Efficacy Adapter's Chance for Disorient is not working at all. <snip>

Efficacy Adaptor doesn't have a proc. I believe you're referring to Energy Manipulator, no? -

Amazing. Simply amazing. -
Brilliant idea and a great layout for the room -- post more screenies when you can!
-
Great base! I love all the stacked bookshelves everywhere. Makes me want to tear apart my own base and do the same, but I know I couldn't do the idea justice with the areas I have to work with.
Overall this is an amazing achievement in stacking and an impressive design for the perfect library! -
Wow love the fireplace idea, Amygdala, and you're definitely on to something with the way you have it designed! Perhaps you could go with the small stone blocks, stacked up to achieve a more rugged look for the sides though?
I think perhaps that, mixed with Flashblast's idea for the top, would provide something a little closer to what I would do, if I... you know... felt like tearing up something in one of my bases to make space for something... like... that.... um.....
*sigh*
Off to the editor.... -
Thank you all for the compliments. I spent most of my free time for about a week setting up everything in there, and I guess from everyone's reactions it was worth it.
The Lounge was started right after the servers came up on the Friday morning after Prestige Day(s) and it took literally until Sunday afternoon to get it mostly framed out. From the front you can see some of the desks' drawers, which I would have done differently if I was thinking about it the first time, but I'm satisfied with how it came out for the most part.
As for making everything its own separate room, I envisioned this base as a series of tombs, crypts, and temples hewn from the rock underground, all connected by the tunnels which are represented by the common hallways. I'm glad it comes across from seeing the pics.
Most of this wouldn't have been possible without the help from everyone on this board though. I'm just taking what I learned here and applying it to my own vision of things. So thank you to everyone who has contributed to this forum, and as I said before, thank you to EEEKK for the vet rewards, as well as all who offered to do the same.
Everyone's assistance and posts and articles and just everything that gets added to the forums is greatly appreciated. Without everyone pitching in on these boards, none of us would have the huge knowledge base (no pun intended) to work from and our works would be far more ordinary as a result. -
Grats on making it into the Scoop Cap! Definitely a base worth showing off, sir.

The Paragon Elite Legends Base -- Virtue (heroes)
This new base will be going live in the next few days as construction is all but complete. It is geared for the higher-level members of our SG to take advantage of, but maintains usability for any and all of Paragon Elite's membership to take advantage of as well. Many thanks go to everyone on this forum who provided knowledge in threads about Magic Desks or anything else, and a special thanks to EEEKK for dropping off all the vet rewards, which I didn't have access to.
All construction was done using the Prestige gained from the 15 initial members and the two days of Prestige bonuses we received. There's a little under a half-million remaining, I think, which will cover our rent for the next 2 years or so.
Overhead Layout -- This is simply an overhead view of the base, with each room numbered to give an idea of which room is where as you see the other pics.
1 Entrance Portal -- The entrance room is where we of course enter the base, and where you'll first see that this is not quite you're used to in the primarily tech-oriented Paragon Elite base, as we're using an arcane style for this base, which felt more in tune with the idea of Legends.
2 The Temple of Life -- This is our infirmary, complete with Resurrection Ring and an Inspiration Collector.
3 The Altar of Harnessed Storms -- This is our Energy Terminal, where our Power Crystal is held. There is also another Inspiration Collector.
4 The Legends Lounge -- This room of course is where we can hangout, RP, hold meetings, and more. This is the one that took the longest to make possible, and the pictures really don't do it justice, at least in my humble opinion. Another view shows off some of the upper floor, and then here we can see a small shot of part of the lower floor. I made a couple mistakes along the way but it came out more or less as I'd hoped after a full weekend devoted to its construction.
5 The Temple of Wisdom -- This is our control room. Some seating here as well, but not as much as the lounge space.
6 The Temple of Temporal Travels -- Pillar of Ice and Flame is here. 'Nuff said.
7 The Corridor to the Sky -- This room is purely here to look cool. I had to add it after I saw some things other people had done on the CoH forums with their Longbow Chasers.
8 The Crypt of Creation -- This shadowed room is full of dusty tomes of knowledge, and the tools we need for inventions. Once again, an inspiration collector here, and there are two enhancement tables.
9 Gateway of the Gods -- The telepads are here, with beacons for Atlas, Talos, RWZ, PI, Eden, Founders Falls, IP, and another location to be determined.... possibly either KR, Steel Canyon, or Galaxy.
Base tours are available upon request, and questions are always welcome. My global is @-DemonHunter -

Despite the outcry from the DOOMsayers with bare minimum hardware to play the game
[/ QUOTE ]
Point of order: My hardware handles the invasion just fine. I just happen to think they're unfun and lame.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well Cap, you can avoid them and with the patch notes for the Test Server today, soon you will even be able to ignore the Invasion messages.
[/ QUOTE ]
I was hoping to just avoid them by not playing until the event was over, only to discover to my horror that it never entirely will.
Feh.
[/ QUOTE ]
Never is inaccurate unless you mean due to the Lady Grey TF which spawns a random zone invasion upon completion.
So, with a schedule for the full invasion days, how does this negtively impact your gameplay?
[/ QUOTE ]
Simple! He'll take the System messages out when they're on the live servers so he's not "bothered" by the invasion notices and then will complain that he had to suffer through invasions when he's caught in one that he could have known about if he'd just kept the messages active.
Anyone want to take bets that this is the next complaint from the people who are anti-Invasions? -

They'd place the heavy, and the *player* would go into the base and go AFK. Not the heavy. The *player* would be completely safe. The Heavy would be sitting out there blasting at whatever patrol went by, and the player would be pulling in INF, recipes, and the like.
Clearer?
[/ QUOTE ]
Then the simple solution should have been to eliminate the ability to be AFK for more than 15 minutes, even if on a Task or Strike Force.
[/ QUOTE ]
No, a better change would be to make the heavies leave your control once you're a certain distance away, rather like losing the benefits of sidekick/lackey. Then you wouldn't have afk farming anymore, if I understand the idea correctly. No? -
[ QUOTE ]
I can't say that I was heavily into RV to begin with but now that the heavies have been nerfed this much, well, I have other things I can do with my time anyway. PvP isn't my cup of tea, but because of the badges in RV I at least gave it a shot. The heavies allowed me to actually accomplish some progress on the pillbox badges.
<snip>
[/ QUOTE ]
Personally I'm not a big fan of PvP, and I solo quite a bit, so it appears that RV can be crossed off the list of places I need to go back to for badges as well.
*shrugs* No big loss, I guess. Just another area I'll avoid now, like the other PvP zones. -

oh christ, not again. i was JUST about to get used to not getting spammed by that stupid admin chat...
MAKE US ABLE TO TURN IT OFF!!!!!

I keep hearing this request over and over in the forums. So... let me get this straight. People don't want to be around a zone when the invasions start, but also want to be able to ignore the "Civil Defense Warnings" or "Emergency Broadcast System" that tell what zone will be under attack?
Can't have it both ways.
Since they're using the red Admin channel for this, nobody has any excuse to be caught in an invasion if they don't want to be there. You can't say that it was on a channel you don't use and then had to "suffer through an invasion."
I'm sure that some people will complain no matter how things are run though.
As for not wanting to take part in the invasions, while i personally enjoy them, I've also been able to ignore them and go about my business normally in zones that were in the middle of an invasion when I wanted to. It's not that difficult to do. Just keep moving and stay out of the path of the drop ships. Not very difficult to do if you care to actually pay attention to what you're doing and where you're going. During one invasion in Steel, I had my lvl 19 (then) blaster flying around from store to store to sell off enhancements and salvage I'd acquired from drops in radio mishes. Wasn't really affected at all by the invasion. I even got a new radio mish and went to it.
Amazingly enough I didn't die, despite my being squishy. I was only hit once for that matter. That invasion had no impact on my movements at all. I simply ignored the Rikti that popped up and kept moving and they went away without firing a shot for the most part.
So how exactly does this kind of situation make your game unplayable if you don't want to involve yourselves in being defenders of Paragon City and fighting off the invasion?
In other words, take a deep breath and relax people. This isn't the end of the world.
