1. Also....

17) customize powers.

18) Alter the appearance of the Mastermind units for custom characters.

19) Allow Players to exemplar down to the level of the mission if their experience level exceeds that of the units you've picked for the mission.
2. Things we can't do now:

1) Create a custom enemy that uses standard enemy costumes. For instance, you can't create a unit that uses Freakshow costume pieces.

2) Modify a currently existing unit to have differet/new/more powers & rename it. For instance, you can't take a Freakshow unit & give it new powers.

See where I'm going with this???

You also can't:

1) Modify a map to create your own custom maps.

2) Use the Supergroup Base editing engine to create a base-type map & use that for game play.

3) Take different powers from different primaries/secondaries.

4) Utilize Power Pools other than fly.

5) Set AI's to anything other than ranged/melee. For instance, you can't set a unit to utilize stealth or ambush tactics.

6) Take a currently existing enemy unit that has a low level cap, and raise it.

7) Take a currently existing enemy unit that has a high level cap & lower it.

8) Set a level cap of any type on any custom unit.

9) Set a level range on a mission other than that dictated by the type of units you select.

10) Script a set of emotes/text for a unit or set of units to play in order to act out a specific scene.

11) Create a dramatic cut scene, as the devs have started doing in more of their missions.

12) Take a currently exising NPC Unit & put them in a different costume.

13) Change the music for a specific area.

14) Give enemy units tagged sound files - i.e. the Banished Pantheon Mask music, or the Freakshow electrical zap.

15) Use a demo editing tool & then download that demo file into the mission at any point in order to create a cut scene.

16) Create custom costume pieces for our own custom units.
3. Permadom for the win.

If you enjoy being able to get up from the PC once in a while withouth having to worry about missing activation of Hasten - or you're just too lazy to care - I'd do with:

1) Scrapper / Brute
2) Night Widow

My NW flies through arcs as if I had the Super Nintendo Godmode code installed.

Theoretically there are some Corruptor, Controller, and MM builds that could accomplish the same feat, but If I'm too lazy to play my PermaDom, I'm WAAAAAAAY too lazy to play one of those....

But the end of arc bonus is supposed to be in Tickets. That is a bug.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't think that's right. Do you have a quote?

[/ QUOTE ]

I noticed this last night. I did get some "regular" drops in a DC mission - but no bonus at the end whatsoever. No tickets, no MCB, nuttin'.
6. I have a question about this - and this is completely serious.

I ran into several missions last night that I would classify as "farming" maps. And there was no doubt about the fact that they were made for farming. Playing through those, I learned about some very interesting techniques to get the spawn counts up to the highest possible.

My first reaction to this was: "Well this is a BS farming map. This won't stay on the server long." Because I know the Devs want to avoid having players exploit the MA system for farming & power-leveling.

But then I thought, "Well....what if you just really want to fight alot of guys at once when you solo?"

This is especially going to be a problem for Scrappers & Brutes - the two AT's that probably get the biggest amount of jollies from soloing.

It makes me wonder where the devs are going to draw the line, and how they plan to continue to regulate the system against exploits without completely ruining the functionality of the system.

If I had to guess...I'm going to say that very soon, they're going to implement a nerf that completely neuters the system - and then dial up the performance from there. What do you think?

13. This thread would have been legitmate if had just been about War Mace. Everything said about War Mace was legitimate.

Throwing Energy Aura in there, frankly, just throws up a smoke screen that cleverly masks any chance this thread ever had at not failing.
14. I really like the concept of this build, and the focus on melee attacks as a way of playing to the AT's affinity for melee defense over ranged & AoE attacks. With a little tinkering, I came up with this:

This build has some trade-off's from the one Gameboy posted. Overall...damage is lower, and the attacks will go off slower due to less recharge. The benefit is higher defenses across the board.

A case could be made to drop superjump completely until after 24, which allows you to take TT: Leadership instead. Likewise, you could drop out Swift (it's only in there for QoL reasons anyway), to pick up Assault. If you do that...you end up with something like this:

Knowing that you're going to respec anyway, you can probably suffer through level 24 with only Combat Jumping & Temp travel powers (I know some VEATs are skipping them altogether). With that in mind, you end up with an accuracy of about 99.6% to all your attacks (which is just about right for PvE, since anything about 95% is wasted), with the same damage buff & recharge as Gameboy's plan, plus the higher defense bonus from TT: Maneuvers.

There really is no way to fit everything in...but here you get the best of both offense & defense, sacrificing the Fitness pool & travel powers to the Pagan Gods of min/max'ing.

Haven't taken a Patron yet, though it'll either be Scirocco or Ghost Widow. (Leaning towards Mr. Moooo.) Patron Pools are on the "to-do" list for this guide.

[/ QUOTE ]

For patron pool - I see 2 choices with this type of Dom:

1) Mu Mastery - because of the endurance recovery. But in this case, you might not even need that.

2) Leviathan Mastery - because the armor is a passive, reistance-based armor. This is a huge deal now, where you can slot it out with both mezz & knock-back protection without having to mess with another toggle. Might not be as effective against other armors (who cares about cold resistance), but it is certainly economical.

Also...water spout. Whether or not this would actually work well in combat, the idea of an enemy being helplessly tossed around while being mauled by flaming monkeys makes me feel funny in my pants...

Why are wings not listed in the first 12 months worth of veteran rewards???

Hello?? Did we forget about them? You only spent 6 slagging months working on them!! You qued them ahead of Villain epics & other things we desperately need...like new contacts & new zones.

Who gets to use the wings?? The 25 players who have been here since Day 1 CoH has been live? Wow..that'll be cool...a piece of content no one can have.

Awesome job Devs...once again you're about to completely alienate your entire client base.

Somebody PLEASE tell me the devs aren't actually this ignorant, and this is some kind of big oversight.
