Anything that you buy from the market you keep regardless of account status, so you'll never lose anything you've purchased.
If you're into costumes, the bundles are all pretty good and the powersets, obviously. You might also want to look at the SSAs if you want to be able to use them for getting hero/villain merits. -

I'm still angry that PvP resulted in Hibernate being turned into a Time-Limited power in the first place (don't say it wasn't, there was no reason for Phase powers to be on a timer as far as PvE content was concerned and the changes just happened to coincide with PvP going live) so I'd be all for anything that allows us to use Hibernate more frequently if we choose to.

Well I really don't care because the 2nd Hero mission is bugged and I'm really not interested in starting the whole thing again in the hope that it'll work properly next time.
If they can't be bothered to QA this stuff before publishing it then I can't be bothered to play it. -
One quick and easy option is to start a new toon, run through the tutorial and just before you level start a demorecord, then you can go through it and see for yourself.

The SSAs are mini story arcs released on roughly a monthly basis which are part of an overall plotline; in the first instance, which of the Freedom Phalanx will die. They exist both redside and blueside with slightly different content for each and can be run once a week for Hero/Villain merits (and as many times as you like for regular merits subject to normal diminishing returns) assuming that you are the correct alignment and have confirmed that alignment by completing at least one morality mission.

Quote:Was it still shrink wrapped when you got it?Just got my boxed copy in the mail, popped it open and well... The serial code box is blank.
Not smeared, not blurry, not even transferred onto the opposite page. It is just blank. What to do? Google gave me 1 working page where guy ended up returning it, anyone remember this happening?
Dogan
I'd rather not play the shipping lottery.
Also, really stupid question, but are you sure it's not a "scratch off" panel over the serial number? -
I believe it puts you into "Only Affecting Self" status, so it should have the same effect as Phase Shift or PFF.

I'd like to know why there are randomly buttons along the top of the UI for things like viewing your Cart or your Account page that flat out don't appear 80%-90% of the time you open the Market window.

There are two current problems with the TV respec trial that make it a) Too easy and b) Too long.
1) A lot of the mobs in the reactor spawn at -2 to the players, this wasn't such an issue pre-supersidekicking but now everyone is the same level so it's much more noticeable.
2) The gaps between the waves are *far* too long, irrespective of how much you're trying to account for crappy teams. 5 minutes from the start of one wave to the start of the next is just silly. An average team (Last I ran was 2 vets and 3 newbies) can clear each wave in under 30 seconds.
The simplest solution is just to make the waves spawn X seconds after the last mob of the previous wave is defeated, that way weak teams don't get overrun and everyone else doesn't fall asleep between waves.
Here's another suggestion for you, to stop it being "too easy"; scale the subsequent waves to the speed at which the previous ones were defeated. So if it takes 5 minutes to kill the first wave, then go easy on them for the second one, if it takes 5 seconds, spawn groups of bosses at every door instead. -
There is a link to the "original" homepage in the top right corner of the Freedom splash page.
Edit: Actually there isn't, because the video is gone now apparently and www.cityofheroes.com takes you straight to the main site. -
My understanding was that they could still be direct traded, albeit with the loss of the Boosted component.

Quote:If you bought the costume bundle then it should include all of the pieces, if you bought individual pieces then, well...So I bought the Victorian Steampunk costume set for a toon and picked it up for my Mastermind. Well I decided to make another toon using the same costume only made the new toon a female instead. According to the costume generator, it is now locked again and I have to purchase it again. Is this accurate? that the costume is only available on one toon? or is gender specific? I am a VIP account if that matters or not.
Also not that not all pieces are available for Male, Female & Huge body types, much to the dismay of many people who want their huge men wearing dresses... -
The TV Respec trials have needed fixing for a while now, even on a team of 5 with 3 newbies we spent most of the time standing around doing nothing.
Also, fix the motherloving Porters/Rikti Lieutenants so that when they piss off after being hit once they actually *come back* rather than making players periodically search the entire reactor map just to make sure that there isn't a lone mob somewhere preventing the trial from completing. -
DST-Related cockup? Random file corruption changing your driver's timestamp? Time traveling GPU? Could be any number of things.
-
Just remember that its timing is unreliable, so there's a good chance that your crashes will still affect you just as badly, on average.
-
Oddly, I haven't noticed this (I have it slotted in Confuse), but then again it's entirely possible that any aggro generated as a result of the firing of the proc is being concealed by the fact that the affected mob is immediately confused and I haven't waited long enough to see if they would come after me once the confuse wears off.

Quote:Obvious Troll is Obvious. If they are gonna do a Linux version then I want a version compatible with my old IBM System/3.
But that aside, the main problem is that it costs money to get things developed and tested to run on a new platform, even when you're doing it via something like WINE (Which is effectively what the Mac version is doing) and to my knowledge the game has a fair few Windows dependencies (even though it's not using DirectX for the rendering engine) not least the godawful NCSoft Launcher.
Like it or not, there just isn't a big enough audience of Linux users who a) want to play games on it and b) Are willing to install any software that isn't 100% open source, to make it worth the investment to support the platform. -
Quote:As was stated, not hugely useful until the CIT site is back up and running, but: http://spad.co.uk/titansentinel-0.9.4e.zipAny chance there's a link where to download the Titan sentinel tracking tool from a mirror site ?

Quote:There's not really anything that the Titan guys can do to fix issues that may have occurred on your PC, whether as a result of the compromise or not.The upshoot, is that I'm eagerly awaiting your updates and corrections, I'm also wondering if you will give us a way to update, reinstall and correct issues with our programs that are bug related? It would be helpful.
I would suggest making use of free tools such as:
Avast
Avira
SuperAntiSpyware
Combofix
MalwareBytes
To tidy up your machine, although in many cases it's safer just to wipe everything and start again.
