To beat them all you have to do is: bust a move!
(Note: You wont find this funny unless you've seen the latest Scrubs and if you don't watch Scrubs, shame on you....)
As you're elec though I'm gonna assume you have Short Circuit and so I'd suggest using that as unless they've used the end discount move then they'll normally use a lot of end using TF and so making use end faster and thus more easy to hit. At least that's what I do, as well popping loads of dru...insps, mainly break frees. Also Thunder Strike is your friend unless they have acrobatics as they'll get knocked down and give more time for hittage, unlike TF which doesn't knockback or down. -
Is there still space in this thing? Or has it started? I can't be arsed to read the rest of the thread.
-
I may not be good at it but I enjoy it. And whats not gimped about it? There are best power sets for it and I'm just kinda sick of Ice/Nrg all over the gaff.
-
This travel power argument is funny. (Professional fence straddler at work)
Surely you can just argue that if you are the best it doesn't matter if you have travel powers or not seeing as the option to turn travel off is a part of the arena and thus pvp in general. And these overpowered builds you speak of, why not attempt to counter them a different way than you would of normally. I like the whole fast pacedness of PvP but I also like variety and so no travel is appealing.
(I didn't read all the other posts, I'm just gonna wait for someone to point out they already mentioned a point I just made)
Also, gimped pvp ftl? And there was me thinking PvP was already gimped, ho ho ho. -
I forgot to mention in my post before but: nice stories Cap. Like the explaination of the powers too.
-
Liking this idea Cap, think I'll have a bash...

Powers:
Electrical Blasts - Can throw small electric blasts with good accuracy, normally a diversionary tactic.
Full Gauntlet Discharge - Completely drains the Gauntlet of all power for an enormous blast that is capable of splitting concrete, both gauntlets can be discharged for maximum effect but isn't wise to do this as it would him powerless.
Personal Forcefield - The field comes on at will and is usually facing the way Volt is and deflects most things but isn't overly powerful, usually a desperation move.
Magnetic Grip - Can climb most buildings with metal in the walls due to a powerful magnetic charge he can create in his boots and his hands.

- Highly acrobatic, has trained under increased gravity and perfected his jump height.
- Parkour: Before becoming a hero, Volt was well respected for his parkour skills
Nemesis:
The Family or anyone that causes trouble in IP, Nocturnal
Contacts:
The Astrum Rangers
Biography:
Being brought up in a fairly average neighborhood, Volt was disgusted with some of the other parts of his town as he grew up. On his 15th birthday he decided it had to change, no one deserved to be treated like they had been, no one should live in fear. He started attended Ju Jitsu classes and became excellent at using a bo staff. At hight he'd go out in a hood and mask and stop crime or injustice wherever he saw it. He became well known in the town and this only made the police hunt him more.
The police eventually caught him and treated him like common criminal, in jail he hard an incredibly hard time, what with being with a lot of the people he put in there in the first place. His mother rang his brother who was in Paragon, his brother being Sub-Atomic, and let him know of the situation. Volt didn't know his brother had become a super hero in Paragon, nor did he know his father was a hero who had been killed in the Rikti war. His father was the original Volturne and created the suit that Volt wears today.
When Sub-Atomic arrived in Paragon he cared not for the authorities knowing how corrupt and petty they were and immediately broke Volt from his cell, then brought him home. At the house Sub-Atomic explained everything, and brought him to their fathers hidden room where he kept all of his gear. He donned the costume and went to Paragon with Sub and assumed the identity of his dead father, although he doesn't like people calling Volturne as he is his own person, he just couldn't be bothered with all the registry nonsense. In Paragon, Sub introduced Volt to the Astrum Rangers and became a member.
After that, much changed for Volt, he moved into Independence Port in an area which reminded him of his home. He got a job as graphic designer although he tends to spend little time on his work and more being a hero. Sub-Atomic died at the hands of the Nocturnal whilst trying to stop him from robbing the Talos Island bank. Now with many Rangers MIA or dead, he is one of the leaders but unless something happens soon, the future of the Rangers looks bleak.
(And that is all I can be arsed doing as I can't write stories, I just come up with ideas, I suck at getting on paper or something) -
Can people just show up and hope to get into the matches?
(because some of the Astrum Rangers wanna take part, but we don't have enough people as some have disappeared) -
I think these are great, liking the fact that you adapted the in game costume a little.
The colouring on fantasy is awesome. -
A slight colouring attempt (will try again later as this was done in about 5 minutes):
Here it be -
Yea its not clear as it's taken with my digital camera, will scan it/ink it/colour at college tommorrow.
And thanks all for your comments. -
it is my best by far, but unfortunately I have no scanner at home, so a picture from my camera will have to suffice for now, it kinda does it justice but not completely (can you tell how proud i am of this?)
Click here, you know you wanna -
That was a fun night, more people would of been nice though. Was fun to finally test my new build in team pvp.
-
A quick Blindsight sketch
It's bad I know, but just spent a few minutes doodling, didn't feel like throwing it away
It's completely messed up, was full body then I realised I am lazy... -
I second that motion.
(Also could make that kind of a regular occurrance, give the Deviant Page people something to do, like get people to post toons they want doodling up) -
Why not just post your character and see if anyone postes back?
-
Thanks for the comments people (don't know what else to say along the lines of thanks and such as i am silly). I'm thinkin about redoing it in Corel Painter, but right now I'm lost in the abundance of brush options and getting rather angry as I choose a brush I like, do something wrong go to the eraser and can never find the brush I like ever again!
And thanks again. -
Well he's supposed to be looking down, but quite obviously: it is poo
And yes I overuse the out of focus thing, especially lately.
-
Thats what I'm making right now with this poo piece but I wanted to submit something here, its been too long.
This be the poo -
Mmm Jaegermeister, Absynthe and Red Bull in a large flask, how would I ever get through work without it.
Anyhow, lemme join in on this pvp thing, I've not been severely beaten in some time. -
Am I too late to apply for this?
-
I know it's supposed to be at school but y'know, I could of done this in school, but the important thing is that I was bored.
Also, the guy at the bottom sux big style because I can barely draw people fromr ehular angles let alone such an obscure one.
