, a small smile appearing on his face.
"...What took you so long man"

The Centurion Slid his blades back into their hilts. His face remaining emotionless.
"Price...she was a casualty of the battle, understand? What happened was an accident, we'll talk about it more later, once this is over and done with."

Storm mouthed the words "War horns?". Pausing for a moment he moved closer to Pious, turning to address the soldiers now.
"You...were sent here to attack him, why? For what purpose would you want to harm him?"
Storm began connecting the dots in his head.

They knew who Damsel was but saw her as an imposter? And they knew of Pious but even then they said he didn't look like his normal self.
If they worked for who he thought they did, this could either go well for them, or very, very wrong.

Storm was once again stood in awe at the sight before him, the Centurion even managed a slight smile before quickly wrapping his cloak around him, in an instance he vanished and reappeared with the church.
Taking out his swords he drew a line in front with one as he looked at the enemy's around him.
"Who would like to be first?"

Downstairs, the Centurions sudden disappearance had snapped Storm out of his daze.
"Damsel, is there any way out of here other than upstairs? You need to get you three out of here to safety, we can handle this mess."

Cupping his hands together he brought them round to face the stairs, firing a bolt of lightning upwards hoping to hit any intruders coming down.

Storm simply stood silent in awe at the situation before him.
An angel had just appeared before him, telling him to ignore the small army attacking the church and now the angel itself...not something you see everyday really.

"Yeah....I can show you the way."
He didn't know exactly why but he felt an overwhelming urge to trust the entity hovering before him, to believe it really was an angel here to help Pious.

Downstairs the Centurion pressed the side of his helmet, a muffled sound repeated slowly then raised to an audible whisper. He was replaying a particular sentence he had just heard coming from upstairs.
    "Hebrew...what going on up there?"

Storm quickly raised his right hand, his own reflected eye beams hitting a golden energy shield before dissipating.
A thin layer of smoke surrounded his hand, he could feel the heat radiating around it where the beams had hit.
It used to be that he wouldn't have felt a thing.

He looked at his hand for a moment then at his attackers, maybe now was a good time to ask a question or two.
"Why have you come here? What do you want?"

Downstairs the Centurion had finished making his call, he looked down at the unconscious Pious and then at his pregnant wife and young daughter.
He walked towards the doorway, his boots echoing slightly within the room.
Taking out two Impervium Katanas from his back beneath his cloak, he waited and watched for any signs that the intruders were making their way towards the Priest.
No matter what, he would not let them pass.

Storm darted to his right, turning in mid-air he landed on the wall, pushing himself off he once again turned in mid-air and landed on the roof, completely upside down now all in an effort to avoid the attacks aimed at him.

He pushed down now, turning and hitting the ground hard, landing on his feet his hair a tangled mess covering most of his face.
"If you seek to harm anyone here then you are not a good person, if you say I am a hero yet you still attack me, then you are a villain."

Storm brought his head up, looking around at his would be attackers, his eyes burning brightly now as smoke seemed to seep from them.
"And if you are a villain....then you will burn!"
His back arched as he clenched his fists, gritting his teeth his eyes glowed a flash of light before beams of heat erupted from them, firing at his attackers.

Downstairs, The Centurion took out a small device that looked like a type of phone, calling a specific number he sought to get in touch with an unknown source.

In the crypts beneath the church

The Centurion and Storm both looked up, the Timehunter Centurion shaking his head slightly, as if this happened every day and was nothing more than a nuisance. The Nighthunter Storm clenched his fists in anger, golden electricity crackling around his body.

    Centurion looked over at him.
"His fate is uncertain at this time, I may be able to help with this matter"
Storm glanced in his direction as he watched the ceiling as if expecting someone or something to burst through it at any moment.
"No...I'll handle this, stay here and keep guard, less people up there the more I can cut loose"

The Centurion sighed softly, so softly it wasn't even noticeable over the noise upstairs
"Is that really wise in your condition?"
Storm grinned, crouching ever so slightly he had time for one last word before flying up the stairs to face the enemy's inside the church
    "Nope"
The Centurion could do nothing but smile a little as he watched Storm leave.

Storm flew up high in the church, hovering above the ground he looked around and spoke in a booming voice, golden electricity surging wildly around his body, his eyes beginning to glow a bright white light.
"You have but one chance to leave this place, do so now and you will be spared, refuse...and you face a force of nature, me!"

    *Clears throat*
Hmmm, haven't done one of these for a bit now, I should probably put more effort into making this a regular thing.

I started my new job yesterday...working at Portal Corps, field researcher into other lifeforms in different dimensions, live specimens to be brought back with me if safe to do so, otherwise some sort of tissue sample might suffice, though I'm guessing with my powers ill be used more along the lines of bodyguard than anything else, just in case the rest of the research team runs into anything nasty.

The job pays well enough and is quite flexible, little under half my time will be spent off world, the rest of it devoted to paperwork, and as long as that's handed in on time I pretty much have all the time I need to fulfil my duties as a hero and member of Liberty Force.

Speaking of jobs, Lady Babel.....Donna, was interested in getting one, I guess she's becoming more used to being in this time period, she also mentioned something about her powers and Iron that needs a little more exploration to it.
Not much else really, we had a nice chat about some things, she...she....

*A long pause is followed by a sad sigh*

I was sat in Pocket D again, I keep going there night after night, thinking she might just waltz in as if nothing even happened, I heard she had woken up from her coma, Adam tells me she's living with Sarah...I don't think I have the nerves to face her after what happened...neither does he.

Tonight reminded me of her, tonight was like it used to be, but I really have no idea whether that's a good thing, or a bad thing...
  16. *A Personal recording device in the home of The Thunderar*

I found myself having a disagreement with Conall the other night, Lady Babel, Conall and Iron Vanguard had met the shape shifter, Conall and Iron decided to pursue him but he got away, the thing that worried me was that he had more powers than just shape shifting.

Apparently he had some sort of ice powers and, as they described it, some form of power draining ability, maybe that's how he takes the form of others? Something to explore.
So once again it seems Conall was hurt, maybe its nothing, maybe he'll recover in minutes and this is just a normal thing for him...but I seriously have a problem with the idea of relying on your powers to such an extent that being shot means nothing to you.

The shape shifter knows Conall is werewolf, and if he's as dangerous a foe as double A's intel says he is, he'll know to bring silver bullets next time when facing Conall.
So the argument began when I became a bit too annoyed with Conall getting hurt so much, I shouldn't have become so angry over it but...my past is seriously screwing with my head, or was, maybe....I hope the past tense is appropriate here.

I've reinvented myself, I realised that everything about my past was affecting my future, memories that aren't mine, past situations that have gone horribly wrong for me, and yet...it doesn't necessarily mean it will go wrong for them....I'm rambling.

So, haircut, new clothes, new heroic costume and a new determination to become more than I was, I'm not just someone's shadow any more, my names Andrew Scott, the new and improved Thunderar.

    .......
Additional, I've applied for a job at Portal Corps as a researcher, studying new species that are discovered through the different dimensions. I decided to apply after Polar Chill and myself helped out one of their employees, travelling through a few dimensions in an effort to learn more of Emperor Cole's plan for this world.
I'm actually quite confident ill get the job, but hey....time will tell.
  17. *A Personal recording device in the home of The Thunderar*

The day goes well, the Liberty Force base is steadily being built into something quite wonderful, our team seems to be connecting better each day, and on a more personal note, I'm getting the hang of my powers again, it feels like such a long time since I used them....then again it technically is.

Unfortunately today was not a perfect day, I've had a few calls with Adam, I still cant seem to meet with him face to face...His memories continue to flood my mind, flashes, images, even personality traits, like his unending supply of sarcasm.
The other night, that particular trait seemed to take over, I've talked to him about wiping parts of my memorys but he wasnt exactly fond of the idea.
"Our memorys make us who we are, the good, and the bad", I had to agree, however these arent mine to remember, I managed to convince him to at least look into the idea.

There was another instance last night, while Conall and Iron Vanguard sparred, I saw flashes of a place long ago, of a training ground for new initiates, a place I'd never seen yet knew all about.
I was snapped out of my trance by the arrival of Aerial Assault, the headache it gave me was quite horrendous, I took some tablets with water for it but...I cant go on like this, how can I even begin to start my life anew unless I know its me making a fresh start, and not someone else...
  18. *A Personal recording device in the home of The Thunderar*

    First Day
Captains log, stardate...hmmm, I guess this is the Thunderar's log now, when did I start using that name again? I changed it to Luminous, I created a fresh start for myself, but today...

Today I was transported to an unknown location somewhere under the ocean, as if that narrows it down any. I was told, along with 4 others by a man called the 'Rogue Manipulator', that we were chosen, through time and space, to protect the world from evil, to become more than simple heroes, but symbols of good, champions of hope and freedom.

It was....what am i doing? this is a personal log, I...cant lie, what's the point? why would I!?
It....it was everything id ever dreamed of, being chosen to become heroes by a higher power, or at least by sheer dumb luck, I don't know how Rogues powers work but it was all down to him, I would make a guess that he is now our new leader.

I sat there listening to every word said, I looked down the table and saw 4 other heroes chosen like me, all my life I've been taught to question the motives of others, I think society as a whole has really...but now, today, I'm going to ignore it, I'm going to push through my own insecurities and make this work, today I am going to listen to a man tell us we can change the world, and believe him.

    Pocket D bar

The other night I came to explore the base of our new group, Liberty Force.
Its coming along nicely, I even have my own office, small but big enough for me to do a few minor experiments in, cosy perhaps.

Unfortunately some of my new team members had tried to stop a bank robbery and met very heavy resistance, Civil Servant was badly injured, as well as a werewolf named Conall, He....it turns out he's a member of the Nighthunter's, I'll need to contact Adam to get some information about that.

It was the teams first time together against a real threat I think, or....some of the members anyway, ok less than half I think, the point is it didnt go well, not to say they cant hold their own but, I think that's the point Im trying to make, if we're going to succeed we cant be a solo act, we used to stand on our own, but now we're not alone, not any more.

Of course tonight we met those same villains face to face in the Pocket dimension bar, strangely enough at what's referred to as the Blue bar, where heroes go, as opposed to the Red bar....for villains...I don't really get it.

We needed information about one of the bank robbers, someone who, according to Rogue, is outside their time. Rogue thinks villains are being pulled from different time periods by someone, gathering them like he gathered us, this made getting information a top priority.

The two we met were apparently called 'Miss Rad' and 'Blackwell', I would go on to mock the name 'Miss Rad' but hey....Thunderar.
It turns out she was the "Mastermind" behind the robbery...hehe, all I can imagine is a crayon drawing of a bank and stick figures of her croneys, "bank, we go, rob!" aha!

So heres my theory to be listened to and marvelled at in a thousand years.
Everyone knows about the so called Rogue Isles, a city where all the villains go to make a name for themselves, but really...does anyone remember anyone from that place?
I've lived there before, I've seen the worst it had to offer, I even joined a gang of vampires, demons and ghosts too.
Even after hearing their stories though, I would be far pressed to find many people who knew who they were, I guess the same can be said for heroes who live in Paragon but hey, we're not the ones doing it for glory and fame...about 99% of us aren't anyway.

So as Miss Rad starts calling herself the "Scourge of the Rogue Isles", I swear I laughed so hard on the inside my brain exploded. These people weren't a threat, they were just some thugs with powers, don't get me wrong, in battle i would take them very seriously, but even the Immovable bulk with all his strength is just a mindless brute really.

She wasn't a big threat at all, her and Blackwell seemed pally, Im guessing they were just a bunch of lifelong crooks, getting petty cash when they could from wherever they could, they needed to be taken down, but right now...there were bigger things at stake.

A trait I inherited from my creator, stupidity, well, feigning stupidity anyway.
You always keep secrets from important people, but those you don't consider a threat? Well with those you tell them anything because, quite simply, why not? Its not like they're a threat to you is it?
Maybe I did take an odd sense of pleasure from it, definatley something I inherited from Adam....but for the most part I gained all the information I needed from the gal in green tights.

Anashti....yeah he needs to be watched, again he gives off the semblance of a moron, talking about his plans in a bar where everyone can hear him...but he was also trying to recruit Blackwell, from what I hear that guy is pretty good, but more importantly, Anashti was the one Rogue was talking about, a man seemingly outside his time.
If he's recruiting then our theory of a villain gathering an army might have some foundation after all.
Maybe he wasn't just robbing a bank after all, maybe he was testing his team mates, seeing how good they really were, seeing how good we were perhaps?

    ......
Right, signing off for the night, this log is getting a bit long, Thunderar signing out.

  21. The Paragon Times - Thursday 10th February 2011

This way the scene last night as firefighters struggled against a blaze, tearing through the town of Salamanca in Croatoa.
Though some buildings were left unharmed, many were burnt down by what eye witnesses claim was 'fire raining from the sky'.
The event happened late last night between the hours of ten and eleven, injuring 38 people, killing twelve, 3 of which are believed to be under the age of 10.

One eye witness claimed the fire came from a man in the sky, a man in a dark cloak with long hair. Local authoritys are investigating, however their suspicions seem to be towards the regular supernatural activity associated with Croatoa.
  22. Yeah this actually sounds like an awesome idea, i have a hero who regularly listens to the radio and responds to threats as they come so it isnt at all implausible that he would show up.
    Count me in anytime.
  23. Paragon times - Friday 19th November

This evening, Oliver 'Nightshot' Davids called a press conference.
Choosing to not only come out of retirement but back from the dead, he gave a speech in Atlas city, in front of City hall.
"My friends, I stand before you today, a tired old man. I have relied, perhaps too heavily, upon a new generation of heroes to lead the world to a better future. In particular the Nighthunters."
At this point the crowd was quite excited, as most of the city believes, the Nighthunters are believed to be one of the finest Heroic teams against the forces of evil.
Their most recent efforts have been against the Court of the Blood Countess and its 'Open Season', though a spokesman from the Nighthunters has been quoted as saying Open season is officially over.

Mr Davids continued, revealing more about his feelings on the current Nighthunters.
"When I left the Nighthunters, I left knowing we had made a difference, a supreme difference. I was ready to live on until my dying days, a comforting thought that the world was so much brighter. These new Nighthunter....have proved me wrong"
At this point the crowd gave a collective gasp, one of the original Nighthunters dismissed the efforts of the current Nighthunters.

"When Nathaniel Norman created these new Nighthunters...I kept away, watching from afar, remembering the good we did back in the day. They have NOT done our memory justice, many of their members have died in battle, they started an all out war with this 'Court', but instead of keeping it to themselves, they brought it to the streets, involving every single monster hunter in the country, and every mercenary out there looking for a quick buck."
The crowd didnt know what to make of these accusations, though they did make some sense.

"Their leader is completely out of his depth, going against other heroes and even the authorities during the 'Rogue Wars', which ended in his own death and endangered others as well, to his most recent acts, inviting villains and heroes alike to some sort of Halloween party which ended up with an attack from Adamastor, endangering the lives of more heroes!"
You could tell Mr Davids was speaking with a lot of passion in his heart right now, honestly believing the future of the Nighthunters may very well be in the wrong hands.

"Yes...I am quite honestly ashamed to call myself a former Nighthunter, and so...I seek to remake them, to truly help Paragon once more, like we did so many years ago. Tonight i reveal to you, some real heroes, true, pure heroes who have given me enough strength to carry on the fight against evil, and i assure you, these heroes will not fail as the Nighthunters have"
"The first hero i would like to introduce is a young lad who, upon bonding with a Kheldian, decided to use his new abilities to help the world, i give you...Hollow!"
At this point, four figured started to walk onto the stage, each coming on as their names were said, the first being a purple haired, young man in blue.

"The second man id like to introduce, a man who has had his own body changed in so many ways, JUST to make the world a better place, Eternal!"
The man known as Eternal seemed to be some sort of Cyborg.
"The man in white to my right, is none other than Shadow, my own personal bodyguard and mission leader of the team, employing his own group of elite Ninjas"
This man was an obvious choice for the leader, having a presence that showed a quiet power.
"And the last young man, he came to me in fear, he was a former Nighthunter, they were his friend, his family, and they shunned him. Having recently suffered an attack from one of the Court of the Blood Countess's Templars, that is to say their most high ranking soldiers, he had been rescued and returned home, only to be put under immediate scrutiny and mistrust. He was almost attacked by his former teammates before he managed to escape. His old name was Storm, his identity is Adam Moore, but today, he is...Luminous!"
Now a show stopper came onto the set, a golden shield in hand, his bright costume seemed to glow as the lights reflected off his body. Holding the shield above his head, a bright light shot into the night sky like a search light, illuminating the entire area.
    A fitting name indeed.

"And now, with these new heroes, I will form a new band of hunters, ones who will truly vanquish the evil of the world, who will never bargain with them, who will show this world, what it TRULY is to be a hero. From this day forth, no villain shall hide within the darkness, on this day, you witness the birth, of the DARKHUNTERS!"

At this, the crowd went wild, clapping until they had all exited the stage, and even for a few minutes afterwards. The creation of a new super hero group, one to rival the Nighthunters it seems, many accusations have been made against the current Nighthunters, some seemingly true, but only time will tell.
For tonight at least, the city can sleep easy knowing that the Darkhunters are watching over us.

  24. Yey done, well....thats my epilogue done, for all i rp with, its important to read, anyone else...have a looksie if you feel like it.
Thanks CB for ending the plot, would have liked an all out battle but i suppose we'll just have to settle for a being of pure entropy engulfing the island. Also if Hugo survived and ran off then i call dibs...Ta bud! =)
  25. Erez'Zul watched the spot where the Nictus had dissappeared, his hatred still burning strong. He was getting sick of people believing they were untouchable, that they were stronger than they really were, invincible.

He turned around, watching the Priest walk away, the young hooded girl vanish and the other lady walk off, she offered them a lift back, he simply shook his head. She might be an enemy, or an ally, at this point he was beyond caring.
He glanced between the two ferals then back at Lucard, staring for a moment he spoke softly.
"Im done...I believe I have gained as much from the Court as I can, who knows, maybe you'll see me again...maybe not, but im done. Im sick of playing it safe, leaving it so late that this....that this can happen. Im going to take action against the Nighthunters, personally...Goodbye Lucard, try not to get eaten..."

His palm began to glow blue, a swirling light emanating from the palm of his hand. He looked at it for a moment, wondering what it was that had stopped his teleportation up until this point.
He raised his hand, a portal exploding from the very air, fire swimming around the edges. He stepped through, leaving the cave and entering his own fortress, the closest thing to a home he had.
He walked through the empty halls of his home, the sound of his footsteps making a loud echo with each step. As he reached the throne room he saw the triplets waiting for him, Reaper, Destroyer and Screecher, all kneeling down as he approached.
He rested a hand on Destroyers head for a moment as he walked past them, climbing the stairs and sitting on the throne at the top.

He looked down at the bottom of the stairs, an image flashing through his mind, a memory of only a few hours ago, before he went to the island, WHY he went to the island.

The figures voice boomed through the throne room now.
"Dont act the superior to me Dominic!"
Erez'Zul's eyes flashed at the mention of his real name.
"This battle, this fight between us, at this moment in time...is meaningless, there is more at stake than you care to admit. It is because of this....that i ask a favour....."
    Hours earlier...

"It is because of this....that I ask a favour...."
Erez'Zul simply stared at him, his face expressionless, that is until he started to laugh, he continued to laugh for nearly a minute before having to force himself to stop, the man in the chair stayed perfectly still as he laughed, waiting for him to stop.

"You....wish to ask a favour of me? you're my prisoner!"
Erez'Zul had spoken with such incredulity that he wasnt properly prepared for the retort.
    "A prisoner in your throne"
Erez'Zul stopped smirking now, the humor lost on him.
"I defeated you Adam, you're MY prisoner now, whatever tricks you have wont stop me...look at you, you're already wasting away, you dont have enough energy left to stop me."
Adam Moore, more commonly known as Storm to the world, a Judicator among the Nighthunters, arched forward, his face coming out of the shadow, and though it was his face, it didnt look like it.

His face was old and wrinkled, to heal the wound that Erez'Zul had caused him, he was having to feed off of his own life force, usually he replenished this by meditating for a few hours a day however since coming here, he was denied any form of meditation to regain his strength.
    Adam smiled again.
"Then im no threat to you...so why dont you shut up and listen."
Erez'Zul glared at him, crossing his arms he stayed silent, ready to listen to him.

"Good...Tomb, a child genius whos life has been full of pain, of suffering, she was shown the darkness of the world all at once....and it destroyed her. Somehow...she lost it, whatever made her hate, whatever made her WANT to hate...it vanished, and she became Sarah, a little girl who only wanted to be with her adoptive sister, Jenny."

Erez'Zul stepped forward, he had heard the story before, how Adam got his powers.
"I became close to Jenny...too close, when I received my abilities, she knew too much, and so...I silenced her....she could have lived happily ever after with Sarah, a real family for a girl who was never given the chance to grow up on her own....and i took that all away from her.."
A tear started to fall down Adams face as he spoke.
Erez'Zul interupted, walking up the stairs, closer to Adam.

"And then Sarah went mad and tried to help Jenny and watched over her forever and ever....ive heard the story before....Tomb...ive heard that name before, recently..."
    Adam nodded slowly.
"Yes...but Jenny survived, she lay in a coma, Sarah went through so much...but then Jenny woke up, she got better, Sarah was released into her care and they could live happily forever more"

Erez'Zul looked on a little confused.
    "And...?"
Adam scoffed lightly, he could feel himself getting weaker, his attempt at intimidation against Erez'Zul had used up a lot of what little energy he had left.
"And...now someone else is around, calling themselves Tomb, a little girl, blonde hair..."
    Erez'Zul smiled widely.
"Of course, now i remember, the vampire virus the Countess talked about...so of course the favor is..."
    Adam completed his sentence.
    "To save her"

Erez'Zul laughed loudly again, for a moment it almost seemed like his was happy, but Adam could tell there was no humor in his laughter.
"But of course! Save the girl, the most important thing in the world, make up for past mistakes, for your own crimes, as always"
Erez'Zul quickly slammed his hands on either side of the thrones arm rests, leaning in closer to Adam, his eyes giving away his anger.
"Your trapped. Here. With me! you cant talk yourself out of this, you cant bargain with me, you wont survive this...stop ignoring me"

Adam honestly looked surprised by his words.
    "Dominic..."
Erez'Zul quickly stepped back, pointing his finger at Adam, inches away from his face.
"DONT! You have no right to call me that, you had your chance thousands of years ago and you wasted it, and again, AGAIN! you ignore anything i do to save some girl, as if she was more important, as if she was all that mattered in the world to you!"

    Adam sighed.
"This is about Alexia again...Dominic, i never abandoned you, i loved you...i would never, i COULD never abandon you, but shes my daughter..."
Erez'Zul burst with rage, flecks of dark energy flying from his body.
"AND I AM YOUR SON!! Does that mean NOTHING to you!? I was there for you, i became a Guardian to please you, i tried to lead them like you would, i ascended through the ranks, becoming one of the most revered protectors this world had ever seen, but. it. was. never. ENOUGH!"

Erez'Zul smacked Adam hard across the face, bouncing his head back against the throne making him fly forwards, falling down the stairs he hit the bottom with a thud.
He managed to raise his head slightly, his vision blurring as he saw Erez'Zul take one step down the stairs.
"Why would I ever help you..."
Adam was falling unconcious fast, just managing to give out some last words before he drifted asleep.
    "Because...i...couldnt...save her...can...you..."
Erez'Zul stared at him, watching his motionless body for a few minutes before screaming out through the throne room.

"TO ME!" Three flashes of light erupted into the room, one green, one blue and the last red, changing into three identical beings except for their clothes. They were the Triplets.
"Tomb....find her, no matter where you have to look, contacts, technology, books, spells, raising the dead, i dont care! FIND HER!!"
The three beings vanished the same way they had come, in three different colored, bright lights.
Erez'Zul sat down on his throne, 2 large demons entering the room, picking up Adams body to take him back to his cage.
Erez'Zul hated Adam at this moment, more than he had before, he knew exactly how to get to him, what made him tick. Adam knew the one force that drove Erez'Zul to such lengths was his need to out do his father, to be better in every respect.
Joining the court, becoming a templar, something Adam couldnt do, taking down the Nighthunters, something Adam once again failed at. He would become more powerful than him no matter the cost, a plan was already in motion to destroy the Nighthunters, but the girl....Tomb. If he could save her where his father could not....the plan could wait, some things were just more important.
