I am aware of the customization community involving miniatures and mini-wargaming. I, myself, play Warhammer 40,000 when I can.
-
I figured that much, I just wish there was a more specific guide with pictures and such. Or a series of videos or something.
-
So, I was playing on my newest character, The Azure Watcher, and I was thinking 'Wouldn't it be cool if I could make action figures based off of my CoX characters?'
I mean, who wouldn't want that right?
So, after browsing the internet, I found a few people already make their own custom figures. The issue I am having, though, is that I can't seem to find an easy to understand guide to making it. I was hoping you guys can help me out. Who knows, if I enjoy it enough I might start commissioning.
PS: To those waiting for the Chibis I was suppose to draw. It's been hectic lately and I just threw my scanner out so the Chibi thing is a no-go for now. If you're one of those people who wanted me to draw them a Chibi version of their characters, please send me a PM with a pic of said character so I can know who I'm suppose to be drawing once I get a new scanner. -
You'll be seeing my new character running around Atlas Park soonish on Virtue.
The Azure Watcher.
I'll post an SS...soonish XD -
Personally, I don't recruit in teams, me being in a team is rare alone, unless I've RPed with the members of the team long enough to be comfortable enough around them to recruit them. I do recruit in Atlas for the Tokusatsu Hero Force, but I don't spam unless posting an SG once every 30 minutes - 1 hour counts as spamming.
Like I said, I actually prefer to RP with someone and ask them once I feel comfortable around them.
Although, what the OP has been through has happened to me once on my Villain, Bondage Shadow. I was Ditched in Grands Ville. -_-; Then the jerk had the nerves to go and send me a tell on Adrian Smith (This was before I disbanded the House of Spiders SG) and ask me to join his SG. I asked him how he got my character's name and he admited to tracing me via my Global handle. I told him no and he threatened to report me for rules violation if I didn't join his SG. I don't know if he ever reported me or not but I know it's nice having a global ignore feature unlike in *insert popular MMO here* where you have to ignore the person on every one of their bloody characters. *insert popular MMO here* has crappy RP servers anyway, mostly eRPers having lesbian dragon bum***, annoys me. -
I said I was a bit busy but my schedule is starting to clear up, I'd never leave CoX, atleast...not for good anyway.
Blackhawk, Rocketeer, 1930s/1940s Statesman, The Shadow(Liked his movie btw), V (I know V technically isn't retro but he has the Retro feel), The Green Hornet, Dick Tracey, The Spirit and The Question (From Justice League). I guess we can throw in Zorro and the Lone Ranger since they're like...ultra-retro.
October 20th, I unlock trenchcoats so most of them will be doable.
Anything with a 1930s - 1950s feel to it really.
The backrground for my hero is that he started his career around the same time as Statesman but was frozen around mid to late 1940s and was recently thawed out when his cryochamber was discovered in the basement of an old abandoned science lab. -
So, I got an idea for a retro themed hero, like Statesman at the beginning of the City of Heroes trailer when he stops the mafia from robbing a place. So, I was wondering if you guys can show me some of your retro hero costumes so I can get some ideas for my own costume.

Finally Mastermind Minions will be 'customizable' color wise in the power editor and Epic AT powers will be customizable and Epic AT pools will be available in AE.

I am interested in the possibilities of making rooms with multiple floors. Is there a guide somewhere that I can look at to find out how?
-
I do it a few times. Mostly when I save a woman from a mugging and she says: "Every Week/Day someone tries to steal my purse!"
I'll say something like: "Perhaps you should take martial arts" or "Maybe it wouldn't happen if you just left the purse at home." -
Yeah, I had quite a bit of RP with her. Adrian and Cordelia even had a child. :/ I'm fine with the supergroup, could always form a new one but the fact that Cordelia's player didn't wait had me a bit ticked off. I'm actually tempted to delete Adrian, despite the fact he's lv.25, and remake him as something else. Not sure what though. He's a Crabspider at the moment.
-
-_-; I logged on today to find out that almost my entire supergroup led by Adrian was empty so I disbanded it. No clue where Cordelia, Adrian's 'wife', ran off too. -_-;
-
...and likely not much for awhile. A lot of stuff hit the fan all at once so I've been VERY busy. This is just to let you guys, mostly my friends, on here know.
My characters are:
Adrian Smith - Virtue - Villain(Working on Rogue for RP purposes)
Warrior of Faith - Virtue - Hero
Rider 00 - Virtue - Hero
Talkarat - Virtu - Villain
And many others, but those four are the only ones that I use enough for someone to know them. -
Whenever I die in an important mission and feel I was screwed over by the mobs. Honestly...a lv. 23 Slag Minion should not be able to oneshot a lv. 24 Crab Spider.
"FLIPPING DANG IT!" *followed by a series of pounding my fists into my desk and threatening to blow up my computer.
And yes, I actually do swear like that. I grew up with my grandparents so I use replacement words. -
Quote:In JLU he wanted to take down Metahumans, but he wound up fighting the 'natarul' members of the Justice League and still preached about how bad Metahumans were. This old lady intervenes and pretty much tells him off. He says he's only protecting her from the Metahumans and she tells him that he's the only Metahuman around there. He runs off, saying one day the JLU will betray humanity and then they will WANT him.Oh I know, and it points out that the military solution is not always the best as well as that the way to defeat the enemy is not to become the enemy.
I got all the commentary in it, and was pretty disgusted by the character, though not surprised.
I was just avoiding all that and saying the truth. The schmuck deserved a beat down for nearly killing civilians and heroes alike.
The idiot pretty much thinks he's the only 'right' one in the entire planet and everyone else is wrong about the JLU. -
Quote:Isn't it always a general who becomes a metahuman monster in comic books?General 'Thunderbolt' Ross.
So the man threw every good thing about himself to become a homicidal monster that causes more problems than solves.
Yeah...
General Wade Eiling injected himself with the 'Captain Nazi' serum in JLU in order to 'protect' the world from the Justice League. -
Same thing, only not as depressed. I'm bisexual. However, that is a discusion for later, yes?
They could say that he lost the girl between the two films? -
I thought that forum go a remove. I said I was considering it, I was just very emotionally overwhelmed. -_-; I tend to get suicidal whenever a girl dumps me. Nothing biggy, I just have emotional and relationship issues.

Quote:Sounds like he was metagaming. The fact your AT is a Stalker made him assume you were a villain blah blah blah. Basically, he used information he gained OOCly his character wouldn't have normally known ICly to dictate his character's IC actions.I ran into an interesting RP issue last night.
Jaguar Strike is my i18 Stalker. He's the son of a European fertility spirit and a South American terror god. I've been working on him and his backstory since before the i17 launch. While he is a troubled young man, the trouble is due to his vast powers and the feelings of despair and isolation they cause him. The majority of which have been sealed by a heavenly therapist in order to help him heal from depression and detachment.
His sojourn in Praetoria to aid the resistance was also suggested by his therapist (an Archangel, no less!) as an exercise to reintegrate himself with humanity.
He was always intended to be very firmly in the 'Neutral Good' range, despite shadowy powers. His ability to kill so very easily and that fact that those abilities have been sealed are referenced in his bio.
A scrapper in a pickup group tried to roleplay with me last night, but just wasn't getting it. I insisted that I wasn't evil and that I'd never been a villain when he expressed reservations about grouping with one. I even tried complaining that his expectations were like those that had caused me such grief in the past.
About the only thing I didn't do was say 'Hey, look at my character info and the number of times I've switched-- See that? That's the resistance-to-Hero switch. I've never even BEEN to the Rogue Isles, thank you very much.'
Eventually, I gave up trying to RP with him, thanked the team, and called it a night.
How would you have dealt with this situation? -
Well, I was thinking of my character being something more like Thanatos, Angeu, Smierc, the Yamaduts and other, older, traditional incarnations of death.
However, I found an example of Death being viewed as someone evil, Izanami. For those of you who don't know Japanese legends/mythology, In Kojiki, after giving birth to the fire god Hinokagutsuchi, the goddess Izanami dies from wounds of its fire and enters the perpetual night realm called Yomi-no-kuni (the underworld) that the gods retire to and where Izanagi, her husband, travels to in a failed attempt to reclaim her. He discovers his wife as not-so beautiful anymore, and, in a brief argument afterwards between them, she promises to take a thousand lives every day, signifying her position as the goddess of death. -
Only Shinigami I know about is a certain MMO, as for Bleach I don't watch it nor do I really want to as it seems like a pretty generic 'death' themed anime to me.

Quote:I must say this post has made the most sense thus far, so I will go with the suggestion of being a Vigilante. He'll be the only character I'll make Specifically for GR.I'd go with Vigilante, personally.
Vigilantes in this game aren't concerned with personal gain. They're concerned with getting the job done.
You can't be a hero because heroes in this game actively prevent people from dying.
You can't be a villain because you lack malice.
And you can't be a Rogue because death cannot be swayed by filthy lucre.
Vigilantes simply do what they believe they must. Even if that means occasionally reaping an innocent.
Also, Reapers don't have to be murderers. They can also be psychopomps, tasked with guiding souls to the next world.
Another take on the reaper is less of a "taker of souls" and more of a "Death Enforcer". From this perspective, every soul has a predestined "Time of Death". In this case, your Reaper actually doubles as a guardian angel type figure. Your job is to ensure people pass when their time has come. Not a moment before, and not a second later.
So... for example, if their was an attack on a building, you would use your reaper powers to see which victims are meant to survive. You would rescue those victims, and then reap the rest.
If someone violated their ToD (by becoming undead, for example), then you would have to hunt them down and kill them in order to maintain spiritual equilibrium.
I think it would be an interesting way to justify being a Vigilante.
As for powers, I would look into Dark Themed Powers (for obvious reasons), or Pain Domination/Empathy, depending on what AT you choose. -
Hmmm, didn't think about that. I still haven't thought of what powersets to use.
