I have lots of fire, and just a few ice, unless cold mastery counts for ice. -
Most of us are having fun, maybe like 5-10 people not so much.

The yellow mitos do toxic damage with no position to them so there is no real 'defense' to their attacks. You can bring EoEs but that seems kind of silly. I think what Voodoo and Des are describing is running into the goo then out into a group of rikti around a plyon. You will often see a huge blast that KBs(and sometimes kills) the rikti coming from the goo. I have always assumed it was hami shooting at you with a AoE type of attack, but I guess its the yellows. The great thing about doing this is that those rikti that survive will aggro on the mitos. This helps by reducing the aggro on the team (the rikti act as cannonfodder) and sometime they actually take down a mito or two with their attacks.

So this will be randomly paired teams, then winners will advance into a 'winners pool' that will be again randomly paired, and so on for each round?

The Mayhem explore badges are for Invader, I don't have villains at all the right levels but I'm sure if we posted something we could get people to offer up mayhems and do it all as one big group.

This Saturday 3/27/10 starting at 12:00 EST, I will be running a Villian Accolade team. The goals will be to get:
Demonic Aura Self: +Resistance(All but Psionics) +Defense(All but Psionics)
The spirit of a demon resides within you. Bringing it to the surface of your mind can make you highly resistant to all types of damage for a short time. You mustn't let the demon inside you out for too long, however, or it just may cost you your mortal soul.
Megalomaniac Self: +Special
You've wanted more control and now you have it. Activating this power increases the power of all of your Sleeps, Holds, Immobilize, and Confuse for 60 seconds. You can only activate it once every 25 minutes.
Born in Battle Self: +Max Health, +Max Endurance
You've proved yourself as Born in Battle, adding 5% to both your Endurance and Hit Point totals.
Marshal Self: +5 Max Endurence
You've been awared the title of Marshal For your Service to Arachnos. This has given you a 5% increase to Endurance.
This will require us to run 2 SFs. A RSF (45+ to join) and an Ice Mistral (35+ to join). We will be doing the hunts, missions, collecting the badges needed for these accolades the only badge that we won't work on getting this saturday is the 'ironman' badge for taking 1,000,000 points of damage (needed for born in battle). -

Got more sleep this this double xp then the last 3 combined. Ran a horrible horrible posi on freedom, got stuck on a mission about 60% of the way through where the glowie didn't spawn, ended up waiting for a GM for just over an hour and was finally able to move on to the next mission.
It was really awesome to see some of the people back for free reactivation weekend: saw Fista, Panzer, Iguanadon, Haavoc and few others from other servers.
Dual Pistols is really fun, despite what Flux would say. Yes the animations are over the top, but its a super hero MMO and honestly you wouldn't expect them to just pull out a gun and go bang. Damage my be light, but its a lot of AoE I mean heck even the snipe is AoE. I think it has a lot of potential espeically if it get a little bump up in damage.
We were able to run that STF to check GW and the rest of the patrons. Results with screen shots should be up later (I'm hoping sarrate took screenies).
All in all, it was an ok weekend, I had a blast teaming with alot of people on Victory. -
Lets try for this Sunday (yes its double xp) at noon Eastern. We will be 'testing' things so people should be prepared to reset on the last mission or to stop attacking and let the AVs regen back to full.
I'd like Sarrate or Ele to tank, they both seem to be able to multi-task enough to taunt and check stats with the power analyzer.
I'd like to try to get a good mix or both Def and controller debuffs so we can toggle them on and off to make sure they are working 'as intended'.
So maybe Coz on therm troller or rad troller.
Ryxx on anything.

On my last STF run, I used a a few defense inspirations when facing Ghost Widow to dodge her heal more, actually.
I 'think' there maybe some misconception also out there about what is softcap. My understanding (please correct me Des, Sarrate, and others) is that 45% gives soft cap NPCs however when you are fighting AVs I think you need a higher defense % then 45. I am just thinking back to advice Sarrate used to give me and I think he said he shoots for 60% or higher def when he is tanking the Patrons and LR. Either that or as usual he was trying to teach me and I was being a bad student and passing notes at the time. -
Thanks Slax, still gathering infomation and planning on running a STF this weekend (what a TF on double xp?!?) Hopefully, I can find a wp/fire brute with the initals B.P. to come along and help sort out this mess. Ele, Ryxx, Coz you guys up for a run this weekend?
I still think there is a posibility that defender debuffs are working on the AVs while 'something' may be amiss with controller debuffs on them. -

We may have 1 piece of the puzzle right here. I believe if my information is right: lastnights STF with Hamster had a nrg/nrg blaster and a sonic/x blaster, the emp was emp/dark, I am not sure what Hamster was or the tank or what scooters blast powers were, but from what I am seeing, GW would resist the nrg, and dark alot which would leave only the scrapper type damage and he may not have been in melee due to her heal. -
