Myself and Chaplain being TF/SF junkies are planning on doing all of the SF's in City of Villians, starting on Sunday with the first one.
So far places are reserved for:
Bounty
Cinder L
Shinokage
Lifeline's Dominator
As this is a reunion SF, preference for places will be reserved for any of our old muckers first.
The plan is to get this finished before the MBar Synapse TF run begins.
Sign up below -
It's a match made in heaven or could be a match made in hell, this Monday 21:00GMT Stargazer and Eddie Munt at Galaxy Girl.
Don'tcha dare miss it, true believers!! -
Hmmm I'll try but I think I'm going out tonight on the beer. GG is pretty limited to Mon/Tues/Wed to me...due to work/poker league etc.
-
Yes Eddie is based on a real person who I had the displeasure to have to deal with some time ago. I joke about bringing him to the comic expo as:
a) It would mean I'd have to talk to the <insert swearword here>
b) He makes the CoH Eddie Munt look like a kindly old grandad
SO I'm afraid it will be just me on my own, looking like a slightly, podgier version of the CoH Eddie Munt, though any ladies wearing short skirts is always welcome.... <ducks Katana blade from Niall> -
I'm well up for this, and will definately attend, for the chance to meet you all.
<Ponders if I still have real Eddie Munt's number, and what excuse could be used to get him there.....> -
Nope haven't used it since I came back
-
We have to respect your opinion Rock Eagle, and I for one will do so happily. I would like to through this into the arena of discussion though.
I roleplay a infamous vile old man at GG RP sessions, and many of the GG regulars create alts every nanosecond (not naming, names <coughs> Zortel<cough>.
Once I logged on as Eddie to scream abuse at people, and there was a character there with a reptilian motif. Well I started to harangue said character thinking it was one of Zortel's alts... alas it was a potential new roleplayer who took my IC verbal baiting as OOC, and got (quite rightly) very upset. Luckily, he was a reasonable chap and when we all realised we all explained to him, and he was fine.
My thought it could the same have happened to you? And if that did happen did you make it known?
When conversations are limited to the written word, and character emotes confusions can arise.
I'm a bit helter skelter this week, but if you fancy giving GG another go, send me a PM on the boards or contact me in-game @Prize (goes for anyone who wants to attend GG, and I'll do my best - as will all the other attendees to make you feel welcome, and ease you into the community.) -
Having read Leif's link, I heartily approve of Aisla's suggestion as Prize as the Tower.
But what would Eddie be? I didn't see a card for miserable SOB? -
Well after much deliberation and testing, I've decieded to leave Prize's and Dark Wolf's build alone.
I seem to be at Issue 3 defence effectiveness, so I'm leaving both builds as they are.
I jumped into a load of purple mobs, and was able to handle aggro and not take too much damage.
Perhaps Statesman is so relived that I'm back that he's allowed my characters to stay at Issue 3 superdom -
I've got a pretty hectic week this week, but once things have settled down, I'd like to do the Shards TF's that are missing from Prize and all of them for Dark Wolf. I'll post on here, and I'll send you a text Chaplain so you know when.
I'm absolutely loving being back in CoH, mainly because of the community which I always felt was lacking in WOW.
Yes Cryptic has some major flaws as a company, particularly around Customer Service etc, but for me the enjoyment of the people I play and roleplay with outweighs that. It's such a shame that it took so long for me to realise it. -
Yeah it's probably about time that Prize realises that Nevermore who she likes and respects, is the same person as Alan Drake, the shifty bloke in the suit she dispises.
-
Now my two penneth, for those with long memories this was tried before, a long, long time ago, but not in a galaxy far far away
.
How did it all end... well bluntly very very badly.
There is such a wide cross section of RP in COH (can#t speak about COV haven't played it properly yet.) that trying to unify everyone fails.
I'm fairly confident I'm not talking out of turn, but when Fury left the RHU to join Society of the Phoenix, I attempted to get the two SG's to RP together. I spoke to Shadowplay and we got on... but then Templar wanted things to go a way that went against SoP's preffered method of roleplaying, various people started dictating and arguing about which method was better (whilst in reality there was nothing wrong with either method - just personal choice)... and the long and short of it is that there was a lot of locked threads, the RHU nearly folded, and Templar left the game.
As far as I'm aware, everyone is happy in CoH roleplaying the way they are roleplaying, so please feel free to join any of the various RP communities depending upon your own style of play, and fit in... but a unified coordinated RP style is never going to happen.
As War Crow said the one and only time it did happen was when we all got together for the first Galaxy Girl, which enabled RPers to see what styles were available, and then either stay at GG or to their own thing.
Perhaps it would be a good idea to hold another all inclusive RP meet just for new players to see what's on offer... but I'd leave that up ot the RP community outside of GG to comment on. -
Sounds like a plan to me... I'll make sure Eddie doesn't gatecrash
-
But perhaps the best news of all is that Prize's partner in crime and in love Fury will be back soon.
Wubbies all round -
Those mentioned feel free to add/correct anything I've remembered wrongly.

PRIZE aka April Kincaid aka Karen aka Veladorn
Prize was originally a member of the Real Heroes Union, and was instrumental in the early days of that team. It was during a battle with the Pumicites in the Hollows that one tribe viewed her as their Queen, and granted her in addition to her mutation of Super dense skin and phenomenol strength to be unhindered by the earth.
April was happy with the RHU until she left in disgust at the actions of a fellow member, Rafius - who had engaged on a killing spree.
Rafius instigated a vendetta against Prize, as well as Fury, and eventually including Zortel and War Crow.
During the first Rafius affair, Fury's and Prize's friendship bond became much deeper, until finally one windswept night Fury made a pass at April. Confused April lashed out bitterly at Fury, and it was over after intervention by Shadowplay and Zortel that the two became an inseperable partnership, and became affectionately known by Fusebox as Auntie A and Auntie D.
Rafius disappeared for a while, due which Prize's evil sister, Karen's personality took over. At first no-one believed Fusebox, that her "Auntie A" had been evil towards her. But after a confrontation with Nevermore, at the Galaxy Girl statue, Karen's psyche exterted herself. Prize fled pursued by Fury, Fusebox, War Crow, Nevermore and Shadowplay. Eventually, the April personality regained control, and permitted Shadowplay to apply a power neutraliser around her neck, whilst the others looked for a way to subdue the Karen personality. They eventually did this, and Prise was restored, just in time as Rafius reappeared, but this time he was not alone, as he was accompanied by Brute Force and some others.
After many attacks, threats, the Real Heroes Union and Prize faced off against Rafius and Brute Force, with Prize emerging victorious and banishing Rafius.
Everything calmed down for a while until Prize was attacked by a diseased beggar in Founders Fall. Unbeknowst to April, the old man was a follower of the Evil god Veladorn, who took control of April's body, and banished her soul to a hell dimension.
A task force led by Fury and Nevermore, and aided by Keeper of Sorrows and the White Warlock, managed to banish Veladorn and free Prize's soul.
April then devoted much of her time to the Agency, quickly rising through the ranks within that organisation until without warning she disappeared.
Now eight months later, the criminal element are muttering about a relentless foe returning... -
Thanks for all the wb both in-game and on the boards, it's great to be back.
However one person is unaccounted for... so Hunter/Fury, get in touch if you're still around. If not Freezer can you through a cup of coffee over him at work please -
Sorry for being really lazy but having been away for six months, Prize is still in Issue 4 build.
I just want to get back into playing the game, and can't be dealing with number crunching at the moment, so is there anyone out there who can help me with slotting Inv/SS with Speed, Fitness, Stealth, Energy Mastery pools? -
That's how damn long I've got to wait until I can step back into Paragon City. Obviously been a lot of updates while I've been in the land of fluffy elves, probably find half my characters are about as weak as Midnight Agent next to a bomb in the first respec, but I guess only time will tell.
Any of my old cronies left around these parts, holler you're new names so I can say hello in-game please -
Well I used this last night and it was brilliant, thanks for providing this Chaplain. Had a scream, it not only increases the social aspect of the game, but also the team tactics.
It's so much easier to say "Watch that Crey PowerTank on the balcony" to Battle Medic then it is to type it.
Absolute scream, even if you haven't got a mic sign up and listen in.
Brilliant, absolutely brilliant -
(OOC We're not recruiting, but thought we ought to make an introduction))
Thrust together in the heat of battle, the bombastic Blue Bug, the frigid feline Freezer and the proud amazon The Prize, have grouped together to fight injustice and foul deeds wherever they find them. United they stand, proud and tall (apart from Buggy), they are the protectors of the innocent, the bane of evil, they are balancing the scales of justice, they are the Equalizers -
Just to add:
Prize seemed preoccupied and upset about someting, not her normal self at all
Fusebox was a big hit
The Sentinel made a lot of cups of tea
Obsidian D<something> - spoke with a lot of Z and V's
The Psychotic was well... psychotic
Some cat girl was uber annoying (you know who you are....Gill)
This is great that so many people turn up at nine, let's keep it going, perhaps if we prove their is a need for a bar (read not dance party) then the Devs will be incredibly nice and create us one.
See you all tonight
PS Dark Wolf doesn't need to change his socks, the smell was foul-smelling medicinal herbs , so there :P
